I know they are incredibly talented and I can’t imagine the hours they put into their performance but should figure skating be considered a sport. Figure skaters are judged by their performance like a dancer. not on their actual abilities. Most other sports do have judges that make decisions on if an athlete broke a rule not if they have performed well. I also believe that if the common viewer can’t tell the difference between why someone wins and someone loses without commentary then this should be an artistic pursuit rather then a sport. This is why I believe that talented dancers are wonderful artists and can compete in artistic competitions but shouldn’t compete in athletic pursuits. Of course if others enjoy it and consider it a sport then so be it. Therefore I will not mount any political campaign against figure skating I’ll probably just turn the channel to NASCAR.
