The Truth Today

prison cell

At c. 20 years old I sat alone in a prison cell accused of a despicable crime that was behind my imagination. Yet just like Joseph my day started with grand plans in which I would run for office even switching my position on a key belief (pro-life) to get there.  As the  newly elected (or appointed) President of  The Young Republican Club of NYC I had felt a new life as we had removed an individual who had brought shame to our group.  Little did I know that this removal would be the cause of such great pain in my life. While I sat looking at the prison floor thoughts of suicide entered my mind because how could I gain my life and reputation back.  Yet those thoughts quickly vanished as I recalled the story of Joseph and how he spent years in prison for a charge he didn’t commit, only to be appointed 2nd to only Pharaoh.  I instead spent only 30 hours behind these dark walls and with the help of legal counsel saw these charges dropped before even a Grand Jury was called. My rise to power may not have been as grand as Joseph but I was able to succeed in my wildest dream when my film “All Screwed Up” was produced and distributed.

In life we go through many hills that appear to high to climb and might even see rocks of despair coming toward us as those that we have trust betray us. Yet just like Joseph if we move steady ahead and trust in G-D there will be a view at the top of the mountain that will truly take our breath away.  Maybe if we didn’t hit those hills we wouldn’t have truly been able to climb to the top. Joseph might appear to be an old biblical story but it’s message rings true even today.

How Much?

HOW MUCH

Is there a number in your head that would make you say or do acts that you would never would have done?  Could you use the excuse that if I had the money then… ?  Would you trade your long term soul for a short term goal? Is a moment of embarrassment worth less then $$$$$ in your pocket?  Here are the questions that will be asked on a new television show called HOW MUCH”.   Where contestants compete on having their friends do or perform acts against their better judgment for the least amount of money and/or reward because in the end they keep the difference and can move on or move down depending on your perspective.  “How Much” explores how far will each one go to gain a financial reward and at what consequence?

crack in wall

As the walls to our national security spout new leaks we must be careful to fix them before our enemies can sneak through. The crumbling of the wall is occurring on three fronts. First of all the damaging report by the Senate on CIA interrogation  techniques has hurt morale at a government agency that’s sole mission is to protect us from foreign enemies such as terrorist.  If the individuals from the agency feel that the government truly doesn’t support their efforts they may not take the extra risk we need them to take. The continually protests and negative attitudes toward our police by the civilian and government officials has hurt morale from the street.  Many police officers I’ve spoken to have decided to do their job and nothing more because they feel threatened by these negative actions brought upon them. Finally the executive order the President signed has given the illusion that our borders are more open then ever and this could increase the likelihood of not only having those looking for a better life jumping the border but those who are looking to do us harm such as terrorist.  Here’s a few ways (below) we can rebuild this wall quickly.

(1) The President address the nation and speak about the good works of the CIA and Law Enforcement Agency and how important it is for us to support them. There might be a bad seed in a cornfield but that is just one seed.

(2) Congress passes a bill that adds more monies and security to protect the border and has a portion of those funds given directly to the states that are linked to our border.

(3) Community Policing is quickly established in areas where distrust of law enforcement officials occur.

Couples Paradise

I believe the “Cove Haven” Lakeville Pennsylvania  is truly a couple’s paradise.  It has every activity that a couple could think of and I truly mean every.  It doesn’t matter whether you’re the type of couple that likes to play on the basketball, tennis, racquetball or any other court you will find an activity that suites your fancy. If you’re only  athletic supporters their are plenty of other activities that are drawn up from the daily schedule that will fit your skill levels.  The rooms are designed for that intimacy moments that highlight any adult activities planned with private pools and hot tubes available in many rooms.  The “Cove Haven” if a couple can’t have fun here then they probably won’t have fun anywhere.

No Pink

no pink

I may be the last man standing but I am not going to wear Pink. I’ll go so far as to drink a pretty Pink drink with even the umbrella but I refuse to wear it. I understand that Pink is the knew Orange or something but I’d rather stay out of fashion.   Others might claim subconsciously that this is some deep seated problem that only therapy will cure me from but I’d rather stay sick.  I’d rather be “Bold Blue” or “Fire Engine Red” then “Shocking Pink”.  If you decide to wear Pink that’s fine with me it might even match your eyes or something but for me Pink stays in my drinks and not on my derriere (or other parts)

Bite Stop

dog attack

THIS SHOULD EXIST

Even the “best dog” can attack when it feels provoked and that can result in an injury to other dogs or even their human friends.  “Bite Stop” prevents such incidents by sending a high pitch noise that immediately sends the dog retreating from this violent action. It can also prevent a dog from other accidents that might occur.  “Bite Stop” has a level so that the intensity can increase if warranted.  Don’t put other dogs or friends at risk have “Bite Stop” and insure their safety.

CIA Interrogation … really?

cia

We spend how $4o million to investigate the CIA’s deal with the worst of the worst but still don’t properly compensate or care for our veterans that insure this scum doesn’t come into our country. Does this make any sense?  Maybe some of the techniques were a bit harsh in getting the information that our brave men and women needed to defend our country but is this really what we should be concerned about? How about finding a way to prevent violence and hopeless in our own inner city instead.   We may learn how to be nicer to terrorist but truthfully I’m a bit more concerned on how we can be nicer to our own allies such as Israel.  To make matters worse this report didn’t even attempt to get the opinion of the CIA officials who were involved in this interrogation procedure and by so doing may actually hurt the morale of those officials who everyday risk their lives behind the scene to insure our freedom and peace.

Hat Rebellion

hats

It’s time that us “Hat Lovers” demanded our rights to wear our beloved item. How many restaurants and elite institutions refuse to serve us when we wear our lovely head covering?  Why such hate toward an item that protects us from the weather conditions including the sun (Cowboy Hats), gives us our individual identity (Teams) and may even be used to express our faith in subtle way? Not only does the hat do all this but it also can prevent the spread of germs from the hair ( including hair particles) from disturbing other customers and might even help prevent the spread of disease.  Where does this hate come from and who made a hat an item that is less then worthy? If we hat lovers joined together and marched to a place that didn’t allow us to wear our favorite item, maybe even did a sit in we could change the world one hat at a time.  When the time comes I for one will join such a movement until that time I will continue to wear my hat with pride even if I’m the only one stands proudly wearing it.

They hate my group not..

hate

It’s much easier to assume that others treat you poorly or “hate you” because of the group that you belong to rather then the decisions that you’ve made.  I’m not saying that anyone should disdain for another individual for another just because of a “small poor decision” but what appears small in our book might appear very large in someone else’s book. I remember waiting a long period time after being stopped by a police officer for a small infraction and getting out of the car to ask him what was taking so long. He was less then polite with my “small decision” to get out of the car and I agreed that this decision was a big infraction in his mind and quickly returned to my car to wait and wait.  It ended up as a small ticket infraction that changed my night instead of my life.

There are of course people who will hate you because of your race, religion, customs or just because you cheer for a certain team or will even use a partially hatred of such to act in a colder way toward you when you do something wrong compared to others who don’t share this trait. Yet if we assume the better of others then we are the ones that must change and that is something we can control.  Who knows by our small acts of kindness maybe we can change those persons hearts bent on hating groups so the next time they dislike something it will only be based on action not a group.

Temporary Mezuzah

MEZUZAH

For those of the traditional Jewish faith a Mezuzah is kept on the door post of a house and rooms upon their entrance. It is usually affixed with two nails that hold it in place. It holds a small section of the holy book in it’s protected walls and is a symbolic of G-D’s protection upon our dwelling places.  Yet what happens to the wandering or traveling Jew who must stay in temporary dwellings that is where the “Temporary Mezuzah” comes in. This Mezuzah can easily attach to any door post and be easily removed upon leaving such dwellings.  With the “Temporary Mezuzah” the traveling Jew can feel at home wherever they might travel.

PLEASE NOTE I’M NOT A RABBI( ALTHOUGH I’D LOVE TO PLAY ONE IN THE MOVIES) SO CHECK WITH YOUR OWN RABBI TO MAKE SURE I’M NOT MIXING MILK AND MEAT FOR YOU.
