If you are going to fall it’s best to stumble rather then go straight down. Yes you might get a few scrapes along the path but it’s not just one big crash. For it’s easier to get back up on that saddle when you only have a scrape or two rather then a break here or there. In life we often lose our balance therefore knowing how to fall will tell you how fast you can truly get back up and ride again.
Is it more difficult to write and compose a song that has incredible instrumental range then to formulate a basic song that has to be just right to gains one attention? Both can be brilliant in their own paths for the energy it takes to develop a song such as Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold ( further below) appears to take the wind out of you , yet the depth and beauty of “The House That Built me by Miranda Lambert (below) takes songwriter to a whole new level. Even though it might initially appear to be more simplistic to write Miranda Lambert song there is no room for error when less colors are on the page. To conclude it’s not necessarily what we initially hear that might determine what is truly brilliant but what is left behind in our minds and even our souls that might leave us wondering “wow”!

I just saw an interview with people from Houston that have lost their house due to Hurricane Harvey and were amazed at the strength of these people. These people weren’t weeping but actually had a sense of humor through this incredible traumatic event. I understand it was just a few people that were interviewed but you could tell by the spirit that this is spreading throughout Texas. In the end I guess it’s the spirit of Texas that we should note for if they could get through this devastation with such spirit shouldn’t we be a bit stronger as well?
I thought the Boston Bomber’s terrorist was just a fluke but after the killings in Spain I realized that this is a sick trend in the terrorist culture. Where other cultures will do there best to insulate family members from the harm they might cause terrorist appear more then willing to make it a family murder machine. It is a bizarre culture that not only seeks to destroy the innocent but will use their own family members as ammunition in the explosion. Just another reason this vile form of existence must be eliminated from the earth for good!
Could President Trump’s line concerning the Charolette protesters help split the line between those that are clear racist and those who could be driven in that direction? Just think if for some reason there was even one person in that rally and or the many that sympathized with one of their causes “not to tear down history” then having the President call them all haters would have left them hating even more. They might even believe that the only way to protect this right is join with those that hate other basic rights making such an evil movement grow. The Trump line allows those that sympathize with keeping history separate from those that want to bring evil history back. The President clearly states how he is disgusted with hate and violence from all sides. Who knows if this is what the President was thinking but if it helps stop separate political thoughts from spreading into violence and hate then his words are more brilliant then I initially thought.
For us truly defeat the harmful effects of prejudice we must understand our personal need/desire to keep it alive. Here are some of the ways (below) why prejudice appears difficult to conquer especially in one’s mind and how we might make it less bold in one’s thoughts.
(1) SAFETY- Our prejudice appears to protect against those that might due us harm. If instead we learn to spot out the behavioral characteristics of individuals from all walks of life we might lesson such impact on groups.
(2) SUPERIORITY- Groups want to prove their group is better then others. We need to have an all encompassing history that tells the successes and honest failures of our groups.
(3 FEAR – Unlike safety this is a fear of discussion with people from different walks of life because of conflicts it will bring externally which leads to feelings internally instead. Ground rules for any discussion must occur before words are spoken such as no personal attacks and of course no violence between the parties.
(4) COMFORT ZONE- It’s easier to stay in one’s comfort zone then explore the world around you for real. Let’s decide to grab a cup of coffee/tea with someone who might not fit our “normal groups” and find that there is comfort in all different settings.
Should more African American’s adopt the Confederate Flag as their own? To some this might seem absurd for didn’t it represent the states that enslaved their ancestors? Yet for others the flag represents a totally different point to “rebel” and not follow the powers that be. By taking that symbol and insuring it has the later representation of being a “rebel” we destroy the symbol of those that want to use it for hate. This is similar to the stance many African American’s have taken with the “N” word which I still refrain from using. They have taken control of this previously “hateful” word and modified so they are in control of it’s connotation. Maybe we all should try to do the same with other symbols of hate that were previously used against or race, religion, creed sex because once we empower them to our side we might just gain a new sense of power as well.
Mr. President let me give you some advise that my father gave me which I’ve passed on to my children “sticks and stones may break my bones but words I can ignore”. In other words there will always be haters out there that will try to get you revved up so it’s best to ignore them. For if someone calls you a piece of lettuce and you don’t feel green or crispy why should you be listening to it. If you know what they say is untrue then it’s not worthy of your time and your emotions it will only take you off the important work you need to accomplish. These bullies are only looking for a confrontation with you and if you ignore them they’ll probably go away or deal with a shrinking crowd. Yet if what the “haters” say has some truth to it then deal with those points that are true even if it might be tough to change. Last night you let little George get the best of you and now he’s going to be king of the late night all because you had to respond, is that what you really wanted to do? That is unless my following blog piece is correct…..?
FOOTNOTE- This might kill my chance for any position in the White House but the truth is worth it.
Last night I had an experience that was sorta interesting but I wonder if it should also be a case of concern? It felt for a moment as if someone had stuck two fingers in my ears and that it caused an earthquake within my body. Although I didn’t shake I did feel a bit dizzy if not disoriented. My body had no liquor or other substance that could cause such a reaction and if it was a one time event I could actually say it was sorta fun. Yet if it happens again I guess a visit to the doctor might be in order.
