Playing Poker

I think it’s time the Republican’s play poker with the President in a way that insures the American people will win. The President offered to lower corporate tax rates if the Republicans agreed to utilizing extra monies for “stimulus”.  I say we agree to the plan but with some small conditions (below).

(1) This plan must lower the unemployment rate by at least 1 % and create economic growth of at least 2.5% . This will evaluated by independent source (agreed upon by both sides) and must occur within 9 months of the plan being enacted. If this proposal doesn’t work within the time period noted  then the 2nd proposal (below) automatically kicks in.

(2)  PROPOSAL 2- Obama care will be completely suspended for 2 years,  tax rates must be reduced for individuals and corporate America for at least 2 years, and a serious proposal for entitlement reform (that lowers costs) must be enacted.

Traffic Sucks-A Real Solution

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Political, Solutions - 2 Comments

I don’t know about you but I’m sick of sitting in traffic. Not only is it a waste of time,  causes a great deal of pollution, makes us more dependent on foreign fuel and fuels angry feeling.  It’s time for a real solution that is based on the free market system.  Here’s the beginning to these solutions (below)

(1) All profits that a company receives in creating and running private roads and/or alternative green ways to travel are kept by that company.

(2) Government owned roads that have a failing grade (poor maintenance, poor record on traffic etc)  can be bought out by private enterprises to run for up to 5 years. They will keep all profits on tolls relating to running these roads. angry in traffic

                  Trayvon.2

What would have occurred if George Zimmerman didn’t have a gun that night? Would George Zimmerman suffered severe trauma and/or death or would Trayvon be the one with  severe injuries  Would the news have covered this as a racial incident? Would the news even cover such an incident? Finally would there even be a trial of Trayvon or George Zimmerman and would anyone express outrage over the result?

Protecting our 4th Ammendment Rights- Against unreasonable searches and seizures

In the aim of security it appears as if government is trampling on our 4th  Ammendment right against unreasonable searches and seizures. This Ammendment is one of the keys that keep us a free people.  We have seen throughout history that many totalitarean regimes  use security as an excuse to limit freedom. Yet we must realize the enemy we face today does not fight along normal military conduct but seeps through the very foundation of our freedoms. This is why we must insure that the government has the right to protect us without protecting it’s control.  Here are a few ways we can keep control.

(1) Government can’t hold records on any American Citizen without approval by the judicial branch or by that individual. The judicial branch could only approve such records if there was clear and sufficient evidence that this individual poses a threat to himself or others around him.

(2) Government must get judicial approval every 6 months to continue to keep the records on such individuals and that this approval must be based on the continual threat that these individuals pose to themselves or others.  Annually  the government must reach out to a different judicial authorities to continue to keep such records on private citizens.

(3) Government is not permitted to data search records on American Citizens that have not shown any proclivity to acts of violence against themselves or others.4th ammendment

Is this too much?

Does this violate your 4th Ammendment right (Unlawful Search and Seizure)?

Can the government search your car without a warrant when it’s parked in a private parking lot? Does it make a difference if this car is parked at an airport or a high rise building? Please click on the link above. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I believe the only way the government should be able to do this is if you have been warned that this area you are parking in is subject to inspection because of serious security risks. These locations that have these inspections would have to be approved by the court.

Am I alone?

Is it just me or are you also tired of the hearing about the Zimmerman/ Trayvon Martin trial and it’s aftermath? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a tragedy when any young person loses their life and I can’t even comprehend the pain that the Martin family is feeling, yet has the world stopped moving?  Have the innocent young people stop dying in the streets of Chicago? Has the blood stopped pouring in Syria? Did Iran decide that to forgo Nuclear Weapons? I don’t think so yet it appears that the media feels it has.

It appears that the media is using this tragedy to hype up differences between the races when it is not about race but about our legal system and the laws that govern it.  To avoid such tragedies in the future we must not look at those who use these tragedies for their own glory but to those who truly seek a way to reconcilation. We need to make sure that our youth act in a respectful way and also insure that those who carry concealed weapons are better trained mentally and physically so that we can lesson these tragic events.  We also must demand that the news media start reporting the news instead of propogandizing it,

Free Market vs Socialist = Solution A-1 Companies

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Political - No Comments

In the past there has always been a battle between those who believe that the greater good will only be pursued when government has more control of our lives vs those who belief that government shouldn’t play any role in the marketplace. We have had swings where government has taken more power and corruption grows with that power grab. We also have had times where actions in the free market have betrayed the public trust. The reason that large government solutions don’t work is because there is no competitive nature to either fix the problem and/or run a solution in an efficient way. The reason a total free marketplace doesn’t work is that greed can lead to mistreatment of the key resources in any enterprise (labor)

The solution instead is an A-1 system. The system gives incentives to those who have are most productive in society and are the closest to the people; to make the difference  that society need.   Corporate America has that talent to make society truly better and with the right incentives it will do so.    Here’s how it would work.

1) A-1  Will be for small and large companies that provide the most resources to society (volunteers, health and dental care programs for workers, retirement packages, exercise packages, charitable programs etc) . Those companies that provide these services will have the following benefits pay no corporate tax rate, special advertising promotions, Prestige, etc.

2) B-1 Will be for small and large companies that provide many resources and their efforts also will be noted. The will have many of the benefits above but will pay a small corporate tax rate. There also will be a C-1 level

The decision on what resources need to be provided for each group (below) will be determined by an equal amount of individuals from both parties and must be approved by 2/3 of the Congress.
