Ebola can be stopped but….

stop ebola

The truth is Ebola can be stopped in it’s tracks if we had the political will to do so. We could end the suffering and fear if we were truly were ready to make the tough decisions. Here’s how this would occur (below).

(1) Anyone seeking to travel outside the countries effected would have to be quarantined for 21 days before under careful supervision to insure that they aren’t infected.

(2) The world community would build the proper facilities to contain and treat those affected in the countries where this disease is rapidly spreading.

(3) Those treating such patients either in those countries or outside would also have to stay within the confides of the treatment period for the period of incubation of  Ebola.

(4) All items in the viscosity of those infected would be properly disposed of or sanitized to prevent such spread.

(5) The procedures above would be carefully regulated by the proper private sector and public sector employees.

Brilliant Words Never Heard

How many times have brilliant words been ignored by others because the words were spoken by someone who was political incorrect,  spoke with a different accent, from a different socially economical class or were from someone outside their cliche.  We are losing the voices that can truly make a difference because many aren’t willing to truly listen but only look. This can occur in a governmental institution, a business or even your local house of worship. Here are a few ways this can begin to change.

(1) Imagine that we don’t know the person speaking and that these are their first words spoken to you.

(2) Fully empathize with this person’s background before they speak so you can fully comprehend the thoughts behind the words.

(3) Insure that you don’t interrupt until their words are fully spoken.

(4)Ask questions relative to the points they are making instead of gotcha questions.

(5)Thank them for speaking their mind instead of hiding their thoughts and or gossiping.

Pearl in Oyster

There are so many Pearls locked in Oysters that are stuck in  shell unable to show their full beauty and talent to the world. They might be trapped because of a government assistance program that keeps their mind and body locked in when their talents are trying to shine out or be stuck in a position that never allows their true potential to see the light of day. It often appears just when their seems to be a crack the sea comes and sweeps them all away.  For a stranger rests upon that shore who can crack open that shell if they  are willing to get up from their own glory and idleness . This stranger can  show the world their true glory but will this stranger come in time to rescue them from the high tide that will take them and their talents away forever.

An interesting perspective or not?

Cain-and-Abel 2

I had a brain freeze as I read the biblical story of  Cain & Abel. For after Cain kills Abel he is sent away and marries a wife in a different town with different people but the bible only shows that his parents Adam and Eve only have Cain and Abel so where did his wife and the other people come from and why this confusion so early in the bible? Why doesn’t the bible give a clear lineage of all the peoples.

If we are to believe the bible as it is written then I believe we must assume Adam and Eve had other children during the time of Cain and Abel which aren’t named directly in the good book but why? In life we can become consumed with small items that we believe are so significant that they’ll change our whole life and the life of others but our plans may not be G-D’s plans.  For G-D knows when our name will truly be called and just like those in the good book they may happen at a time of our youth or when we appear old and gray. So we should live each day as if that will be the day our named and not dwell to much on our past glories or failures.

PAWS DON’T MATCH KEYBOARD

We all love our dogs but sometimes we need some private time for ourselves or maybe with a loved one. When those times occur wouldn’t it be great if we had a “Busy Dog”? A devise dog strong that is made up of small various levers  that allow your pet to find a special treat when they bite or scratch a certain surface.  Like the game “Simon” this game becomes a bit more difficult as the dog is able to achieve better recognition of the colors and words but not so difficult that they will get frustrated.  With “Busy Dog” your dog will truly find an activity that is rewarding to them and to you at the same time.

SHE WON’T HAVE THE POM POMS

Have you ever tried to organize an event but had difficulty getting people to attend and/or have the people that attend act like dead fish?  Well the Pusher/Cheerleader puts an end to this dilemma. Just hand them the list of individuals that you plan to have attend and they’ll use the proper persuading technique to bring them to the event on the big day. They’ll  also be the ones with the most enthusiasm guaranteed to laugh at your jokes and/or give you the standing ovation for others to follow. They’ll provide this service so you’ll have the best chance of success.  You’re great talent is ready to burst forward you just need that Pusher/Cheerleader to let the world see it.

Nocism

nose

Have you ever been judged by the nose you have? Maybe you’ve been denied a job or housing because your nose was a bit higher then the rest. A history of Nocist attacks continue to blight our proud country.  Is that right? Is that fair? Of course those Nocist will claim that you can change your nose but why should you have to change your heritage and identity to satisfy those Nocist.  How many broken noses do we have to endure. I say it’s time for those oppressed Noses to unite and say we’re not going to take it anymore!  You can not sniff us away anymore. Someday I dream of a day when a person will not be judged by the nose they have but by the character they have. When that man or woman with an extra large nose can truly rise to the highest office in the land.

Piles of stuff

piles 2

IT’S TOO LATE THEY DON’T ACCEPT THE WHITE FLAG

Piles make me exhausted before I even start.  I usually take them one by one but when I initially look at the mess I become overwhelmed with fear of them eating from all different angles.  Not exactly but at least taking part of my brain and never getting it back. It’s amazing though because as the day goes on the piles appear to dissipate only to return the next day waiting to eat what’s left of my brain.

Uncomprehendable

Kool Aid 2

I’ve been a Met Fan so I understand illogical believing that your team will win even when logic dictates they won’t but when the game is over I accept reality. Therefore I accept and respect that loyalty given to the current occupant in the White House but I believe its’ time to put away the rah, rah flags and deal with reality.  We might still personally love our team but realize that their needs to be a change whether in policy, performance or leadership if we are truly to win as a country. I do not seek this blog as a way to argue about past Presidency but move together as one people and say that we demand better from our elected leaders.  Here are a few errors that I hope we all can agree on (below) because if the President here’s it from some of his friends maybe change will actually occur for the benefit of our nation.

(1) Inability to tell the truth-Please see link (below) that should bother Democrats & Republican’s alike.

http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/12/18/pinocchio-obamas-top-20-presidential-lies-89096

(2) Unconstitutional Actions- Please see link below that all Presidents are sworn to uphold

http://www.forbes.com/sites/realspin/2013/12/23/president-obamas-top-10-constitutional-violations-of-2013/

(3) Poor Goverance- Whether it be the way the IRS  targeting fellow citizens, the poor, protection of our own Embassy,  Poor dispensing of the “stimulus package” or the vile treatment of our Veterans in the VA Hospital we should demand better.

(4) Foreign  Policy missteps- from our poor treatment of our allies like England, Germany and Israel to allowing our red lines to be crossed and crossed again we need a President who leads our country from the front.

(5) Economic Recovery that truly only helps the top 1% while a record amount of individuals are on Disability or welfare while the rest of us suffer with stagnant wages and underemployment. It’s time to put together policies that grow the economy for the benefit of all that want to work.

Change the world

change world

I SMALL DOT CAN GO A LONG WAY.

I recently had a discussion with a loved one who said they weren’t looking to change the world and it dawned on me that is precisely what I want to do.  I realize that I’m not an emperor (or though I’d try out for that role) but look to change the world in anyway that I can. Whether it be praying for the sick and desolate, giving monies to a charity that truly helps or helping in some way in the political process, I want to have some impact on changing this world for the better. It doesn’t even have to start on a global or national basis but can begin in my own neighborhood. Maybe I’ll inspire someone to create a new business that will improve many lives or maybe a simple hug when someone feels down and out. I hope that my little impact will truly change the world step by step brick by brick.
