Philosophy

When people mature sometimes the parts of their bodies and mind get even more mature and you hear a lot of “Er’s” and “Oh’s”. I believe just like a good wine as you get older you can get better and feel more “Ah’s” in life. The challenge is to make sure your body and mind agree with you. Please note I’ve seen people in their 20’s developing Er’s while those in the 80’s are still full of Ah’s. What makes the difference? Here are a few ways you can insure you make the right noises.

(1) Exercise regularly- Don’t get into cycles where you go to the gym every other day for a month and don’t go for the next 2 to 3 months be consistent instead.

(2) Be creative- Write, Draw, Read just make sure you keep using that creative muscle.

(3) Stay Active even when your pillow is calling you. Push yourself to keep an active lifestyle not just in work but in leisure as well.

(4) Find solutions not people or problems to blame.

(5) Smile, laugh, and love. Simple and straight forward but it works.

Writing is one of my profound statements you can make in your life. It enables you to truly express how you feel directly or indirectly in way no other communications can.  One’s writing might be seen only by the person who sits in front of a screen or millions across many screens, papers and pads.  The words you express might impact someone today, tomorrow or maybe years after you passed on.  The truth is those words can have an impact on someone’s life even though they don’t know it.

I’ve started my work with Joseph Bechor as I help to revise a script. His initial impact might be to utilize my work for extra timber or post it in on his bulletin board. Only time will tell but I believe that no matter what his initial reaction will be the impact will last a bit longer and stronger then he initially expected. Just like I hope the pieces I write on this blog do for many a reader. Keep writing and keep imagining the impact those words might bring to the world whether that world start with one or many your words will make a difference.

When an artistic endeavor is pursued whether it be a film venture, painting or other project two sides must constantly battle.  The artistic side wants to make the project perfect and therefore will truly never be satisfied while the business side wants to get it done and into the marketplace as quickly as possible. That is why it’s important to set strict timetables, dates that are optimally and dates that you have to reach or “move on”. This way both sides can be satisfied and your project will have the best chance to make it.  It’s also important to stick to dates because technology and styles change over time and if you keep shooting for perfection it might be for a past generation. No sign can completely win you just have to find a good compromise between the two.

The word extreme is often used to silence your opponent because once the labeled is careful placed on it’s hard to remove.  A person should only be called an “Extremist” if the following conditions (below) exist otherwise those that use it are the ones who should have it placed on them.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

(1) Those that believe in violence against people who express an idea that they disagree with.

(2) Individuals who believe in breaking a felony law to get what they want.

(3) Those that believe other ideas must be silenced.

(4) Individuals who suggest acting in a hateful way to those they disagree with.

There are times in our life when we feel we are standing alone against the world yet how do we know if that stand is right or whether it’s time to give in?  Below is a list of criteria to help you decide if it does. If you prove to yourself that your stand is correct remember that you are not alone in between those clouds of darkness G-D appears and will lead through this lonely path to the truth where others will be waiting along the shore.

(1) Does our stand add up or is it just based on an emotional need or desire?

(2) If it doesn’t add up in “today’s cultural” does it add up based on your spiritual values or ideals?

(3) If your stand is based on an emotional need or desire can it be expressed in a less divisive way that still enables you to express your individuality?

We all have been concerned with our children and peer pressure but how about family pressure? Most times family pressure can lead us do the right thing but sometimes that pressure can lead us down the wrong path as well.  Don’t get me wrong I don’t think too many cousins or parents will lead you down a life of crime (yet the Mafia is a family business) but there more subtle ways there pressure can hurt an individual.

Family Pressure can stop someone in a track they should be on or put them on a track to unhappiness.  Families have a tendency to play it safe and that can result in discouraging an individual from taking the needed risk to truly make their mark.  In today’s society they can also lead an individual from the values and faith that they are trying to reach as these families follow the values of the  Cryus’s instead of the Olsteen’s or Stengel’s.  That is why an individual must be able to resist pressure from friends and even family when it leads them down a path away from success and the truth.  A strong core values can help them in this resistance.

It’s one of my favorite organs that helps me truly deal with reality and when it’s not active I truly lose sight of what is important. Some might say this organ is unrealistic that it doesn’t even exist but they aren’t using it properly  See with this organ I can see solutions to problems that others don’t even know exist and then formulate a plan to bring them into this world.  My creative organ enables to express my thoughts in a story so that others might see a vision that might have been otherwise left in the clouds . Most importantly it allows me to express my love for my faith, family and friends in a unique way that may live on further then any act that  “normally people” do.

Organ = a part of an organism that is typically self-contained and has a specific vital function.

When a business promises you that if you buy their product it will save you money it better because if it doesn’t you deserve to get your money back.  If that business still won’t live up to it’s expectation then it’s take them to court to see that justice is served.  Yet when government screws up whether it be through the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare which only raised premiums or our local roads that were supposed to be fixed years ago and continue to damage our vehicle; we ignore  the fight.  It’s time the American people take a Class Action Suit against their government (local and national)  when they fail as they would do with a private business. Maybe when our government officials lose a few dollars and some power then they’ll become a bit less comfortable wasting our monies. What do you think?
