A Family business- What has not been told
Many people believe those in the “Family Business” have it made in the shade but I don’t believe these individuals truly evaluate all the parameters that go into running such an enterprise. It is true that those in a family business have a place to go to after their schooling but is that truly a place for everyone? I have discovered not only from my own personal journey but the journey of many of my friends and colleagues that this trip is only for a few and many people jump off before they even start traveling. Here are a few difficulties you might encounter going into such a venture.
(1) EXPECTATIONS – It is hard to live up to your “old man” once in awhile but in a family business your expected to live up to those demanding terms everyday
(2) GRATITUDE- Don’t expect to get a tap on the back when you complete a great task because this is what is expected of you.
(3) HOURS- In a family business you are expected to put in any hours needed to complete the task and of course without any immediate incentive package.
(4) OTHERS- No matter how far you take this business many will discount your success because of the “unfair” starting place that you have. By the way most family businesses fail after the 2nd generation takes over.
(5) FAMILY- In an ordinary business when your work is done you get a break from your business associates but of course that doesn’t occur in the family business. “Christmas” is just around the corner so don’t let your family business interfere with gift giving.
(6) SCREW UPS- When you make a make mistake in your normal course of business that is known to a few colleagues but when it is in a family business it spreads through the entire family. The good and the bad can leave a lasting impression on those you love the most.
In conclusion there are many benefits being in a family business but if you don’t have the right family it’s best to look for a job elsewhere.

Am I strange?
COURT UPDATE- I was called in to Jury Duty at 9:15 and just found about the case at 11AM. They are saying it’s a 3 week commitment and as much as I love to help I think my business would greatly suffer. I hope they let me go.
I have jury duty and am looking forward to it. I know that my work will pile up in my office, I understand that I’ll probably be sitting around for hours, I know that I might even lose monies to participate but I’m still drawn to this service. Let me explain why I think I might not be strange.
(1) CIVIC DUTY- I consider it a great honor and responsibility to insure that justice is provided to all our citizens.
(2) FREE TIME- I have no excuse not to read more and make those calls that I have put off.
(3) INSIGHT- I’m interested in discovering all the tidbits about our court system.
(4)A TRUE BREAK- I have so much to do at work and at home that I sometimes don’t give myself a moment to take a break and smell the legal briefs.

Bringing the past back to life
Imagine sharing a special memory from the past with family and friends in a way that brings the event back to life for everyone. Imagine having your family journey with you to your past life and being able to view it again and again. “LIFE MEMORIES” would provide such a service.
Life service provides a beautiful video of the hypnotic session(s) that you can watch again and again to gain insight into the person that you are today. It’s also a video that you can share with loved ones so they can experience those special moments that were in the past hidden in your unconscious. You also can invite your friends/family to ask questions of you in your unconscious state that enhance your relationship with them. For example please go back to that special moment with mom that made you laugh. It’s like taking a trip down memory lane and taking your friends and family with you.
Please note I’m looking to become the first guinea pig for this new venture.

Veteran’s Day-A time to reflect
As I get up in another day of the “Land of The Free” I take a moment to think about those who have sacrificed so much for me to enjoy this life, “Veterans”. I realize without their brave sacrifice me, my friends, family, and fellow citizens would not be enjoying the freedom and opportunity that we all too often take for granted. So on behalf of those who might forget that sacrifice I say from the bottom of my heart and soul thank you. May G-D bless you, your family and grant you the appreciation that you deserve not just on Veterans Day but everyday.
