I beat Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh 2

I may not have gallery celebrating my art but at least I made some $ on my art while I’m alive. It’s a tragedy that Vincent Van Gogh never knew the talent he was as he died a poverty striken artist yet G-D willing he we can now see what he’s achieved through a gate in the cloud.  While I may never reach the post-life success that this great artist has made I know today that the art I’ve produced in film and writing has reached more people while I’m alive then this wonderful artist had in his lifetime and actually sent a coin my way.  That gives me hope that when I’ve gone through the golden gates (G-D willing) my writings and art will put in some gallery as well but if not at least I’ve had more success then the great one’s while I was still here.

Brianna Rollins – A hurdles confession

Seymour Jamaica Hurdles 2 Brianna Rollins

I have a confession that I have to try and jump over in the 200 meter hurdle competition I was rooting for my Dad.  Not literally but spelled the same way for the woman from Jamaica had the name Seymour and although she was a lot prettier (sorry dad) I couldn’t resist cheering her on.  Yes I know it’s patriotic to support your own country in the competition but don’t worry she didn’t win anyway. Congratulation to Brianna Rollins for taking the Gold and thank you Seymour for giving my dad a run in the competition.

Batman Really Returns

Adam West and Burt Ward

The real Batman & Robin are returning in an animated movie.  Before you decide to put me in the Bat Cave of course I’m writing about the return of Adam West as Batman & Burt Ward as Robin who starred in the compelling and hilarious T.V series.  “Holy Smokes Batman could this really occur? Yes old chum I believe it is?”  After seeing Batman betrayed in dark images it’s good to bring back some light to this series with some silliness/laughter from the “good old T.V days”.  POW! BANG! Old shows don’t just get played in rerun’s but return as animated movies.

It’s Probably nothing… BUT

BLACKOUT

It’s probably nothing, just a coincidence, maybe I’m being a bit paranoid but 2 blackouts in 2 days within the same time period ?    Yes the blackouts occurred for a relatively short period of time and the heat conditions are known for such occurrences to occur but it appears a bit too frequent and in two nearby cities. So here’s the paranoid part how about if the terrorist are testing our grid system to see what it would take to bring the entire system down and what if the government is keeping it quiet because they don’t want to create fear or change the Presidential race outcome.   What if’s can drive you insane or might lead to some truth in between or even a movie concept.  Is it just a coincidence or should we be stocking up water and food?

Kurt Metzger & Comedy Seesaw

Posted by Bruce - in Uncategorized - No Comments

Kurt Metzger  Seesaw 2  Amy Schumer 2

Kurt Metzger’s is the latest comedian that has hit the wrong side of the comedy seesaw. A seesaw that continues to swing at different times to tell us when a comedian has “passed the line” and needs to be thrown off.  Kurt Metzger’s crime is to openly discuss the concept that people for any crime should actually be considered innocent until they are tried and convicted. What an outlandish concept to the prudish “Amy Schumer” (LOL) who has bared everything in some vile way to the public, that she had to make a public statement with words of disapproval  to Mr. Metzger’s “bad words”.

I have a novel concept that I use when listening to Amy Schumer and others that might have crossed my line if I don’t like what they say I simple listen to something else. A  matter of fact I’m mature enough to turn back on Amy Schumer or other comedians and hear a different skit or idea that they might express and even laugh at that.   If this comedy seesaw continues to swing at such rapid pace Amy Schumer and others will fall off faster and faster until all we’ll be left with is  …

Mime Oh wait his White face is offensive.

Flakka did it

Flakka Flakka 2

Flakka did it!  This is the 2nd time I’ve read a story connecting this drug with people eating other people’s faces while being naked.  I know this is a serious problem but you can’t help and laugh because it’s so bizarre.  I don’t know much about illegal drug sales but this has got to be poor marketing for such a vile substance “walk around naked and eat other’s faces”.   So why did you use “Flakka” because I ate enough fish/cookies but never tried face?  Sorry I know this serious but you got to admit it’s sorta funny as well.

Alaska Land & Cruise Review

Posted by Bruce - in Uncategorized - No Comments

Celebrity Millennium Cruise Ship Alaska 1

I just returned from a cruise and land trip to Alaska and wanted to share with you the Excellent, Good,  and Ugly parts of my journey.

EXCELLENT

  1. FOOD – The food was superb on the cruise ship as well as the land portion of my journey with one exception the Salmon Bake in Fairbanks.  I especially enjoyed almost every fish dish (Salmon bake) and breakfeast woke up my pallete.
  2. SERVICE- The service you receive on the Princess Millennium is exceptional forcing me to over-tip.
  3.  SCENARIO- If you enjoy open country Alaska is just right for you.
  4. PEOPLE- The people we met in Alaska were very friendly and warm and that can be difficult in Alaska.

GOOD

  1. EVENING ENTERTAINMENT- The entertainment was outstanding at some points but overall it was traditional cruise ship. They had fabulous dancers that put on wonderful performances yet the music should have been updated.
  2. EXCURSIONS- The two excursions that will probably stand out in my mind for as long as my mind work are the helicopter ride on a glacier and the private and personal zoo. The Canoe and Jeep tour came in a close 3rd. The other excursions were enjoyable as well except for the long trips to get where we were going ” are we there yet”?
  3. ROOM- Our cruise room was fine and featured a lovely balcony.

OKAY

  1. FIRST CLASS- Delta 1st class had it’s moments especially when drinks were served. The seats were larger but you couldn’t sleep because they didn’t go back enough.  I would save the monies and go to the bar instead.
  2. WHALE EXCURSION- It might have not been there day but my Whale friends kept themselves in the water instead of giving us an Alaskan greeting.
  3. ANIMALS- Most of the animals in Alaska had attitude and weren’t excited that we came to visit. I guess in the case of bears and wolverines that’s a good thing.

UGLY

  1.  Having too many drinks while connecting to another flight. I probably was super obnoxious or funny but it was ugly.

RIP John Mclaughlin

John Mclaughlin The Mclaughlin Group

RIP John Mclaughlin, a man who brought political discourse and discussion to a whole new level. His show “The Mclauhlin Group” may have never got the ratings of “Meet The Press” or “Fox News Sunday” but truly opened the door  to the round table of political discussion where individuals from every political stripe would have to use political intelligence to actual proof their theories.  John Mclaughlin lead this group which wouldn’t make it in today’s world where the focus is not on  discussion/debate but on personal attacks as well as “gotcha moments”.  May John Mclaughin’s legacy bring us back to the time of lively and intellectually discussion we face today.

October Surprise

Hillary Clinton

While the media has crowned Hillary Clinton could a leak from WikiLeaks cause that crown to be passed to a Trump instead? It appears that those “erased”  leaks Hillary has deleted might some how turn her smile upside down as some how they reappear on WikiLeaks. That is unless someone has a “unfortunate Clinton accident that prevents this to occur. Stay tuned for the news or the sudden slip by a subway in October.

Alaska Speech

Posted by Bruce - in Uncategorized - No Comments

John F Kennedy  Sarah Palin

When I was younger I used to believe that John F. Kennedy has an intellectual way to speak but then realized it was just a Boston accident. Recently I just discovered that the way Sarah Palin speaks might not sound that sophisticated but it’s the plain speak of many Alaskan’s.  I apologize in advance if this offends my tough Alaskan’s brother’s and sisters but let’s face it you get right to the point. In many of the small towns the road is named the “road” and the store is the “store”.  Yet if you get in a discussion about Salmon or natural wonders you’ll be lost at the  first word. .Sometimes what we conclude as ignorance is based more on what we actually see in our worlds then what others perceive in theirs.
