Political Weather

newsroom

I understand that much of the news we received is slanted by the political views of the editor but I didn’t believe the weather would come under that envelope until yesterday.  I seriously believe that the NY Media under reported  the storm we had on Sunday night because of the shellacking they received from hyping a weather storm that never lived up to their fear (to most of the area) only the week before.  This under reporting actually led to injury and death as many people who would normally not drive decided to take a chance.  It’s time that the “News Media” start reporting the facts instead of making the story. Tell the who, what, where and when clearly and then various why’s out there. This way they can’t be blamed for errors and still do there job correctly.

Worse to live

fear 2

Every horror movie ends with the ultimate penalty death to the victim but what if the “evil one” forced you to live instead.  Are there examples where a “sadistic person” would keep you alive instead of allowing you to “rest in peace”?  Would this be a twist that would draw viewers to the screen or be so horrible they would turn away? Of course we might trade our death instead of the death of a loved one or be willing to sacrifice our life if we were in continuous pain and fear but would this be to horrific to watch?    Here’s your morning challenge name an example where death would truly be the easier escape and which viewers would still be enticed to watch?

The Dark Side.

CUTE UNTIL….

Even the most gentile creatures have a dark side that can come out when you least expect it. Yesterday I experienced that side with the most docile sweet dog that you can imagine and it all started with a baby.  This young child just wanted to play with “Cinnamon”  but she definitely didn’t want to play with him. Cinnamon’s fangs came out more then once and I decided play time was over.  This is also true of people as well when an individual has been pushed to their limit they can snap just like Cinnamon. The scary thing about it is you never know when that limit has been crossed and their ready for their bite.

Best & Worst Superbowl Ads-OVER NIGHT

Superbowl

It is not whether you remember an ad for the moment but whether it lingers the next day to complete an action. Here is the top 3  Ads (below) that I believe hit the bulls eye  and ones that never made it off the launch pad and why I made such a determination

BEST

1. SNICKERS- Funny, nostalgic  and had good identification with the product. If I could eat peanuts I’d grab one today.

2. DORITOS- Sexy, Funny and got it’s point across. It’s time for  bite or two or….

3. MCDONALD’S, COCA COLA, BUDWEISER – 3 WAY TIE -Great Feel Good Ads.  The problem is the products are too distant from the feeling yet they might have a longer impact then initially gauged. If I had to pick one it would be Budweiser because animals still work.

WORST

(1)NATIONWIDE-Wrong Time & Wrong Place-They might have had good intentions but came across as the party pooper.

(2) CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE- Boring- It is the opposite image I would think  a cruise line would want to express especially one that has the name Carnival in it.

(3) GODADDY- Work & Superbowl don’t mix.  It’s like Peanut Butter and Chocolate in my stomach…. just cruel.

Better 2

Imagine discovering that you can fly or at least above who you thought you were!  “BETTER” the site will help you find that launching pad to success. For nobody truly knows who they are and their abilities until “BETTER“.  At this site you will first fill out a through questionnaire on what you assume are your attributes  as honestly as possible then you will be given a test that will review all those attributes (intelligence, creativity, looks, personality) along with an optional DNA test. These results will be compared against societal standards which will be presented to you along with ways to expand on “your talents”.  You also can receive a list of those attributes that might need a bit more work on and options to help with those as well (for an additional fee).   You’re a better person then you think “BETTER” the site will just prove it to you.

YMS = Your music story

orchestra

Stories are better told when accompanied by  a music background, that is where YMS comes in.  Wouldn’t it be great if your children, grandchildren, friends and associates could hear your story from miles away and still feel the emotions that this experience left on you?  YMS could also influence the opportunities that are out there for you by adding a new dimension to your resume by adding emphasis to the struggle and victories you’ve achieved. It’s time that your story be heard and YMS is the language for listening.

A FEW WORDS

FEW WORDS 2

Many times we feel we must argue a point with many words when only a few will due. It is not that those few words will change a persons mind but help them think differently over time.  A simple phrase or comment might pierce the hardest heart at a time long after the conversation has ended. People can lose focus when someone speaks too long and instead here only the few words of a question or point.  It is a difficult concept to grasp because initially it appears that those who speak the longest gather the most influence yet influence can be gained in that moment or over a lifetime.  Patience might be a virtue after all… especially in speech.

The Imitation Game is for real

Imitation gamen

The “Imitation Game” is for real as it brings a fascinating story with superb acting to the viewer. The story runs at a quick pace with characters that are well drawn out with flaws and strengths not scene in many other films. It also leaves the viewer with questions worthy of deeper discussions such as whether someone can still be considered a hero if they allow a few innocent individuals to die in order to save a larger group and who should make these decisions of life and death.  The problem with the film is it didn’t achieve the emotional pull of other films in the Oscar race.
