If you could win $ 1,000,000 or if you’re life depended on it could you give up your “catch phrase” for a 24 hour period (sleep not included). Whether it be your “yeahs”, “ok” or “what the ….”” is it possible for you to replace such words with others and still hold a conversation. Just like animals we become accustom to a certain pattern but unlike them we can change… or can we?
While most New Yorker’s are brave enough to walk some of the toughest streets in the country there are other fears that bring out the shower in them. Most of the country has lived with having their own legal firework show for years but as we regain this right in many counties in NY the fear of what could happen sends goosebumps of many NY’s legs. How many body parts would be missing after such explosions? We NY’s also have an unnecessary fear of firearms as if they had the ability to shoot on their own and don’t get me started on that extra large soda. There are some that will rebel against such bans and indoctrination/propaganda but for most the government edits will create fears that will last well past the shower scene.
After spending a few billion (here or there) the Juno spacecraft was able to probe Joey Chestnut’s stomach and brain to discover how he could eat 70 hot dogs in 1o minutes in this years Nathan’s Hot dog eating contest . Of course it also looked at other aspects of Jupiter as well. We all know it’s out of this world to be able to eat these many hot dogs in only 1o minutes without visiting a hospital or restroom and Juno’s discovery of Joey’s Chestnut extra stomach on Jupiter explained where all the hot dogs and mustard were going (see the orange strips on the planet). The Juno’s Spacecraft will be returning to earth for a full cleaning before returning on it’s journey to discover other earth mysteries such as where the movie buzz has gone.
This year will be the 1st and 1/2 time that I’ve lit my own fireworks. For there was a time many moons ago that I lit a sparkle or 2 but then the laws of NY cracked down on even their use and as a law abiding citizen (in most cases) I didn’t light up. Yet this year fireworks returns to my county and as such my fireplug is being reignited from years and years past. If for some reason tomorrow G-D forbid my blog post doesn’t exist or has a bit more mistakes then normal you’ll know it wasn’t a successful event in our household.
I implore ever Hillary Clinton supporter to watch just the first hour of the movie “13 Hours” and then ask themselves the following questions (below).
(1) If the prime responsibility of government isn’t to protect it’s citizen’s wherever they might be then what is it?
(2) Why was there no clear and present escape route (helicopters nearby, underground tunnel etc) planned in such dangerous location for our most precious assets our people?
(3) Could anyone seriously think that this coordinated sophisticated attack on our embassy was somewhat spontaneous even in actual time?
(4) Why was the U.S embassy open when most of the world knew to close their doors to the danger residing in this country and if it was so important to keep open then why weren’t the necessary boundaries/security put into effect to protect against such an attack especially on a date such as 911?
I understand Hillary supporters that in the end you might disagree with me on various policy issues but when you ask yourself these 4 questions in your heart, mind and soul can you truly still vote that Hillary Clinton deserves a promotion? PLEASE COMMENT?
I love the United States of America and want to wish my beloved country and all those that reside in it a very Happy 4th of July. Even though the basic freedoms that our brave men and woman died for are being challenged by a government out of control we have great citizen’s who I believe will answer that challenge at the ballot box and G-D willing insure that freedom continues to ring from every doorstep across this land. It is those citizens from every creed, race, & religion that have come together to protect those freedoms and build this country not government decree that have enabled us to become the great country we continue to be. Happy 4th of July, G-D willing may we the people continue to hear that bell loud and clear as freedom, peace and prosperity continue to spread throughout this nation and the world.
What happens if Loretta Lynch actually lives up to her words and agrees to go ahead with a recommendation by the FBI to indict Hillary Clinton (should it occur) ? Would Hillary Clinton continue her run for the Presidency, would a white night (Joe Biden) jump in or would the Vermaont Socialist (Bernie Sanders) make his populist return? I presume Hillary Clinton would try to stay in as long as the orange jump suit didn’t fit and even be willing to spill some beans on fellow Democrats including the President to make sure it was a bit too tight. Yet the party would find a way to force her out even if spending more time with grandchildren (before the cell) might be the excuse. Bernie Sanders would demand that he become the presumptive nominee but Joe Biden would sneak himself in as President with Elizabeth Warren as the V.P. nominee. Hillary would approve such a move and as a result would be pardoned on the last day of President Obama’s day in office. It’s a shame that this is reality not a political drama we could turn off.
It’s a thin line knowing if a loved one suffers from mental health issues or is just having a moment. For we all can express our feelings with a bit more robust then normal but how can you tell when that line has been crossed and if treatment needs to be pursued? Furthermore how you can help if such an episode occurs?
There is always a trigger that causes a loved one to react but the type of explosion that occurs and the damages it results in is one of the ways. In the case of paranoia an individual will fill that one remark, look or small incidence turns their relationship upside down from good to evil. Where the person who has been the “actor” is now the villain and anyone who even associates with this individual has a dark side as well. In their mind the one suffering can only speak about the “actor” with the harshest of terms and is unable to communicate those feelings in any logical way to them. Rationality is thrown out the window and emotions is all that is left.
HELPING THOSE THAT SUFFER
(1) Empathize with emotions- The individuals logic is off course but the feelings they have are real and understanding them helps you get them through such an incidents.
(2) DON’T ARGUE LOGIC- It is a maze that you won’t be able to escape and only cause additional frustration.
(3) New direction- Stop if you can before you lose it and start a different discussion or do a different activity.
(4) Space- Give yourself a break and make some excuse (picking up Milk, walking the dog, doing some work etc) to get out until things calm down.
(5) Speak to Actor- This individual probably doesn’t even know that they’ve hurt your loved one so reaching out to them and telling them how said individual feels can help especially if the actor knows how to perform (not defensively) when they see or speak to them.
(6) Get them help- Even if you have to say that your seeking the help and want them to go with you it’s important to get them out the front door and get the help that they need.
(7) REMEMBER-Those that are suffering don’t understand what is occurring just like someone who has Cancer doesn’t understand what’s in their body at that time. Mental health treatment is like all health treatment it just occurs in a different part of the body.
If Donald Trump picks Newt Gingrich as his Vice Presidential candidate he’ll have a candidate with plenty of experience but probably not many more votes. The ticket would not have the diversity that would help bridge the gap with woman and or minorities. It might be a ticket that showed Donald Trump wants an experienced person with bold ideas that gets things done but would that be enough to win. Newt Gingrich comes from a state that is predictable Republican so it doesn’t help the ticket in the crucial states they would need to turn to win such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa. Furthermore the ticket would appear old and not draw the excitement that a younger candidate would. In conclusion this ticket would be a 7 out of 10 maybe adding a bit more seriousness to the Republican Presidential Candidate but not much more.
