Another Storm or Giving In

storm again
It is not usually the large storm, the surge of water, or bullet that usually kills us (literally and figuratively) but the constant flow that breaks us down. Many of us will become exhausted after many a snow storm that we don’t have the energy to pull ourselves out of bed. People have literally gone insane from the constant dripping of a sink. Great dreamers have taken ordinary jobs after too many doors have been slammed on their face. We have even witnessed loved ones give up after suffering from a debilitating disease that takes a bit out of them after each treatment.
We need something or someplace that gives us the ability to stand strong not just for the big battles in life but the small ones that eat away at our soul. A Marine is taught in boot camp how to train for such experiences but how can the rest of us gain these abilities. I hope that one way we can achieve this mental and physical abilities will be through PPC (scene on my Business Ideas) it will be a place where we not only will have to learn to deal with the elements but truly our own inner struggles. Whether you’re invited to join me on this venture or not please find your own “PPC” because life can ebb away at anyone’s greatness.

I can’t be your hero but I still try.

THIS WAS MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT FLYING

I’ve learned that although there are times that I can perform a heroic act it’s impossible for me to be hero because many things are beyond my control.   This revelation has enabled me to realize that I don’t have to be feel so guilty when I can’t solve a problem as long as I’ve tried my best.  It might be simple for others but to me I would continually beat myself over the head  (not literally) when I felt I let someone down. Then I realized that I don’t control the trucks that bring the supplies that the manufacturer promised would be on time. I can’t control how others act and G-D knows I can’t control the weather or traffic conditions.

The truth is no matter how hard you try some will expect you to fly over mountains to get what they want even though  they know you  don’t have wings.  These are the people you can never truly satisfy so it’s best to tell them the truth and work harder with the customers that are more realistic.  So although I can’t be a hero G-D willing  I still will try to perform heroic acts to help those with realistic goals.

Come out of the closet then what?

SORRY NO PRICES

It seems like so many “celebrities” or would be celebrities are coming out of the closet because they want some type of price. The truth is I believe most people don’t care about your sexual preference as long as your a decent person and do your job.  Your sexual desires are a personal decision with you, your partner and most importantly your creator.  If you’re comfortable with those positions then why broadcast them every minute, instead let us discover the full content of who you are instead of the way you make your bed.

Most people that are heterosexual don’t go out and say that they are proud members of the “Missionary Position” or  other forms of sexual content. It’s enough already stop throwing it in our face everyday.  People might disagree with your sexual desires but they also might disagree with the church you attend or even the times you go to church. It’s a big country and everyone has the right to their own religious and moral values so let’s stop trying to force people to accept values that goes against their faith. Let’s just respect people for who they are and give prices to those who accomplish greatness no matter their race, creed, sexual position, and/or religion.

Don’t try until….

desire

Have you ever tried to “kick the habit” or at least give yourself a break from a “common practice”?  Once we’re in a pattern of feeding our desires it becomes more and more difficult to withdraw from them especially during the initial phase. We can fill those desires with other activities but deep inside those desires boil up like a pot of water.  That is why I believe you shouldn’t get involved in an activity that you can’t regulate it’s impact on your life.  Whatever activity you get involved should also be based on the risks that not this activity brings to you but the impact to your loved ones.  What void in your life is this desire trying to fill and is there a more productive way to fill it?  It’s important to enjoy life but not have that life just full of enjoyments that need more and more everyday.  WHAT’S YOUR OPINION

Winter Olympics gender neutral

olympics

Why is there separate men and woman skiing or for that matter cross country skiing events? It appears that the only sport in the winter Olympics that should be separated by sex is hockey because of the physical contact of the participants which would probably offend many nations.  I don’t believe a man is necessarily faster or stronger in the other sports and therefore see no reason why I woman couldn’t compete in those endeavors? Am I missing something (hey that’s below the belt)?  Seriously though we should at least enable woman to try out for the “Men’s teams” and if they have a score that is equal to the men then they should be on the team. If Pot was legal?

POT

Recently I was asked if pot was legal and in the edible form (I hate smoke)  would I digest such a product? It’s an interesting question because the main reason I never used pot in the first place was that it is illegal. The illegality of such as substance insures that it might be imported in unsanitary conditions and that the profits for this profit might go to pay for items like bullets that kill the innocent bystander.  Here are a few reasons I believe that I might still refrain from using pot if it were legal.

(1) It stays in your system longer then alcohol and I’m afraid it my impair my abilities for too long a period.

(2) I might say I’ll try it once but I’m scared that after a period of time I’d be tempted to just try it again and again…

(3) Having fun is just one aspect of my life and I don’t want it to interfere with other aspects of my life like work, family, faith and exercise.

(4) It is said to have side effects like over eating and becoming more paranoid to aspects that I don’t want to add to my life.

(5) It doesn’t look that appetizing. If I’m afraid to eat liver because of the way it looks then do I really want to eat grass?

(6) I make enough of a fool of myself (ask my daughter) in my normal state do I really want to add to this appearance?

(7) Once the initial excitement of Pot wares off I might be tempted to try a harder substance to get that high I got from Pot.

Cholesterol a contrarian view.

CHOLES

I don’t have a medical license and haven’t even practiced medicine on T.V but believe do to  logic that there might be individuals who’s high Cholesterol levels might actually be a good thing for their overall health.  What happens if someone does everything according to the book by eating the “right foods”, exercising on a regular basis, reducing their stress levels (to a normal degree) but still has high LDL Cholesterol level.  Is it possible that this level is right for such an individual? Could it be that if we reduce this level in this individual by drugs that we will hurt this individual in other areas of their body such as dietary conditions or the immune response?

I don’t believe this is the case where the levels are way off the chart but might be the case for those individuals who are on the borderline.  Each individuals chemistry is a bit different therefore I believe each persons body might work better in different conditions then another would. I know I could be wrong not only because I have no medical degree but because I have such difficulty spelling Cholesterol as a whole, so please SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ESPECIALLY IF YOU CAN SPELL THIS WORD AND/OR HAVE A MEDICAL DEGREE.

Annoyances… really?

flip coin

It was your typical annoying day as I drove down a road full of potholes and traffic which led me to a smile. I had to deal with the mystery of finding a parking spot in a crowded mall but somehow a smile was seeping through.  The complaints from family and friends were trying to outshine the happiness that I suddenly felt in more heart.

You might think I was going insane but instead I just flipped the coin.  The other side told me how grateful I was to be able to deal with these problems because I could drive. Not only did I have the ability to drive but had all the parts needed to perform this task in a country that gave me the freedom not to mention loving (most of the time) family and friends that were there to complain to me.  I guess  once in awhile it’s good to be able to flip that coin and see that even the problems we encounter can be a blessing in disguise.

Should this be a sport?

Figure Skating

I know they are incredibly talented and I can’t imagine the hours they put into their performance but should figure skating be considered a sport. Figure skaters are judged by their performance like a dancer. not on their actual abilities. Most other sports do have judges that make decisions on if an athlete broke a rule not if they have performed well.   I also believe that if the common viewer can’t tell the difference between why someone wins and someone loses without commentary then this should be an artistic pursuit rather then a sport. This is why I believe that talented dancers are wonderful artists and can compete in artistic competitions but shouldn’t compete in athletic pursuits.  Of course if others enjoy it and consider it a sport then so be it. Therefore I will not mount any political campaign against figure skating I’ll probably just turn the channel to NASCAR. WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE AND WHY?

There are so many people in life that go through life without commenting on what they see and/or absorb.  They can see the “finest movie” and eat at the “worst restaurant” but will keep their thoughts inside. It will take pliers to get their true thoughts on a subject and then it’s usually “it was okay”.  Many of these individuals are afraid to give their opinions because of negative past experiences, lack the confidence to state their thoughts, and/or afraid of starting a conflict. I believe some of the greatest opinions can come from such individuals because some of the greatest treasures are deeply hidden.  We must hear such precious voices by listening deeper, not passing judgment and facilitating conversation because you never where the brilliance will come from.
