I’m still disgusted by the treatment of the Cuban people by their “government” and feel the boycott should be in effect till conditions improve but today I bought a Chocolate Bar by Spriingli with beans from Cuba. Before you pass judgement on me let me tell you that I got my first sample for free and it had such a unique flavor that temptation led me to buy it. Further note although this chocolate is coming from Cuba the company that is formulating the product is Swiss based.  I’m not going to become a regular taster but felt it’s flavor was so unique I needed to share with my loved one’s for you never know when such a flavor won’t be available again.  So yes I might have been a bit of a hyprocite with this purchase but at least I’m honest enough to admit and taste it.

The key to being successful is not only knowing that you need to seek advise but who is worthy of your listening. For sometimes those that appear the least likely to have good advise are the most brilliant and those who were brilliant are dummies on this subject.  You must be able to see beyond the words they express and find out the motivations of such advisors as well as there exact knowledge/curiosity on this matter. Therefore keep a large file and be willing to seek many different advisors but in the end you will be the one who has to decide whether to truly listen and follow.

You might think you’re rebelling from society but you probably feel you have to fit into “your own society”. Would a punk rocker wear a suit or would a goth woman decide for the day to bring some color in their light, I tend not to believe so.  So even though you want to be an individual in the greater world are you truly being so in your own world or are you a follower there?  Being a Rebel I try to have links in various worlds and make sure that one doesn’t take over my entire rebellious nature.

Your mind can control your behavior way after the stimulus has been removed. Just a thought of feeling tired can have your eyes feeling heavy in just a moments notice even after a restful night sleep. A bad smell can stay with you long past the flush. We have a tendency to hold onto thoughts even when there is no logical reason for this to occur. I believe it’s part of a self defense mechanism just in case these actually things or feelings suddenly sneak up on us.  Yet if we can’t recover to the real world within a “reasonable” amount of time it’s time to get the help we need but the question is will we know it in time or will we trust another to tell us the truth even if our minds tell us something else.

It’s amazing that close to 50 years ago Jerusalem was won for the benefit of the entire world! This holy land is now open to people of all faiths as they walk and pray together. It was 50 years ago that brave Israeli soldiers,  fighting against enemies from all sides that sought its complete annihilation, defeated the enemy and liberated the land with their own flesh and blood. Yet today some in the world community suggest they give it back. Back is the operative term for this city was nothing as it is today before the war for liberation with open sewage littering the streets and open to only those of one particular faith. Let us pledge and fight if necessary to keep Jerusalem in the hands of those who will revere it’s sacredness today and in the future, the Israeli’s. May G-D continually bless Jerusalem and all it’s peaceful inhabitants, protectors and visitors.

Today I was given one of the greatest compliments I ever received “that I think in such a creative way that it’s hard for other’s to keep up with let alone comprehend”. Yet if some people believe that my mind has a touch of genius I believe it might also have a touch of insanity. Not to the point of seeking professional help but in a way that continues to bang into the same door even though the key can be found under the mat. Here are just a few examples.

(1) FEAR OF FAILURE- I rush to complete my work with the mind set that it will never get done even though experience teaches me  that I usually complete it way before the work clock is set in anyone else’s mind.

(2)  FEAR OF CONFLICT- My mind will assume the worst about a conflict even when such a conflict hasn’t occurred with a similar situation in the past. If a conflict has occurred I assume the worst even if it’s just for a short time.  I’m doing much better on this front.

(3) ANXIETY OVER FREE TIME- I’m consumed with what to fill my or my loved one’s free time even if it’s just a few moments.

(4) MAKING THE WORLD HAPPY- It’s taken awhile for me to accept that it’s not my responsibility to make those around me happy in my presence.

Last night I experienced a dream where I was getting married and didn’t even know who this person was?  I realized as I lay in bed trying to go back to sleep that I’m not sure how I got HERE?  Yes, of course if I walked back through the steps of life I would see the pattern that got me to this place but in my mind I still find myself being that 16 year old boy trying to find myself.  I might have a bit more gray and wrinkles yet too often I still search the world  trying to find just the right shoe’s to fit in. How did I get here is more of statement then a question.  Of course that leads to the next question am I truly going in the right direction or should I turn around/stop?  Well as long as these feet are walking I guess I’ll continue down this path as my dreams question those steps.
