Why would this wonderfully talented woman who appeared to have everything to live for take her own life?  She appeared to live the life that so many woman would have died to have and yet something drove her to take her own. It is a illness that killed her but unlike one’s that occur in the heart or kidney this one happened in her brain.  This illness was probably just as painful for her as the other deadly diseases that we easily accept.  It stayed in her head with symptoms here or there but then was triggered to attack her by outside forces such as Cigarettes to Cancer.  In Mrs. Spade’s case this one appeared to be a relationship ending.  The truth is some other trigger could have caused this reaction, as  cigarrettes aren’t the only cause for Cancer for those that have the DNA make up for such an illness.  So the only way to beat this illness as one would beat Cancer is not ignore the individual sufferring but insist on treatment throughout.  For although everything might look perfect outside inside someone could be going through hell.

IHOB International House Of Brilliance should be the new meaning of this name change.  Yes, I know the name really stands for International House Of Breakfast from Pancakes but the marketing was brilliant.  For by changing that one letter it allows this chain to expand into a whole new realm of breakfast food without losing on it’s original core pancakes.  It keeps us talking about the chain when it might feel a bit stuffy to others especially after you think about eating one too many pancakes. Instead of spending millions on advertising that only goes so far one letter will go a whole lot further through your entire breakfast.  IHOP the place I’ll go for breakfast even if it’s still just pancakes.

FOOTNOTE- I still love their Swedish Pancakes great taste without feeling that way.

The Philadelphia Eagles might have won the Superbowl but they lost the support of over 50 % of their fans.  Even fans that normally don’t support the President still endorse the office and show basic respect for the person who occupies this office. Just imagine if those who had strong disagreements with the President’s policies had the decency to agree to attend maybe they could address some of their concerns with the person who actually has the power to change things. Of course the President had to cancel the event  because sports are a team effort with different roles and even different goals that come together for a common good.  When a majority didn’t agree with this principle what did it say not just about football but about our country as a whole.   Even as we disagree can’t we come together and celebrate the good times together I guess the Philadelphia Eagles decided “NO”!

This picture (above) has nothing to do with what I’m writing about except that these deer accidentally were found in this car.  For the last accident that was on my watch was literally not on my watch but my car. My car was totally responsible yet I’m going to have to pay. My car was parked in the lot and when I returned from a delicious lunch I noticed that my door was open and nipped the car next to me.  The door was closed shut when I left but it appears that the seat belt didn’t seal it and G-D decided a bit more wind would let it open to hit the car next to it.  Even though it was a small nip it was with an expensive car and that means $$’s out the door literally.  In conclusion next time someone says to slam that door make sure you really do or it might just hit you on the way out.

I thought Guilliani was too smart of a politician and lawyer to fall for the trap George Stephananopoulos.  Yet not only did he step in it but had the President put his foot in as well and boy did it snap!  Why even discuss the hypotethical that the President could pardon himself when it shouldn’t be on the radar? It only gives ammunition to those who feel they must continually go after the President at all cost because they believe he has tyranical tendencies.  This only motivates the Mueller witch hunt to add more bones to the brew even if it isn’t cooking.  Not every question needs an answer especially when it’s way off base and only hurts those who answer it.

It might appear to be a crude question to ask after the devastation that this volcanic eruption produced but it is a question many will ask themselves is Guatemala more or less on their tourist radar after this eruption? Will they risk taking the trip to see something that they may never see in their lifetime anywhere else? Is it even wrong to be curious about such a natural disaster in the first place that has claimed so many innocent lives?  Maybe it’s too soon to ask such a question or maybe we are afraid of what our answer might just be.

It’s great to be that shiny new “thing” everyone wants to get to know but you get old way too fast. Sometimes the old classics are taken better care of and if they lasted this long you have to believe they are sorta special.  New has all the exciting features but old has kept it together while others have fallen apart.  I guess in life it’s good to have a little of both and appreciate what they offer and what is truly missing.
