Either the most profound thought of the day or the stupidist

leaf

Do you think when they developed the word leaf that they were considering the word  “leaving”?  As we all know a leaf goes through a cycle of brilliant colors through it’s life  only to leave us before a new season begins. Was it a Freudian slip when the created this word or am I just being a bit too deep.

Just like life they start out clinging to their mother tree. Then they become separated and their life becomes full of exciting and vibrant colors.   Yet just when they are the most beautiful and distinct their colors start to become paler. The leaf  either starts to fade gracefully from this earth or is torn apart by the conditions the world brings upon it. Finally the leaf can go down a drain pipe and be sucked down below the ground or become part of the ingredients as mulch to start a new life full of brightness and hope.
