5 people needed
I believe there are 5 key people needed (see below)to create a successful business venture. Sometimes the people on such a team may have to overlap positions but it’s more efficient if their work is done separately. These must be people with the highest integrity in the work they perform and work well within these team structure. Of coarse in the end all success is dependent on the will of G-D but we must be willing to put in the seeds if we want a plant to grow.
(1)VISION- This individual has the creativity to plan the large picture of what he/she wants to accomplish. They keep the team focused on this goal.
(2) DETAILS – An individual who insures all the steps are thoroughly reviewed before an action is taken and has a back-up plan in case a step fails.
(3) FINANCE- He/she understands the monies needed to run such an operation and has connections to insure that those monies are available and at a rate that makes the venture successful.
(4)COMMUNICATIONS- This person has the skills to communicate this concept to the key market needed to get it off the ground. They must be familiar with the demographics that this product or venture is trying to reach.
(5)PERSONNEL- Once your venture gets out from the blue prints stage this individual can find the key staff to run the operation and keep them on task.
Friendly-The Good -Bad- and Ugly
I was shocked when I learned in H.S that I won “Friendliest Person”. It never even occurred to me that I was friendly it was just natural. To this day people continue to ask me who are you saying hi to? Why are you talking in the elevator? It’s just who I am. Here are some benefits and negatives (below) on being friendly. The ugly side is further below.
BENEFITS
1. You don’t have to wait for someone to start up a conversation.
2 You can ask the questions you want.
3 It can help to start up a new friendship.
4. Know one will no you’re flirting.
NEGATIVES
1. People expect you to be friendly always.
2. Many people will assume that you are more popular then you are.
3. Many people expect you to continue the conversation.
4. Some people hate friendly people
5. Know one will no you’re flirting.
UGLY- It has nothing to do with the column but I promised you ugly.
Either the most profound thought of the day or the stupidist
Do you think when they developed the word leaf that they were considering the word “leaving”? As we all know a leaf goes through a cycle of brilliant colors through it’s life only to leave us before a new season begins. Was it a Freudian slip when the created this word or am I just being a bit too deep.
Just like life they start out clinging to their mother tree. Then they become separated and their life becomes full of exciting and vibrant colors. Yet just when they are the most beautiful and distinct their colors start to become paler. The leaf either starts to fade gracefully from this earth or is torn apart by the conditions the world brings upon it. Finally the leaf can go down a drain pipe and be sucked down below the ground or become part of the ingredients as mulch to start a new life full of brightness and hope.
End of Times a Jewish Version
I recently spoke at a discussion on the “End Of Times A Jewish Version” . I was called in to lead this discussion since the Rabbi got sick. Here are a few tidbits on this discussion (below) and a website (click below) for additional information.
(1) There will be great turmoil in the world before the Moshiach/Messiah (recessions around the world, and dictators will control countries )
(2) The Moshiach will be bring various factions of Judaism together and bring them back to Israel where the Temple will be rebuilt
(3) People’s of the world will recognize the Moshiach/Messiah and all the world will seek G-D. There will be peace, great technological advances and the economy will do well.
(4) People will return from the dead. The most holy may return as soon as Moshiach arrives and many others after 40 years of his reign.

Am I becoming a food snob?
I can’t take the taste of plain white bread and please don’t even think about milk chocolate as a dessert. My taste for chocolate is getting higher and higher. It used to be that I would settle for any dark chocolate but now it must be 70% Cocoa for my taste buds to approve it. What is happening?!!
Wait a minute wasn’t I just at McDonalds after a stop at White Castle? I still enjoy the occasional bologna sandwich (now with whole wheat bread) too. Hmm, maybe I’m okay after all. Now if I can just get rid of that peasant chocolate given during Halloween.
Boycott Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is one time of the year all Americans from various faiths can eat dinner with family and friends, while thanking G-D for the bounties and freedom that we continue to enjoy in this precious land. I’m a proud capitalist but I believe it’s important for all American’s (except those needed in public safety) to have an opportunity to take a moment with friends and/or family to enjoy this truly special day. Therefore I will not shop on “Thanksgiving” (except for the emergency Cranberry Sauce) and ask that you do the same. Please spread the word to family and friends to do the same so that these stores will realize it doesn’t pay to destroy this holiday for so many.
