When your plans turn to SNOW

snowed out 2snowed out 1

It’s amazing how even the most careful plans can suddenly change all from one 4 letter word that I hate to repeat, “SNOW”.   It takes the bravest of souls to battle this monster called Snow especially when millions of it’s flaky (no anti-gay slur) friends join them.   Then if there other 4 letter friend joins them (WIND) you can just forget about it. This combination brings to mind many other 4 letter words are used as it is occurring (especially if you parked outside).

Yet I’ve learned to respect these words because they have the force of thousand of Rabbi’s as they force millions to observe the Sabbath.  It also is a time when families and friends are forced to spend time together drinking Hot Chocolate, sitting by the fire place and even making a snowman. Come to think of it bring on the snow just please wait till I don’t have plans.

Senator Schumer is not king Schumer

Schumer

No you’re not #1 the people of NY deserve better.

We are told that Senator Schumer is a shoe in and that nobody can truly challenge him for his Senate seat. This disgusts me because the Senator works for the people of NY and yet the policies he votes for are against most of those NY’s.  I’m also disgusted because no representative should feel like there seat is guaranteed just because they have the resources of the political elite! We the people should insure that we put up a candidate who will fight to earn that seat. I would be honored to fight for that seat if there was a path and support for me to do so.  Here are just a few examples of why Senator Schumer should be seeking a different career path.

(1) Senator Schumer has continually voted for increasing taxes on all New Yorkers. Rich, Middle and even poor.

(2) The Senator has voted to over-regulate and in-turn destroy business opportunities in the state.

(3) Schumer has voted for restrictions on bank and financial institutions that only help the big institutions and hurt community and local banks. These are the banks that support small businesses and start-ups.

(4) Senator Schumer voted in favor of Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel who has made anti-Semitic and anti-Israel remarks throughout his career.

(5) The Senator has shown disrespect and contempt for his employer the people of NY, especially those who see things differently. We expect our Senator to take a strong stand on issues that other NY’s might disagree with but we also expect him/her to respectful and listen to those from the state with differing points of view.

I can go on and on and on but I’ve got to go to work to pay for the Obamacare mess he voted for.

Who to tell?

corruption 2

It has come to my attention that the Purchasing Department of a certain City Institution has blacklisted some vendors for no reason. These vendors provided goods and services to this institution for years at much lower prices then they are currently buying these goods for. This means that the taxpayer monies are being thrown away like paper in a fireplace.

Those in the lower levels of authority at this institution are disgusted and suggested that I make a complaint.  Yet when I went to call 311 to report this abuse they had know one I could report it to. I then spent about a half an hour trying to speak to someone from the State Attorney General office who directed me to the City Attorney General Office where I spent another c. 1/2 hour on the phone.  Where do I go now? Luckily I have a friend who has the ability to spend some time investigating which investigating agencies I should go to otherwise I probably wouldn’t have the time to pursue the truth.

This is just another example of why big government is not the answer.  Although most of the workers at these institutions are fine outstanding members of our community it only takes a few corrupt individuals at the top to destroy all their good works. What makes it most enticing for these individuals to act in such a corrupt way is that there is no oversight and no need for being under budget like in the private sector where spending too much for a product can put you out of business.

Santa Clause

WARNING THIS COLUMN IS NOT FOR THOSE THAT BELIEF IN SANTA CLAUSE OR OBAMACARE

How would Santa Clause exist if he actually lived today? I know this is as deep as “What does the Fox Say” but someone has to answer these questions and I believe that I’m just this person because I never believed in Santa Clause. PLEASE SHARE AND ADD YOUR COMMENTS.

1. 11/30 would be the cut off date to determine if your naughty or nice.

2. Santa Clause would work with the NSA to truly determine who is naughty or nice.

3. There would have to reindeer stationed at various locations otherwise Santa would be charged with animal abuse.

4. Fed Ex and UPS would deliver most of the presents

5. He would have to go to gym on a regular basis to be ready for this strenuous day.

6  There would be Santa body guards when he went to bad neighborhoods

7. PETA would be monitoring the treatment of the reindeer.

8. Santa’s Sled would be “Nascared” with hundreds of corporate sponsors fighting for a space.
