It’s one of the most creative shows of the new seasons with fairly complex characters that take you in a quite unique directions I’m just not sure this is the path I’ll be taking. I’m pulled in one art direction but another direction is pulling me away from this show. Maybe it’s just too weird or the accents make it a bit too difficult to difficult to understand as my fingers get itchy. For now my art side is winning but my fingers itch is moving toward my head. PLEASE WATCH THE SHOW AND HELP ME DECIDE WHICH SIDE I SHOULD LISTEN TOO.
** 3/4 Stars it could get to 3 or 2 1/2 depending on your opinions.
I’ve always rooted for the underdog so being part of the “We Won” hasn’t come as often as let’s say “Yankee Fans” but the moments have truly been worth their time. I guess it’s good to reflect on some of those victories especially when “we” have been going through a bit of a drought. Here are just a few in various walks of my life.
SPORTS- The top sports victory that we won at where I was part of the “we” had to be either the 1980’s U.S Olympic Team beating the Russian’s or the 1986 Met’s Winning the World Series (where I went to game 6) followed closely by Buster Douglas stunning fight with Mike Tyson.
POLITICS- Ronald Reagan’s victory led to a stunning amount of years of “we” fellow Conservatives feeling that we were back in charge. It continued till the end of George W. Bush reign.
ENTERTAINMENT- Seeing “Rocky” win best movie of the year inspired the underdog spirit in movie followed by a hit or two from the G0dfather 2. Being part of the 1980’s Concert scene every other weekend I felt as if “we” were listening and feeling the movement of the music together.

21 Pilots is an extremely talented group that is able to combine the various sounds and beats of various music genres into one song and make it work just right as demonstrated with this song.

Here’s a new song that caught my attention. It’s a live version of it so the acoustics might not be perfect but I still think you get the vibe. Enjoy…. I hope.
Either Ke$ha is telling the truth about the abuse that she suffered under Dr. Luke over a decade ago (which Justice Shirley Korneich has thrown out) and Dr Luke has denied, or she is a very unstable person. This is just the latest indictment of a music industry where young people without any needed support are thrown onto the big stage as if they were a piece of meat for the industry. Too many of these “stars” become burned out before their even 30 years old because this industry appears as abusive to the young individual as to those that have run the garment district of the 20’s. They feed them drugs, fame and fortune without providing them any tools to deal with their sudden rise. It is like taking a lobster and throwing him in a boiling pot, only a few will get out alive. It’s time that these young people are provided with the proper support they need to insure that they not only enjoy the ride up but can deal with the tumble falling down, so that they can lift themselves up again wherever they may end up.
If you add Sean Hannity & Mark Levin support together you get Donald Trump’s popularity. These so called purist on “conservative causes” have jumped shipped to the populist side instead. They will attack Senator Mark Rubio and Governor Jeb Bush or others for even a slight change from their conservative record but will ignore the continued flip flops of Donald Trump. He’s flipped so much he makes pancakes look stable. Yet they have joined the bandwagon with drum and flute in their hands. Maybe it helps their ratings or makes them feel as if they’re part of the crowd but for whatever reason it’s not based on the principals they say they cherish unless the values have flipped to a T.

Sometimes it’s too late for you too change and that is the sad case for Denise “Vanity” Matthews who’s hard partying lifestyle took a toll on her body even decades later. Denise died of Kidney failure which appears to be brought on by her wild life style which led to a crack cocaine addition. This Crack addition almost caused her death in 1994 from a renal failure but she was able to get sober and religious. This changed aloud her to live her life in peace and happiness for two decades more but in the end her previous lifestyle choice ended her life to soon. RIP Denise Matthews.
“Spotlight” is a difficult movie to review for you wonder if you give the art too much credit because the subject matter is such a serious and important story that you want it told or if you’ll be too critical because you want to feel you’re being objective. “Spotlight” is a well made movie that has a continuous flow from start to finish with fine acting and as noted a story that needs to be told, yet I’m not sure it is deserving of best movie of the year. The film could be considered an updated version of “All The President’s Men” as it showcases the valuable work an independent newspaper can do when it’s truly independent (too bad in today’s environment the investigations must always benefit the left). “Spotlight” didn’t break any new ground in artistic expression therefore I believe “Room” still holds my spot for best movie of the year. Yet if there is one story that should be noted from this film we must be objective when evil comes lurking even if it’s from our religious, political or family affiliation, justice should be for all.
*** 1/2 – Spotlight- If you’re Catholic it might have gone too far only highlighting the negative aspect of the Church and you probably could drop a star.
“Bridge Of Spies” is one of those Oscar Nominated Films that receives this accommodations not for it’s artistic achievement but because of it’s political message and the friends it has in Hollywood. Don’t get me wrong “Bridge of Spies” is a fine movie but is it truly exceptionally I beg to differ. The characters aren’t well drawn out, the action is predictable and the ending is so,so. The political message of National Security VS constitutional liberty, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg is the real reason it’s up in this category. It is worthy of Oscar nomination for it’s set designs and cinematography. “Bridge of Spies” is worthy of 2 hours of your time but only if you’ve seen these Oscar Nominated Films before “Room”, “Brooklyn”and even “The Martian”.
