Back to Basics

We begin with our birthday suit and just the needs to survive and in the end that is what we are usually left with but what happens if we take a path down this road in between?  As the stock market took a huge  tumble this week many a retirement plan, exciting vacation, new car,  or switch to a new job was put on hold as cash flow appeared to  dip.  When the  going gets tough do we toughen up or bunker in?  Do we settle for the basics until that cliff appears further away or do we take that leap of faith?  If G-D forbid our assets do become depleted can we be happy with the basics food, shelter and a touch from a loved one as we cling on or is too loose a grip on our “reality”?  The truth is in life no step is guaranteed so let’s enjoy the ride wherever it might take us and learn to appreciate the steps we’ve taken along the way.

THIS EXISTS!

emotions

I thought I was creating a new type of therapy but “Drama Therapy” actually exists. Now it’s my job to try to expand this form of helping people.  What better way to deal with your emotions and your reaction then practice them in the “artificial world”.  This way when you feel overwhelmed in the real world you can learn how to deal with it better through the artificial experiences that you’ve gone through.   It also is a therapy that allows you to let go of these burnt up feeling that can bring you down and hold you there. “Drama Therapy” could be the therapy that brings  those who have difficult in this world the skills they truly need  for success.

I would!

doubt

If a loved one asks if you would and  it is in the past tense  normally it’s best to say in the affirmative YES.   This is especially useful when the event will probably not occur in the same way in the future. You can’t say that you’re lying because who knows how you would have acted if you were actually there and the support your loved one will feel will make up for walking this line between truth and a lie.  If the event actually occurs at a future date and you don’t react the way you agreed you would, you could make up an excuse as simple as it was the morning not the night or the dog was barking. It may not make a whole lot of sense  but at least your initial statement was true.

Basic Judiasm- Messiah

When the Messiah  comes the whole world will know.  This individual will be such a spark of genuine holiness that there will be no doubt of whom he is.  I believe this time will come when the world recognizes Israel as the  holy land by the character and deeds  it performs.  Israel will be a beacon of hope to those that are oppressed with supporting their cause  for basic freedom and peace no matter where in the world that oppression occurs. The Messiah will play an active role in directing this holiness, where a lion will rest with a lamb , the dead will arise from the grave , the holy temple will be rebuilt, and the world will find true happiness, holiness and peace.  May the time of Messiah be upon us soon

Ashley Madison Leaks & Morale Dilemma

Ashley Madison

Generally I believe it’s wrong to cheat but there are always exceptions to the rule such as a physically abusive spouse, or a spouse that won’t grant a divorce and that’s where a site like “Ashley Madison” might serve a purpose.  I also understand that the majority of people on such a site are using it for the wrong reason but does that give us the right to reveal such secrets? Could we prevent unwanted pregnancies and the spread of sexual diseases to the innocent if this knowledge was revealed? Would revealing such secrets help the spouse that is being cheated on know the truth and finally leave such a difficult relationship or cause public pain and shame?

Recently it was revealed that “Josh Duggar” the former “19 Kids and Counting Star” and social conservative was an active participant in this website.  The hypocrisy of his words and actions as shown through this actions are painfully clear.  It is also clear that the pain this public outing brings to his entire family including his children is something that they don’t deserve.  The truth is the truth but sometimes I wonder if it is necessary for us all to know it.

Ashley Madison is a business that  promotes acts that can cause great harm to our society but still deserves some protection in a free market economy how much is what is to be determined. For those that perform these acts are adults and do it of their own free will. It is the cheaters desires that hurt the innocent not the websites information. It is a difficult wire to cross but in the end the free marketplace and freedom of speech must prevail even if it’s wrong.  Therefore I wouldn’t be launching an FBI investigation into who leaked this information but if it came across the desk I would see that those who performed this act were prosecuted to lightest form of the law

Movies that Teach

people places things poster

I think I’ve learned more from watching movies then several college classes combined and I graduated in the top of my class. The latest movie I’ve seen “People, Places, & Things” is a perfect example of an education that stays in my mind.  I probably would have never taken a class in cartoonist but as I watched “People, Places & Things” I was educated in the finer aspects in this art form.  I understand that sometimes the education we receive from movies is not necessarily the education we need. A clear example of this is shown in “Zombieland” where I learned the rules on surviving a zombie apocalypse but having this education can’t hurt except the zombies.  Seriously though, movies teach us more then we know whether it’s poetry through “The Dead Poet Society” or Ballet through the “Black Swan” and it’s an education that keeps giving as long as we keep going to the right movies.  What the educators might ignore is the impact of these type of education lessons that can stay with us a lifetime and as such and to our higher thinking.

Your emotions.

emotions

You may not own much but you own your emotions. Just like a mask you can take one emotion off and put on a new one when need be. Sometimes though that mask is very tight and it takes time, energy and awareness of the mask you’re wearing before it can be removed.  We may say everyone else would feel this way but trust me there are plenty of psycho’s and people who look at the world differently that take in events with a whole different perspective. There is a time and place for all our emotions for even anger and jealousy can give us the impulse to act when need be instead of waiting for dire consequences.  Here are a few pointers (below) to make sure you can pull off that mask of emotions instead of having someone else have to pull them off for you.

(1) BE AWARE–  It’s amazing how we don’t take the time to observe how we actually are feeling and what makes us wear a different mask.

(2)OBSERVE OTHERS- Take the time to see how those you respect deal with events around them.

(3) YOURS- Understand that you are an individual and therefore your reactions to events are different then others. If you find certain events cause you to have a positive reaction then go in that direction even if the crowd is moving in a different directions.

(4) ACT- Find a way to demonstrate your emotional response so you can be aware of where it can take you and how to control it.

(5) PRODUCTIVITY- Are your emotions leading you to a path of happiness and hope or anger and despair? If it’s the latter please consider step 6.

(6) HELP- If you feel the emotions are taking control of you rather then you taking control of them get professional help so you can be in charge again.

Deep contemplations -West Coast Truffle Fries

deep thought

After minutes and minutes of deep contemplations I’ve determined that Lay’s West Coast Truffle Fries are the winner of the flavor test.  Their flavor is easily absorbed through your body as if you are a sponge and their ruffled texture hits those flavor cells with an edge that the other chips don’t come close to.  “West Coast Truffle Fries” take my taste buds to California even in my body is still stuck in NY.  It may not be as healthy as carrot sticks but a few chips couldn’t hurt and a few more and ….  “West Coast Truffle Fries” a chip worthy of getting fat over.

I Tried

tombstone

I hope I won’t be seeing this rock (G-D willing from above) for many, many years to come but if it comes sooner rather then later I want it to read “I TRIED”.  It is impossible to accomplish all the goals that appear in your heart but it isn’t impossible to keep trying until the mind and soul you have enter a different place. Here are just a few ways that I’m trying today.

(1) MOVIES- I have several scripts in my pockets, a production team ready to begin, funds to get the ground moving and have alerted several contacts that I’m ready when they are.

(2)CRAZY BUSINESS- I’ve  worked tirelessly for over 27 years, provided them with creative solutions to problems and will continue to be there until ….

(3) FAMILY- No matter what the time or place I let them know that I’m their for them, willing to do what it takes to help them achieve success, as long as they play by my “basic rules”.

(4) IDEAS- My creative ideas and solutions are openly listed on this blog, with startup capital available for the entrepreneur ready to take a leap.

(5) CHARITY- It is my pleasure to give to charities with funds and effort that help those in need and will continue to do so as long as those resources are available.

(6) POLITICS- Creative solutions to problems are continually listed on my blog and given to those in positions  of power to make this world a better place.

(7) BLOG- Investment(s) have been made and will continue to be made to promote the ideas and values on this blog.

(8) FUN & LAUGHS- Even if my family and friends will cringe at times I will continue to try to bring a smile to those around me.

(9) FAITH- I will continue to try to lead a faithful (although not perfect) hoping that someday in the distant future I will enter the pearly gates even if might be through side door.

Batgirl- Yvonne Craig RIP

Yvonne Craig

She lived her live for 78 years and was fomented in our minds for one role “Batgirl”.  I guess it is the life of a character actor/actress where their role truly becomes their life even way after that character doesn’t appear on television or the movies.  Whether it be George Reeves who lived and finally died with that role in his head or Yvonne Craig who built other legacies there is no escaping what the world has made for you.  Yvone Craig may you RIP for your inspiring role as Batgirl and the many other roles you played in your life that the world fails to recognize.
