The Giants will blow this game open against the lowly Dolphins. 31 Giants- 24 Miami proves I’m obviously (wrong) . This game doesn’t matter because the Giants are terrible at 5-7 and Miami forget about (wrong). The Giants are now tied for first place in NFC East. South Park is on and will be funny (absolutely right). I’ll get some needed sleep and feel fully awake in the morning (wrong I still need the Cappuccino) .
If you’re preaching Christianity, Traditional Judaism or Islamic (except extreme fundamental) that is great! Yet for too many in todays world these paths appear to dark for them to walk through. They reach out for a faith that has a path that they can walk on to whether it be more bumpy or longer at certain intervals is not there concern as long as they have something to truly hold a long the path they are satisfied. Basic Judaism might be one more path for them to hold on to because no matter what path they finally go to they should continue to walk with it. Faith is needed by all for the following reasons.
PURPOSE- We as individuals must find a higher purpose to our existence whether it be in the here and now or at a place in time well into a new lifetime.
FREEDOM- Faith gives the individual the freedom to do what is right and/or different even if everyone around you appears to be doing the opposite. For this is only place and time in the journey to deal with.
EXCUSE- With faith you no longer have to stand alone with the principles you hold dear but have G-D in your corner.
STRENGTH- Battles can be fought whether be of the mind, body or soul when you believe your words and emotions are being listened to by a higher authority.
DOGMA- Having certain rules and values fixed builds character that you and the world around you will appreciate it especially when others let them down.
WHO YOU ARE- Knowing that G-D created you as is means that you can proud no matter what it appears others are saying.
SOCIETY- People of faith understand that they are not meant just to serve themselves but that we are all connected because the creator invented us all.
BETTER- We must continue to strive to be a better person for our time is short and can be extended by the good deeds and character we become.
FORGIVENESS- Those of faith understand that G-D is the final judge and although we never forget we must always we be willing to open a hand to those who seek forgiveness through words or action.
REDEMPTIONS- As long as we can breathe and think we can seek redemptions from our mistakes/sins. The path might be much more difficult but a path will be revealed even if it’s not in a future life.
JUSTICE- We must seek justice but understand even if this world won’t see it done it will occur because G-D who is all good and powerful will see that it occurs at a place in time of the Lord’s time.

It’s one of those birthday ages you’re supposed to celebrate with a bit more excitement then let’s say your 49th. I’m not saying anything but let’s just say it’s a few years older then 21 … well maybe more then a few. The point is I should do something big and exciting but what should it be and how exciting can my heart and back handle at this age of the winter chicken. Winter Chicken for those that don’t get it my birthday falls in the midst of winter so any planning could turn White all over (not a racist remark just a snow one). I plan to be in NYC and have some back up plans just in case the most exciting one’s get a bit wet but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. For one doesn’t turn 21 +++++++ (keep adding) every day of the year.
You’re invited this Saturday at 10 AM to hear the one story that has had the greatest impact of my life. I know 10 AM is early but they’ll be some food and beverages that will make it worth your trip plus insight (I hope) to a story that has many colors to it. This is the story of Joseph and for those who can’t make it let me touch on some of the fine points (below) that I will be bringing up as I give the Diva Torah (Sermon) this Shabbos.
(1) ALONE- In today’s times it appears more difficult then ever to stand and practice one’s faith but can you imagine Joseph who stood alone while those all around him believed in idolatry?
(2) FAITH- We are all tested through difficult economic times, physical ailments or even death of loved ones. Yet Joseph was sold by his own brothers to be a slave and then when things appeared to be on the uptick he is sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Even then he never lost faith in G-D and knew that all his powers would only come from thee. This is truly the Rocky story for every generation.
(3) UNITY- The people as diverse as they were called to come together to prepare for a great famine and by so doing saved the world. Today we must come together to defeat an evil that we all face (Christian, Jew, Muslim, Republican, Democrat etc) Islamic Extremist that are bent on killing all that we hold dear.
Your invite -Congregation Shaarey Israel -18 Montebello Road, Montebello NY- Saturday 12/05/15- 10 AM
It may take time to have law enforcement officials reveal that there is a link between the San Bernardino Massacre and ISIS or a ” direct link” may not be found but rest assured ISIS has some culpability. For every time ISIS completes an evil mission whether here or aboard it inspires other Islamic Extremist to act out in an evil way. These individuals see ISIS as winning in forming the Islamic Caliphate and their evil acts as one way to build on this demonic regime. That is why the following steps (below) must be taken if were are truly going to defeat this evil before it continues to kill the innocent.
(1)FBI LIAISON’S – The FBI should have liason’s that work within every Islamic community in the U.S (openly and discreetly if necessary) to try to pull out individuals with Jihadist goals before they occur.
(2) ANNIHILATE ISIS- It is not enough to defeat ISIS in a battle here or there but to destroy all resources that give it any strength (financial, communications, militarily etc) so that it is clear to even the Islamic Extremist that they have been defeated.
(3) PROP UP MODERATES- Help fund and support moderate Islamic and Democratic movements throughout the middle east and around the world where Islam is the predominate religion.
(4) UNITE- Political Leaders must stand together against this evil no matter the divide on other issues and put this at the top of their agenda even if it’s at the cost of losing an election.
I believe it’s very generous that Mark Zuckerberg will be giving away 99 % of his shares to his company since his arrival of his daughter but let’s consider the following points (below) as well.
(1) This will be done over the course of the couples life – (A great tax deduction for the families life)
(2) Great Public Relations move without even dipping into their pockets.
(3) It’s estimated to be 45 billion dollars can you imagine spending that amount of money in many lifetimes?
(4) This is an incredible power move as he will decide who to save and who to ignore.
(5) There daughter will still be left with a billion or so in the will. Not a bad inheritance.
Is my last name Winkle because the last time I heard a Tyson fight it started with a Mike and lasted 30 seconds. It appears I’ve been asleep in terms of the boxing world and hope this Google search will wake me up. I know it’s not just me (I hope) but others who have seen boxing lose much of it’s luster/hype from the days of Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson, and Holyfield till today’s days where I can’t even pronounce/spell the world champions name. In our days there was the great white hope that would bring diversity to the sport today that has flipped upside down where this title is as white as Vanilla ice cream. Where is that American dream who comes from the rough streets to battles his way to the top. Yes I’ve seen all the Rocky movies and without going off point too much Creed was great. I understand that with a 1000 channels and competition from Ultimate Fighting that it’s almost impossible to return to the glory days but with Mr. Winkle now awake at least I’ll be in the ring even with a Tyson that doesn’t begin with Mike.
The Art 1A+ Channel would encompass the world of art with a selection of shows that appeal to the artist in all of us. Here are just a few of the shows that would appear on this network.
(1) THE ARTIST- This show would explore the life and art of some of the most famous artist(s) and how their life experiences influenced what they presented to the world.
(2) AVANT GARDE- A show that explores what is new in the art world and who are the new players.
(3) TEEN & ARTIST- Can an artist inspire someone from the flick on and off generation to view art in truly the time it takes to absorb it.
(4) POLITICS & ART- Who are the artist that dare to challenge the conventional wisdom of what artist are supposed to think or feel?
Most of us want a home cooked meal on Thanksgiving but how far do we go with the home cooked part is the question? I’m sure most of us are not going to the extent of milking the cow to churn the butter but please no frozen Boston Market. I’m excited to cook some dishes for our family traditional festival but don’t want to burn the house down or add extra blood to the Apple Pie. I guess it’s all about the degree your willing to take or what you consider home cooked that will make this determination but I leave it this way make something that you’re whole family will participat in and that taste of love will spread through your Thanksgiving meal.
