Popularity Crisis

being followed

We may not be Jennifer Lawrence or Bruce Springstein but in our world we might be more popular then we think and with that popularity comes responsibility.  We may be popular among office workers, in our church/Shul/Mosque, in our neighborhood and/or the most popular member of the family.  All of sudden we start to notice that others look to us for advise or imamate the actions that we commit and then the crisis can begin.

We notice that being ourselves might not be good enough after all.  Maybe we weren’t friendly enough to all our members of our group? We realize that we weren’t  more charitable or even tougher with others.  We discover that our actions are reflecting on the way the entire group is actually performing and acting towards each other.   Yet we are who we are and that’s an imperfect person how do we deal with this? This can be quite daunting challenge for any person to deal with.

I believe the solution is not black and white but a combination plan.  Our faith and values must come into place as we reflect on our actions on a daily basis and seek to improve.  We must also explain to others that look to us that we are imperfect and seek their guidance when it appears we have done something wrong.  Finally we must accept that we are who are we and although we seek perfection that is only truly in the hands of G-D.

PAST:  I’ve traveled to almost all the different sections of the United States which included trips to Nebraska,Ohio, Indianapolis, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia,  North Carolina, Kentucky,    Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey,  Pennsylvania  Nevada, California, Arizona, and Wyoming. Each of these states holds a special part in my heart and each adds a different insight into the person that I am.

PRESENT: The doctor told me I have to go back on Crestor after having an LDL of 182  with a total cholesterol of 255

FUTURE:  I will push my son to complete his work on the short and will have a meeting with attorney to help develop the legal plan for PPC.

Does anyone have an answer?

Old tough

Even Clint get rid of this one.

This is a question that has boggled my mind. A question I’m sure many thousands if not millions have spent numerous hours trying to figure out.  How do you get rid of an old broken down garbage can?

Okay for you geniuses out there answer me this. You can’t leave the old can out with the trash because the “Sanitation Engineer” will just leave it there. You can try to take to pass it off to your neighbor because even you’re nastiest neighbor will return it back to you.  How about shredding it … how about not?  The truth is old garbage can’s never die you might think you ready to get rid of them but just like Jason they will come back.  Reality can stink especially when it’s an old garbage can

Family Theatres

family theatre

I believe it’s time that there is a movie theatre geared to families. A place where families could watch movies together or could drop off their children in a safe environment so they could go shopping in peace.  This place would enable all different people to enjoy the movies and would have the following features.

1. The food would be “Kosher” so all families wouldn’t have to worry what their children wanted.

2. Locations would be in a mall or a facility close to it so all families could drop off their children while they go about their errands.

3. There would be a secure system for dropping off the young ones where no adult could enter (except those working there) without a band that identified them and their children.

4. This theatre would show first rate films and lower cost films so all families could enjoy the entertainment.

5.  Those that have their children dropped off on a regular basis would receive special discounts and added benefits.

6. After 9PM only those above eighteen years old could attend such films.

7.  Depending on the size and location other activities for children would be available.

8. Most of the movies shown would be G rated and none would be more then PG rated

PAST:  I’ve always loved playing a role in entertainment.  My first acting debut came when I was in grammar school playing Arnold Horshack in a Welcome Back Kotter Play to playing Howard Cossell in another skit and finally playing the 3rd ghost in the Christmas Carol.  This acting continued in summer camp as I played Tennille opposite the Captain (hey I was only 9 years old). I also had many other smaller acting roles in camp but I need to go under hypothesis to remember them.

My first attempt in the film industry attempt occurred as an underground campaign in at Camp Schodack.  This film was a horror movie that made Friday the 13th look like an Oscar Winner (I was just 13 years old).  For 10 years after that I focused my energy on script writing which led me to “All Screwed Up”  a full length film currently being distributed (more details on further posts).  I put together a meetup group in NYC which led to the production of several shorts which can be seen on my  youtube channel.

PRESENT: Today I produced a short that which will  G-D willing be seen at the Alamo Theatre on 1/20/14.   This weekend we enjoyed a great deal at Kumo restaurant while watching my Chargers lose as well as seeing all the teams I wanted to win lose. I also met with the possible producer of PPC.

FUTURE:  G-D willing I will be able to lower my cholesterol so that I can continue to live a healthy happy life.  I hope that my son doesn’t get charged for the lens that he accidentally damaged.

Sometimes getting what you want means you truly don’t get what you desire.

nature walk

In a world where we have over 200 television choices, can listen to any form of music in a split second, and get information in a millisecond  we’re more unsatisfied then ever before.  I remember the days when watching a movie with your family was a special Sunday event where they’re were only three major television stations and you had to actually go to a place called a library to get information. In those times you truly appreciated when that special song came on the radio and movies actually held you for months if not years.  Exploring information was truly a discovery that held your imagination for days on end.  Friendship was a one on one experience that developed over time face to face not over a keyboard.

Don’t get me wrong it’s great that we have this wonderful technology that brings the world closer to a level place but sometimes it’s good to slow down and turn it all off. Try to enjoy the simple things like going for a walk or actually visiting that building called a “library” and glance for information just because it’s there. Spend sometime with one true friend instead of trying to entertain the whole world on Facebook.  Today I’m taking that break …. at least for a few hours.
