Today many of our Synagogues, Church’s, & Mosque’s are in need of a new “Clergy” to lead their organization and “America’s Got Clergy” is just the television show that brings this to life.  From the initial audition in front of the board to the response of the layman to their sermon’s “America’s Got Clergy” will showcase what it takes to get this higher calling position.  This show will deal with the truth of who thinks their in charge and who actually is in charge. With attendance to our Church’s & Synagogues declining “America’s Got Clergy” is sure to be bring the faithful back at least to their television sets.

Over the top “The Beggar Show”?

a beggar 2

Is this television concept (below) over the top/pushing the envelope too far?

Many of us see a beggar/panhandler on the street asking us to spare some change to help them out “The Beggar Show” will take it a step farther by bringing them to your television screen. Three individuals will broadcast live why a $1000.00 dollars will change their lives as a  group of expert panelist (private detective, charity manager, small businessman etc)  try to determine if their claim is true and if it this money would make a difference.  These panelist would then give their opinions but it’s up to the television audience to determine who if any receive such funds.  The following shows will have more beggars/panhandlers asking for funds and a review of those that have received such funds.  Would this show be too controversial to go on the air?

Film Images

trainpsycho

The movie/T.V. series appears to be going no where and just as your about to turn it off in your head when  image appears that pulls it all together and leaves it’s mark.  That is the art of film-making!  It is to present these images at just the right movement before your audience has left your world but not to soon so that they won’t feel the full impact of such a view.  An entire T.V. series only needs a few of these images to insure that a viewer keeps coming back to the series and you never know which one’s will actually click with such a diverse audience yet once you have them you’ll have them feel like they are stabbed in a shower or thrown in front of a train“.

It Follows- Film Review

Amazing trailer but the movie doesn’t live up to it’s premise.  (see review)

If sound score was the only factor in a horror movie this film would receive an Oscar but scenes must be equally appealing with a storyline that has some point therefore this film gets only an okay instead.  Has some jumpy and cover eye scenes but not enough to leave a lasting impression.

Another Oscar Nominated Film-The Grand Budapest Hotel-

Posted by Bruce - in arts and entertainment, Blog, film - 2 Comments

The “Grand Budapest Hotel” is a fine film with some funny moments but I beg to differ on it’s nomination to the Oscar’s as best film of the year. The Cinematography is wonderful with some exquisite shots using unusual color schemes, that truly capture the moment. The screenplay has some very interesting characters that allow the film to move at  a rapid pace.  To conclude,  “The Grand Budapest Hotel” is a fine film but other then the cinematography there is nothing grand enough for it to be nominated as film of the year.

American Sniper has hit the mark!

What  a brilliant piece of art that brings the audience in to all aspects of war and the effects it has on family and friend. The audience cheers, cries and truly feels the emotions of what it’s like to live as a solider. This film truly deserves it’s place in the nomination of best movie of the year if not the award itself.

Boyhood = Boring

I know they spent 12 years making this film and it feels like it as you watch it. I think I aged about the same amount of time as I attempted to watch it this “dribble” . How is this even considered the best movie of the year unless you’re suffering from Insomnia? It must be the “Anti-Bush” remarks that it put it on the list or that it was so deep that it should be buried. “Boyhood” should be nominated but as the top ten boring movies of the year.

“Kosher Films”

editing

Many great films can’t be enjoyed by millions of practicing traditional  Jews and Christians because of there language, violence and sexual gratuitous scenes yet with some simple edits we truly can make these film “Kosher” and bring joy and revenue to many.  A film would have to be edited with the knowledge of the film-makers and certified by a “Rabbi” to make sure it receives the Kashrut label.  Once it does those who normally would be prohibited from seeing these film productions will flock to the theaters or rent the DVD’s to watch them (probably on their computer).  “Kosher Films” a way to generate more monies for the film-makers and bring entertainment to millions more.
