There is something much more frightening now that evil history has been put in color. For in black and white it could appear to be some distant past unrecognizable by your mind of today.
Yet the impact of color makes the image closer to a reality that is hard to accept. A time when a monster had his people so full of hate that they didn’t see the evil for real and maybe only saw what they wanted to see.
It’s truly frightening in color and it makes more clear that we should “never forget”!
Here are some thoughts (below) on the incident where two African American’s were arrested at Starbucks for “unlawful trespassing” that you probably won’t hear anywhere else.
(1) REALLY- Is there nothing better to do with Philadelphia police time then arrest individuals for loitering at the worst? Couldn’t these Officers had a private conversation with said individuals and even by them a coffee to make Starbucks and the police force look good instead of silly.
(2) ORDER 1ST- When you go to a restaurant to wait for a friend order something. I know Starbucks is expensive but you’ve chosen that place as your meeting place so buy something for they are in business to make $ although this incident will cost them a whole lot more in bad publicity.
(3) SMILING- I’ve never seen an individual look so happy being arrested. Maybe because he’s thinking of the payday ahead. From paid television interviews across the networks to a nice lawsuit that will be settled by Starbucks with a whole lot of zero’s at the end.
(4) LOSS OF $$’S- Unless the manager has some footage we are not seeing of some type of harassment, he should have thought about the long term losses vs the short term coffee.
(5) STARBUCKS APOLOGY TOUR- It will becoming to an African American neighborhood near you.
Just replace this scene below with the word “Lithium” and the story can be retold today. For Lithium is the Plastics or even Gold for today’s world of investing. This metal is being used in so many of the batteries we use today whether it be in our cell phones or cars we will drive and it is in shorter supplier everyday. That is why who ever is able to pull out this metal from the earth whether it be in Europe or even Afghanistan will receive rewards well past the next remake and truly graduate to the next level of success.

Trust me I know guilt it keeps adding to my life’s unpleasures yet I never thought it would come to a straw. After reading the “Wall Street Journal” article on the supposed harm straws due to the environment especially to those in the wild kingdom do I now have to add this to my book? It’s just a straw and I didn’t ask for it I just ordered a drink and there it was. I feel guilty enough about the spilled Milk do I have to worry about the straw that came with it? One straw won’t destroy the world anyway even if it was once a day. The truth is I will cut back on my use of straws but every once in awhile I’ll have to deal with the guilt and pay for my repentance with some additional monies to an animal charity or just add it to the book.
If my thesis on Oscar nominated films is correct “A Quiet Place” will be nominated for best movie of the year in 2019. I say that even if it isn’t the best movie in the year to come because it has taken horror movies in a direction they have never gone before… “silence”. Oscar’s are all about taking the art of film-making and putting it on a different canvas especially a canvas that is still P.C. “A Quiet Place” is a fine and somewhat scary film with some scenes that jump out at you but there are also a few slow moments that probably could have been left out. It also would have added a new dimension if we understand a bit more of how this history of this tale occurred. Yet maybe that will be another reason it will be nominated for an Oscar because this film doesn’t need to.
*** – A Quiet Place- A well conceived horror film that should be scene by all those that love this genre if only to see something different.

Milos Forman is a name most people would not recognize but if they are into films that truly stand out they should. This director produced some of the most powerful films of our time from “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” “Ragtime” and “Amadeus” to “The People vs. Larry Flynt” and “Man on the Moon”. His talent didn’t come easy as his parents were killed by the former oppressive regime of Czechoslovakia at the age of 10. While others would not be able to escape this pain he used it to create powerful characters and stories that stay with us years after they have been shown. Milos Forman might not be a name that doesn’t come to one’s mind but his passing will leave a powerful legacy many generations to come. RIP Milos Foreman.
I have this incredible concept for a song that I would like to help produce yet I’m not sure whether these thoughts cross into business or art? If they cross into business then I should hold those thoughts till tomorrow for today is Shabbos and my mind should be thinking about a higher level of concentration. If it is just a creative thought that will go no further then my head then I’m sure I can think of it. Yet if there is any chance it can really be produced and be successful I’ll leave those thoughts on…
As a human being with some humanity I can never imagine owning another person and even if I was born in a family that had this “evil tradition” I’d still be a horrible slave holder. For I’m a person that has always has had empathy for those least among us and even if I was a told a slave was such a person it would not sink into my soul. I find it difficult to punish my dogs when they do (literally) bad things how could I be cruel to another human even if I was told otherwise? A simple ant is taken outside rather then stepped on inside and they don’t call me Spider man for sacrificing these creatures.
Yet today with all our knowledge and understanding 10-20 % of the people of Mauriania live in the bondage of slavery. How can people with any sense of humanity act with such indifference to their fellow homosapien. Where do they go to flush their souls away? I might not have been brought up in this culture but trust me if I did I would not only be a horrible slave owner but fight to see this evil ended in my country.
I would have been dead by now if I didn’t choose life several years ago. For at this age I realize how important it is to the body, mind and soul to make sure I have a day to rest. Work is great but let’s face it just as an automobile can’t run all the time you have to learn to change your oil. I see now how the stress of trying to achieve in the workplace constantly can make you fall straight down if you don’t put your body, mind and soul in park. This doesn’t mean the engine isn’t running for their is a whole world outside of your business cycle that needs to be explored. Just remember the world will survive your day of rest and so will you. There are people who want to see you hurt so that their “principles” can win. They root against the President’s tax cuts having a positive effect on your life and hope to demoralize people enough with the President that they become the only game in town. If it takes “fake outrage”, “scandals” or even losses in our nations image they are rooting against us. They do their best to stop the President’s nominee’s for office even if it causes our government to not work perform adequately for the people who have put them in power. I can not honestly say that in the past some didn’t reside in my Elephant party but not to the degree that this resistance has acted. I also appreciate rooting for your ideology to win but not at the point of others suffering. When it comes to election time I hope that you will vote for people who want you to win even if they philosophy loses.
FOOTNOTE- The only exception I see to this rule is if the other side wins there will be serious physical injury/death to a group of citizens born or unborn.
