Is it bettter to be Late then…

running late

Is it better to be late then to not come at all? The truth is I’m always late for Synagogue but if I came earlier my mind probably would have left hours ago.  I can’t usually help being late for work because a whole bunch of people have also decided they didn’t want to be late for work at the same time and highway I’m on.  I’m testing out “Fashionable Late” as I write my blog 12 hours later then normal.  Yet don’t blame me that this occurred but look to the hotel 4 Star hotel that charges for Wi Fi service while my 2 1/2 Star hotel gives me Wi Fi, Office Space and pool (good for thinking time) for free.  It is not the time that you arrive but the perception of that time to those that are waiting.

News that effects you!

breaking news

What news actually effects you? I’m not speaking about the news that makes you feel a certain way during a day but changes that day almost entirely.  Of course weather news has a direct effect on us unless we leave in a strong bubble or live underground.  Economic news can also have an impact if our office must cut back or suddenly has a new position for hire. This type of news can also impact the prices we pay at the pump and the grocery store.  We can feel good when our sports team wins the big game or our favorite star wins an award but the true effect on our life’s is just emotional.  We can mourn the death of a great leader but unless we worked with them the impact is just emotional as well.  News hits us most when it’s closest to home yet many of us (including myself) can be glued to a story half away around the world with an animal that is far removed from us.  I guess in the end we are a emotional creatures and although a story may not directly change the flow of the day it’s drain or gain on us can truly make or break that day.

Hillary Clinton the Truth?

Many of us only speak, listen and write to those that support our views so how can be arrive at the truth and with a key Presidential Election around the corner we must rely more on facts then feelings.  It is important for the leader of free world to make you feel good by being the first or speaking “your language” but competence is just as important.  The truth is if anyone has read my blogs will know I’m not the biggest or any what supporter of Hillary Clinton but I’m willing to listen to some facts that I might have ignored for whatever reason. If for some reason those with differing opinions convince me otherwise who knows I could support her (pigs have flown in planes). Seriously though if we are to make an honest assessment of the Senator then not only will we be able to convince those in the clergy but those outside to join us as well.  Therefore I invite supporter and detractors to join in a thoughtful, respectful and truthful debate on her competence for the oval office at Hillary Clinton the Truth on Facebook at  https://www.facebook.com/groups/1409073892733908/.

HILLARY OUT IN 2016

I know all the political pundits are saying that Hillary is going to run in 2016 but what if they’re wrong. What if the hype is meant for a different goal entirely or if other factors weigh down her decision so she decides it’s not worth jumping in the ring. Here are a just a few reasons (below) why she why might pull out before it’s even begun.  Please feel free to share with the Senator.

(1) She can work behind the scenes to see who the Democratic nominee will be and become a key influence in the future of this party as a whole without having to be observed under the microscope as a nominee is.

(2) The Clinton Foundation has many skeleton’s and bodies (not literally… I think) in the closet that such a run would open up to public scrutiny and even create legal problems for the Clintons.

(3) One of those “deleted emails” is discovered by the “Fifth Estate” or hacker and was of political nature not personal.

(4) This email story doesn’t dissipate in the public eye but grows to both eye’s for even staunch Democrats to see.

(5)   Her laugh is revealed to come from an actual witch.  Okay this one is a bit stupid but any reason not to run is a good reason.

Selfish Purchase

cigarettes

The only two item that I could that of that are truly selfish are cigarettes and hard drugs. For all other items give others around you some benefit whether they enjoy looking at the item or being around it but cigarettes and hard drugs only bring slow destruction and even death. It might appear to be selfish to eat a piece of cake alone but the joy you feel after eating such a dessert brings others happiness. You might believe that buying a book and reading it alone would be selfish but the knowledge you supply others is truly generous. Cigarettes and hard drugs on the first try might appear harmless but there additive nature proves that this is not the case. Hard drugs is of course worse not only for the damage it does to the user but to those who kill to bring it to market.  Either product gives the love one the same vision as we watch loved ones spend hard earned monies on bullets pushed into their loved one’s heart and soul.  G-D willing they kick these habits before the bullet goes to far and they commit the ultimate selfish act leaving us before their time is due.

Can’t Run

run for office

I’ve always had a desire to run for public office to see if my ideas can truly help people but I can’t run (maybe walk). I haven’t committed a felony although that would probably help me in some campaigns it’s just I’m missing some of those key traits or have extra traits that would kill such a campaign. Here (below) are just a few.

(1) CRIER- (not the one that tells the news). I make John Boehner look stoic. Whether it’s during speech’s or celebrations the water comes to my eye’s and voice.

(2) BODIES- The skeleton’s in my closet have grown over the years and although none of them are especially troubling being on the right makes speeding appear to be a felony.

(3) SMILING- Every baby doesn’t make me smile a matter facts some of them are actually ugly (not to their mother).

(4) YANKEES- I’m willing to cheer for the home town team except when that team is the dreaded Yankees and a certain hockey team that might move to NY.

(5) PORK- There are certain foods that are served at various political functions that might help me get elected but will kick me out of the higher stairs.

(6) OPERA- Certain political events will assure that I finally get some rest eye which won’t look good to the viewers eye. Just thinking about Opera makes me yawn.

(7) ACTION- Politics can be a slow drama when I’m more into the action films where things are actually accomplished for the good of the people.

Let them decide

decider

I usually like to be the “Decider” (pardon my Bush) but sometimes it’s best to let others decide. By giving others the power they also are given the responsibility and as such it’s out of your hands. The restaurant, movie, or products was lousy,  sorry but it wasn’t my decision. Yet what happens when their decisions work out better then yours do? Well then hopefully we learn to listen better to those individuals when we become the “Decider” again.

Hillary 2016?

I’m curious why there is such a draw to Hillary Clinton for 2016 and therefore listed some of the reasons that I can logically conclude are in her favor (below) with a bit of a rebuttal. PLEASE SHARE YOUR OWN THOUGHTS.

IVY LEAGUE LAWYER- Isn’t that President Obama’s greatest accomplishment and if your the 37% that still support him well maybe this isn’t the right blog post for you.

WOMAN- Hillary is a woman. According to the 2009 Census there are 158.9 million women in the United States so I’m not sure that’s such a big draw. Please also note that this was 2009 and I’m sure a few million more talent woman were added to the census.

SENATOR- There are currently 20 Women Senators serving in the Senate with many other past senators also to choose from. Plus for those liberals out there 16 of them are Democrats.

SECRETARY OF STATE- 3 Women have held this position and Hillary’s resume is not the strongest of those 3 (Benghazi, current crisis in the middle east, restart button with Russia which started them invading countries etc)

FIRST LADY- Many qualified still remain on that list including 2 Bush’s.

STAND BY YOUR MAN- She definitely takes the cake for this one but just say no might have been a better answer.

SCANDALS- If your looking for a politician who has been involved in the most scandals and drama well then I guess you have your candidate.

INVESTMENT ADVISER-  To tell you the truth I think she would be  better as  an investment consultant as she was able to take a $1000 investment in Cattle Futures and turn it into a $100,000 profit in only 10 months and the Clinton Foundation is raking in the dough almost everyday.

Selfish Sixties

60's

I believe that the 60’s were truly the “Me Generation“.  It is true that those who participated in the 60’s Civil Rights movement are not found in this word because they were willing to sacrifice limb and even life to bring about peaceful change but they were the exception not the rule.  Whether it be the immediate gratification many of that generation went through by indulging in illegal drugs or illicit sexual behavior that had nothing to do with love but animal impulses;  this generation was truly full of what makes me feel good without consequences.  Even many in the Anti-War movement were moved less by the plight of the Vietnamese then fear of themselves being drafted. What made this more reprehensible is the way some of these people would act toward those who came back from service that were willing to put their life on the line to defend their freedoms.  In conclusion I don’t mean to indict an entire generation but to claim it was full of individuals that wanted “Peace & Equality” is even more invalid.

Happy & Angry Surprises

surprise 2

Nothing makes a person more happy or more angry then a surprise. Whether it be a simple act of  buying a cup of coffee to someone you never did before or acting in a way that shocks your friend or associate your actions will get a response.  For we can deal with the predictable annoying person and take for granted the actions of a kind person but when those roles can switch so can our entire day and our perspective as a whole.  Surprises can cause a greater surprise to the one giving them in a way they never expected.  Just when you thought you had it all figured out a surprise will come and shake it all up.  So give someone a surprise today but make sure it’s a good one.
