MLB Baseball Playoffs- Reserved Runs

MLB PLAYOFFS

Wouldn’t it make baseball more exciting if during the playoffs a team could take the extra runs they scored in one of their previous playoff games and add it to one of the games they were losing just to allow it to become a tie. For example the Met’s beat the Dodgers 13-7 in game 3 of the playoffs they could use the extra 6 runs to allow the following game which they lost 3-1 to become a tie (yes they would lose 3 runs) or instead hold onto those runs for tonight’s game so if they were losing they could add it that game. This way the extra runs scored in a previous game could actually mean something and at the same time not allow one bad game decide a series.  Just a thought from a confident Met fan that would like to a bit more confident in tonight’ s game.

C.C. Sabathia- Treatment

CC Sabathia

As a life long Met Fan who despises the dreaded Yankees I still feel great empathy to the difficult path that C C Sabathia has the courage to go through.  For my human cap supersedes any loyalty to team and I can only imagine the pain that Mr. Sabathia had to go through to admit that he had this illness, especially during this time of the playoffs when the pressure can only be mounting.  Addiction doesn’t take time off but must be battled on a daily basis and it takes a brave soul to be able to admit their weakness in front of the world. May his brave words/action in public light give others the motivation to get the treatment they need for their sickness so they and their families can see the best in them. Let us pray that G-D gives him the power to overcome this illness and that his talents will shine again shortly, except when he plays against the Mets.

Saints Vs Dallas- No time to sleep

Saints Vs Cowboys

This weekend watching the NFL was more unhealthy then eating two Big Mac’s and Fries especially if you were a Dolphin & Cowboy fan. First they get you up extra early to watch the London Bowl of the Jets Vs Dolphins at 9:30 AM and with all the preparations for the NFL fanatic it’s probably 7:30 AM. Then they make sure you’re extra exhausted watching the Saints beat the Cowboy’s 27-20 in overtime probably ending way after Cinderella’s shoe has changed and your attitude as a Cowboy’s fan has done the same. I’m sure the nightmares that followed the Cowboys loss insured that sleep was another loser in the Cowboys fan’s head.  There should be a warning before the night games “WARNING – NFL games at night can cause sleep deprecation especially if your team loses.   I intern decided my health was more important and therefore only saw pieces of both games with both my teams winning.

Ben Roethlisberger- Knee Injury-Hurts many

ben roethlisberger knee injury

Ben Roethlisberger knee injury during yesterday’s game against the St Louis Rams left many others in pain.  The pain of knowing that your team will not have the great leadership that Mr. Roethlisberger brings to the game, the pain of knowing your fantasy football team is missing a key player and the pain of watching a great athlete hurt for at least 4-6 weeks was something that many witnessed in real time. While he is actually feeling the physical pain that must kill those who are his fans witness the emotional pain of losing his talents for several weeks. Imagine if in our own life’s our injuries were treated as if we were  Mr. Roethlisberger, those pains would lesson as we felt the kinship of many  and our recovery to our field would be quickened. G-D willing Mr. Roethlisberger will have a speedy recovery as do those that names aren’t as familiar.

NY Jets vs Indianapolis Colts- can you say J-E-T-S – Jets, Jets, Jets

NY Jets Vs Indianapolis Colts

To be honest in recent years I have become a fair weather fan of the NY Jets for the way they have treated some of their players (Pennington, Teebow) but this year it appears the weather looks very sunny.  It appears that the Jets truly have a team I can cheer for with a more cohesion then in years, led by an awesome quarterback who can throw a missile or a book , Mr. Fitzpatrick. Mr. Fitzpatrick and the rest of Jets team showed what they can do as the dominated the Indianapolis Colt in a 20-7 rout.  The times are changing back again and the letters are slipping out of my mouth as in years past – J-E-T-S let’s go Jets.

Yankees Vs Mets- Bad Decisions

Yankees Vs Mets sad met

At least I got I good night sleep for as soon the coach pulled out Matt Harvey I knew my shut eye was on my way.  I know I’m being a Monday Morning Bat but the decisions by both coaches is what allowed both teams to win one of their games. When coaches pull out Pitcher’s too early or have them stay too long then the end can be sensed before the next pitch is made. In the case of the last nights game the Met’s had  Harvey pitching a great game going into the bottom of the 5th as the Met’s had a man on 2nd. They allowed Harvey to hit but not pitch in the next inning. Which made absolutely no sense if he was going to be pulled from the game in the 6th inning then why not put a pitch hitter to take his place in this inning? If Matt Harvey wasn’t going to make it through the game then why not make him a mid reliever and see if he could finish the game instead of put in a mid reliever who lost the game?  I have to many complaints about the series but as I head to Yankee town and their glee I guess I’ll have to express it there as I pay for a lunch or 2.

Giants Dallas – Monday Morning Linebacker

Giants Dallas

I know I’m being a Monday Morning Linebacker but how could the Giants Let Dallas win with less then 90 seconds on the clock? The Giants defense had to know that all they had to do was to stop the long pass and this game would have been on the win column for “Big Blue”, so how did all  the coaching expertise let this fall apart in less then 2 minutes? Did anyone ever hear of rushing the quarterback? I’m sorry but I may not be a brain surgeon or an NFL coach but this was one I think I could have even won.

NY GIANTS & NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS- Yawn but

new york giants vs New England Patriots

I refuse to watch “Preseason Football” because as Hillary Clinton says “what difference does it make” but one game last night did impact my football schedule. The Giants might have played the Patriots in which who cared played each other but the Jet’s played the Eagles and that means Mr. Teebow shined again.  Which means after a disgraceful exit from the NFL it appears Tim Teebow is back ready to do some a** kicking and just in time to get his name back.   This year it appears I’ll be wearing Green again but the one with a living bird not just a mechanical one.

Indy Racing & Justin Wilson

Justin Wilson

Justin Wilson’s death at Indy race in the Pocono’s is a tragedy that shouldn’t have occurred. It’s said by many that it’s best to die doing something you love and Mr. Wilson loved car racing but this was too strange.  Pieces of debris just hitting his head as his car passed by is something that I believe could be avoided or if not should be. Maybe there needs to be a new type of helmet or a way for the car to deal with impact better all I know is Mr. Wilson should have been with us today.  G-D has his reason’s for taking some when we never expect it I just hope we learn from Justin’s death so that we can convince G-D to make alternate plans. RIP Justin Wilson.
