Taking a political stance against myself

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, funny, Political - No Comments

I realize that the political positions I’ve taken truly don’t effect my individual life but those positions might actually hurt me (financially).  When the government wastes/spends more monies it usually results in more business for my company. My customers seem happy with the President’s policies and that happiness means more business for our company. Even when taxes are increased my accountant can usually find some legal loophole to insure that I don’t pay that increase or even get additional cuts.  So why should I care who is truly elected?

It is because I consider myself part of a community that is suffering. A community that is suffering with part-time jobs instead of full-time jobs.  A community that has less monies and time to spend for their children. This community could be blossoming and growing but today it dwindles and suffers. Yet what is most confusing is that those who are suffering the most from these policy decisions can be seen as some of the biggest supporters of the policy. I guess the politicians have figured out  it’s not actually what you have or want but what they make you perceive you should have or want.    So in conclusion even if I’m the last man/woman standing I will stand up for the policies that help the community even if it might hurt me personally and they don’t see it that way. Boy I’m getting a headache just thinking about this.

Syrian Solution = Top Secret

Top Secret

The key to insuring a successful campaign in Syria is secret negotiations with the key players. In this negotiations you find out what each player needs to make sure your efforts are successful not only in the world stage, not only within a time frame but most importantly  insuring minimal amount of causalities. Here’s how the negotiations should occur (below)

(1) Russia wants a warm water port.  Agree that we will work with the rebels to insure that they have this port  as long as they work  with us.

(2) Assad wants a safe route for him and his “associates” to escape too.  Tell Russia that we will not interfere with the “escape route” they provide him and his associates.

(3)We want a Rebel group that will bring stability (see 5), peace, basic democratic goals, and  moderation in this part of the world. Fund the rebel group that supports these goals only and promise to continue that support as long as it continues to meet our goals.  The support should be military, financial and educational (Democratic rule). Understanding that we will not be creating a Jefferson Democracy overnight.

(4) We want control of the delivery system for chemical weapons. If Russia agrees to our secret negotiations we can agree on joint control of these systems.

(5) The Rebel group that we fund  must also secretly agree to maintain a Russian Warm Water Port as long as Russia works with us.

(6) The lower level associates fighting on behalf of Assad are fighting for their positions of power. They  understand the intricacies of how this society is run and therefore must be allowed to keep there positions even after a regime change.

If this negotiations are successful our battles in Syria will be quick and successful if not I fear the outcome to this ongoing conflict.

Key Number two-Freedom and Peace in the Middle East

the key

As long as one group receives all the benefits from keeping another group down then there will continue to be dictatorship and despots in the middle east. The group that has been kept in shackles in the Middle East are the same people who are primarily responsible for their growth, woman.  They have tolerated abuse not only in their families, traditions  but in  governance as a hole and they must fight back.

Woman are denied basic rights  in many Middle Eastern countries that many in the west take for granted. These may include  deny woman the right to work, vote,  drive a car, or even go to school. Not only do these woman suffer but their society as a whole but not developing the grant talents that these woman have.   They are also treated like second or third class citizens in their own home. Those in power try to claim that Islam and customs cause this to occur but the truth is that it is no more then a power grab.  Woman in these countries need to unite and demand that their basic inalienable human rights must not be denied.  Those in the west must support these woman who valiantly take such a stand. For as these woman basic human rights rise the decline of the dictator and despot will occur. These leaders will fall like a deck of cards and in return the world will be a better more peaceful place.

One Key-To freedom and peace in the Middle East

One key to establishing freedom and peace in the Middle East can be found in supporting the free enterprise system in those countries.  Businesses that seek to make a profit will need to hire the most talented in their society whether they be male, female or individuals from the majority or minority party in their country.  These individuals who might not normally associate with each other will have to work together and by so doing will learn that their past prejudices were incorrect. A friendship can develop and in so doing a feeling of empathy for others plights might help change the discriminatory practices that are occurring in the state. To enable this to occur we should support companies that enable all their employees the chance to move to the top based on only the talent they bring to the table. Eventually these enterprises will prove to society as a whole that laws  and societal practices that discriminate based on sex or majority/minority position in society are not only wrong but counterintuitive to running a successful prosperous society.

Syria’s – Obama’s Pickle- Unless…

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Political, Solutions - No Comments

President Obama is in a pickle as he tries to find a proper way to respond to Syria’s use of Chemical weapons. If he doesn’t respond the U.S. loses additional credibility with our supporters and more importantly with its adversaries.  If we do attack but it’s insufficient it will bolster President Assad because he can clearly state that he survived an attack from a super power. If on the other end the President plans a full scale attack it can be a long drawn out war which could bring others into this war against our interest including Russia, China and Iran . Therefore the President must instead follow a clear plan that solves the specific problem and not draw us into an extended war.

1) The President must address the American People with clear proof of Assad attacks, tell them why this hideous attack is unique act and that it must have a clear response

2) Any action should be clear and precise to deal with preventing further attacks. Therefore the U.S must work with its partners to find and destroy the chemical weapon stockpiles in Syria and/or the means to use these evil weapons (ex attacks on missile launchers and aircraft)

3) The U.S and its allies will support the rebels with military aid/training that only agree to basic human rights for all its people including minorities. This training will occur outside hostile areas.

4) The U.S. and its allies will work with these rebels to educate the populace on the importance of constitutional democracy and the need for clear separation of powers.

5) If these follow actions occur and nothing more then the U.S and its allies will declare victory.

Syria

No more Syria’s

The world community waits as dictators utilize brutal means to hold on to power. How many times have we read this headline and felt helpless? How can we  continually watch country after country deny basic G-D given human rights to it’s people?  It’s time the world took a stand that truly made a difference. The “Freedom Coalition” will insure that stand is taken.

The Freedom Coalition will be made up of countries that practice basic human rights, non-profit organizations, profit organizations and labor unions. Basic human rights consist of the “freedom of the press”, “freedom of speech”, the right to vote, freedom of religion, right to assemble, protection of minority views etc.  The countries that are part of this coalition must also have separation of powers to insure the rights of their citizens are continually protected. This group will be broad enough to invite those from various political perspectives but narrow enough on” basic human rights “so that most countries can join.   When a country violates basic G-D given rights of  individuals or groups the “Freedom Coalition” will go into action (see below).

(1) It will state to the world the violations that are occurring.

(2) Support will be given to the freedom loving opposition. This support will be financial, economical, educational (ex development of a constitution) clandestine, and military aid if necessary.

(3) They will demand a buffer zone to enable such individuals and groups to live in free of government abuse.

NSA National Security + Protecting the whistle blower

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy, Political, Solutions - No Comments

I believe you can have National Security without living in a police state. I believe that for this to occur there must be a mechanism to protect the whistle-blower and insure that his/her concerns are addressed.  After Benghazi,  NSA , and the IRS scandal these reforms must be enacted ASAP (see below)

(1) An office is set up for civilians and those who work with National Security to anonymously report abuses.

(2) Individuals who place a report with the office are given a number where they can tract the progress of their complaint and print copies of it. They are given a time frame when an address to the complaint must be received.

(3) This report is immediately given to those in the departments who can make the needed changes.  They must respond to the complaint in a time-frame that is dependent  on the seriousness of the report.

(4) If the individual is unsatisfied with the response of the report they notify the office which then sends the report to a congressional committee responsible for handling these issues. The congressional committee is  given a time table to response to this complaint.

(5)  If the individual is still unsatisfied with that response then the office will send this report in general (to avoid security concerns) to respected officials in the press.

(6) If the report leads to improvements in the system. The individual receives a reward for their help in improving the system (anonymously if need be) .

Freedom of Choice- Not in Nanny NJ

I believe families  should be able to make their own decisions on what issues effect their families and the treatment or lack thereof to deal with these issues.  I believe the nuclear family is the key to our survival as a country and that government should be limited in restricting the rights of parents to raise their children as they deem fit. I also believe that the government shouldn’t have their faith supersede the faith of families.  If you agree with this position then how can Governor Christie ban a therapy just because he disagrees with the position?  Therefore Governor’s Christie’s  law barring licensed therapists from trying to turn gay teenagers straight is wrong and should be overturned by the courts.
