Philosophy

Society tells us to ignore the “extremist” but I believe that might be to our own peril.  For the extremist warn us of what could occur if we continue down the path that we are going. They might appear to those as “conspiracy theories” but if we had listened to them in the past we might have stopped horrific events such as the rise of Adolf Hitler and 911.   I’m not saying we should follow every line but in between some of the rhetoric could be an underlining truth that is being ignored by others. We must discover those words and make sure those who are “less extreme” hear them and take note with their own words and actions.

Even those extremist that use hateful or discriminator language must not be ignored because we must find out where this hate comes from, in order to stop it from spreading like Cancer. We must not silence the voice even if we hate what is said but listen and challenge that voice with logic so that it dies on it’s vine. It is only when voices are forced into silence that extreme acts of hate and violence occur which hurt us all. Don’t be silent to hateful extremist but also don’t silence them.

Since the current occupant of the “White House” isn’t a big fan of the limits in the “Constitution” I wonder what would have occurred if the previous President felt the same way and some how was able to get a 3rd term? Where would our country and world be?   What do you think would have occurred. Here’s a few changes  (below) that I believe would have occurred.

(1) There would be peace in Iraq with a strong U.S. Presence never leaving the country.

(2) Mubarak would still be in charge in Egypt and if he fell there would be a more stable transition to Democracy.

(3) The U.S. Economy would have grown much faster with more innovations in the marketplace as lower taxes and regulations pushed the entrepreneurial spirit further then today.

(4) Community and local banks would be stronger as “Dodd Frank bill” so small banks could compete with the larger institutions.

(5) The “Affordable Care Act” wouldn’t have even been suggested and health care rates would probably be lower with health care generally better then it is today.

I appreciate those that are loyal to a cause or political goal but that can often lead to stupidity when they ignore the basic facts.  We can get caught up in the “Cult of Personality” or the need to be part of a certain “political culture” but sometimes we need to escape this world and look at the reality around us. For our support can cause our demise or of the deep seeded values we hold dear.  Loyalty can only go so far where it leads us to the point where the leader is the only one who wins. Yet how do we know when it’s time not to drink the “Kool Aid”. Here are a few clues (see below).

(1) Has the leader decided to play from a different playbook (ex constitution) on more then a few occasions that he/she has sworn to uphold. Has this been demonstrated by many court decisions?

(2) Do the policies that this leader has put in effect resulted in the outcome that they predicted or are they blaming others?

(3) Have those that may not share their views with been targeted and/or silenced by the leadership or are there comments and suggestions listened too and respected?

(4) Is your life and those around you actually improved in terms of greater opportunity or is just something that makes you “feel good”?

(5) If you weren’t truly part of this culture could you actually say this persons policies and leadership are truly working?

If people commit a horrendous act in the name of a group but the group leader(s) denies their involvement how can we determine the truth? It many ways it might be how we define development but there are some common threads (below) that can help us decide if they truly are culpable.

(1) Has the leadership preached hatred and violence against those they oppose?

(2)Is leadership actively involved in recruiting and training it’s members?

(3) Does that training include and “education” deal with developing skills to violently attack those they oppose?

(4) Has this group informed authorities of individuals in their group  that have snapped and are likely to commit a violent act?

(5) Has the leadership send payment to those or their families that have committed violent acts?

This is why Hamas, and Bill Ayers must be held accountable for the heinous acts individuals in their groups have committed.

NOT EXACTLY MY VISION (ABOVE) BUT IT COULD WORK.

In the future meat could be developed without the use of killing an animal with a brain.  This organism would be a mutated form of a animal (cow, chicken, duck etc) that would develop without the ability to feel pain because only the brain stem would work.  It would enable the organism to grow but function as a plant does. Would the killing of this organism like the killing of spinach be acceptable to the vegetarian or would their be another justification not to eat it? 

I hate to watch the death of innocent but those that are actually seeing it must be the one’s that pick up the sword.    We can and should support their efforts but unless they are willing to fight and die for basic freedom it’s not worth an ounce of our blood or monies to support a losing cause.  Therefore unless the  Iraq government gets that support from its people our efforts should only be to insure that this terrorist group ISIS keeps from spreading their actions to the homeland and allies.

We all know of those that risk their life’s to safeguard us. They maybe the fireman, police office or Marine that jump into danger to help us and we can’t express enough gratitude for their actions but there in another group of heroes that aren’t even known.  They may not risk their life’s to safe others but their efforts truly do save life’s.   If my Aunt had one of those heroes in her life she might have been around today.  If James Holmes had one of those heroes 12 people would have returned home after seeing a movie.

When someone is physically or mentally sick they are often unaware of the actions that their sickness can bring to themselves and/or others. It takes a brave soul to confront such an individual in an effective way to get them the proper treatment to remedy such sicknesses.  This individual might even put him/herself at financial or personal risk to insure this person gets the treatment they need. Many times these heroes must be persistent in pursuing this course at the point of losing friends and family along the way.  They usually don’t get a thank you along the way but instead must be gratified by knowing that there persistence truly changed or saved a life.
