The death of a loved one appears so tragic to us but when we realize that they are in a better place the pain slowly dissipates like the body they leave behind. We want them to be here with us to enjoy our moments of joy and comfort us during difficult times but understanding that they are working for a higher source now, can ease some of that pain. Our memories of good times can appear painful in the present but can give us comfort and gratefulness for having had the luck to experience them at all. It is difficult to deal with what could have been if G-D let them stay to complete there work here but knowing that they are home in peace should help us in the future.
Today’s Golden Calf
It always appeared hard for me to imagine how people could build and worship a Golden Calf when G-D appeared so directly in front of them only a moment ago but today many of us have our own Golden Calf’s. These individuals act in ways that they know only lead down the wrong path but worse off they tried to persuade others to act in such ways as well. We might not have seen the direct light of G-D through a burning bush but there are so many signs (rainbow, babies eye’s, breath of air etc) that even if we try we can’t turn away. Here are just a few examples of Golden Calf’s (below) that shine brightly today instead of being annihilated as should be the case.
ISIS & ISLAMIC TERRORISM- These groups actions against innocent civilians is anything but religious and the response from the west especially as it kills innocent Christians is deplorable.
DEATH DRUG DEALERS Those that deal drugs such as Heroin and Crack and try to persuade others to join are actually leading many down a path of destruction and death.
ANTI ZIONIST CAMPAIGNS Individuals and groups that have preached the destruction of the Jewish people and/or state hasn’t only lead to their own demise and death.
ATHEIST CAMPAIGNS Groups that actively try to destroy those of faith through belligerent and hateful campaigns will only cause pain and suffering to themselves.
Jobs you wouldn’t take.
Many people claim that you would take any job if the circumstances were desperate but I disagree? ARE THERE ANY JOBS YOU WOULDN’T TAKE NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU BECAME? Here (below) are 5 jobs that come to my mind. Please share your thoughts.
(1) PEANUT TESTER- This job would be a suicide mission and a painful one as my allergy to peanuts is extreme.
(2) ABORTIONIST- I would never be willing to take one innocent life to extend my own and even the thought of being involved in some way in this industry is repugnant to my very soul.
(3) IDOL MAKER- This is a position that would hurt me in this life and the afterlife.
(4) CRACK/HEROIN DEALER- How could I sell a drug that puts a bullet in a chamber for someone to pull the trigger.
(5) PORNOGRAPHIC “ARTIST”- My talents will stay private in this area.
Like Yourself’s?
If you lived in a world which was made up of most people who were genetically exact versions of yourself but just came from different backgrounds would you like yourself’s? If one of those genetically exact you was raised in a dysfunctional family would that person still turn out the way you did? On the other hand if one of these genetically exact you was raised by a billionaire who pampered you would you be as empathetic as you are today? Are there genetically exact you that would turn out to be a criminal or a lawyer, a singer or a promoter? This goes to the basic question of nature vs nurture but deals with the individual you. Can our good strong side come out no matter what the circumstances are or does the environment truly control us?
Annoying but Enjoyable
Let’s face it sometimes we love to hang around annoying people. It’s like eating that burger; we know it may not be good for us but it is enjoyable for the moment. Annoying people can be entertaining especially when they’re not annoying you. They are more likely to say what their feeling in a way that’s less then tactful and give you an opinion that’s a bit off the mark. When moments with your good friends get a little bland and an annoying person to the conversation and you’ll get a kick. Annoying people might cause you pains in certain parts of your body but laughter and entertainment in other parts. So take your annoying people once in a while but warning over use can be dangerous.
Israel Strong-AIPAC
I didn’t know what to expect when I attended my first AIPAC conference but for some reason felt I had to be there. It wasn’t just to get away for my wife’s 50 birthday, or get a day off from work it wasn’t something much bigger that drew me to this conference. It was the need to be with others that wanted to keep Israel strong. Boy did I find those others, over 16,000 people attended from every political persuasion, race and religion and all called upon for the same purpose. The variety of different people who normally didn’t break the same Matzoh or bread together came together to say that we stand with Israel during these tough times. It was amazing to learn how important our alliance is to both parties not only militarily and through a security perspective but economically and socially as well. That is why even if you might disagree with the way the Prime Minister was invited to speak before a joint committee of the House and the Senate, that his message was too vital to ignore. For the threat from Iran isn’t just an Israel threat but a threat to the entire security of the Western World. To ignore such a key voice is to ignore the words that might keep America safe as well. That is why I ask you to strongly consider not voting for or supporting the following Senators and Congress people (below) who refused to listen and show their support. For if they don’t listen to such a true ally can you really trust them to listen to you?

Family Socialism
Even the greatest capitalist practices family socialism at some point the only difference is when we let that point end if at all. When our children are “young” we provide for their good life even though they don’t financially contribute to the pie unless there a child protege or actor. Once they reach adulthood we can continue to provide for their basics and more depending on their true ability to become independent or our perception of this ability. Depending on our child’s skill level and ability to contribute that skill to society can also play a key role in this decision making. For those parents who have a child who is severly disabled or suffers from a life debalitating disease the socialism model will probably work for a lifetime. For those parents who support their children’s goal to achieve an artistic endeavor that socialist model will also play a prominent role although they might draw you a picture or two. Unlike socialism in society family socialism works because it is truly based on love between the members of such a unit so that they will try to achieve as much independence as possible. Even in such small units family squabbles over how that pie is spent can continue and become very hostile at times. Family socialism is the only form of socialism we should promote to a decree because when it’s implemented correctly it allows families to take care of each other and lesson’s the role of governmental intervention.
“Borrowing Seats”
You haven’t paid for the “prime seats” at the ball park, football stadium, concert hall etc but there not in use so why not let your butt keep them warm? I could understand if you plan to vandalize the seats, have a bad case of flatulation, or a soda spiller but otherwise why not share those seats with a few friends. Not only am I doing a good deed to the formal renter or owner of such seats by keeping them warm but making sure the entertainer performs at their highest level because they are not looking at a sad empty seat. It’s a win, win situation for even the security guard gets to bring home some extra bacon by earning a few extra dollars by looking the other way. Therefore I will continue to buy the cheap seats and hope that my friends don’t mind sharing the better seats not only for my enjoyment but the general good of society. I knew I could be a lawyer.
The Rush….
Today is one of the busy, crazy days we all have. We’re rushing out the door before we realized we even got up. The mind is thinking faster then the body (at least we hope so) as our hands forget to grab the keys, wallet or cell phone. “The Rush” is on before the rooster gets out of his pajamas. Our last dream and our first meeting emerge together as our eyes begin to draw us in. We rush as if our life depends on it only to realize we could have slept a few extra minutes.
Net Neutrality?
“Net Neutrality” has a positive sound to it but in reality is a disaster for most consumers of internet service. The government is going to try to insure that we all get equal speed when using the internet but as we’ve seen with other governmental regulations it will only slow the service we all receive, cut innovation, and raise our costs. When we try to make things “equal for all” it will always the lower quality we receive as a whole because the incentive to perfect a system through profits will be eliminated as can be illustrated through the cell phone. When the cell phone first came out it was an expensive large item for only the wealthiest in society at an average cost of $1000 but do to the desire of companies to increase their profits they found a way to make them less expensive. Competition ensued and now even those with the least among us have cell phones with most of the same games and gadgets that all of us have. A true system of free enterprise is the best system to keep costs and services at the best level for all because profits are are greater incentive then punishment.
