Philosophy

How someone deals with their rise from weakness to strength is indeed a measure of the character within. If an individual comes from poverty do they flaunt their wealth when riches come there way or do they try to uplift those that are still falling? There is no reason not to enjoy the wealth you’ve earned as long as that enjoyment is not meant to belittle others.  Does a person who suffered from mental abuse become the abuser or do they utilize that power to reach out to other victims? These might appear to be easy questions but if you’re the individual who has come into strength a certain degree of arrogance or revenge can seep through like wine being spilled into a carpet.. Impulses can build in a person based on their difficult background which can be extremely difficult to fight and without a strong moral compass,based on a believe on a divine being guiding you along the way, it’s easy to get lost.

As I watched the CMA awards last night I realized that the liberal agenda has finally seeped through our entire culture.   This agenda seeped through the country world with   a happy little song that won song of the year “Follow Your Heart” by Kacey Musgrave. A song that tells the listener to follow their heart not their soul when looking for life’s enjoyments wherever they might lead and clearly points that arrow to acts of homosexuality among other liberal references. This campaign is brilliant because it has seeped through every form of music and entertainment even to the sports we watch.   Initially it was very direct and in your face as shown in many Broadway shows but then the message came through with little references on T.V. and musical performances with just enough a message to leave a slight imprint but not enough to turn off the record or televison show. It’s time an alternate pro-family, pro 2nd amendment, pro-life message, pro business conservative message learns to seep through as well. Here are some of the steps that can be taken.

(1) Support artists that come out of the armoire and state their conservative views in any  activity even if you disagree with their other views (for example Madonna has stated pro-gun & pro-life views)

(2) Collectively purchase (or support) a music studio/film studio that produces various music with different messages including some that might even have a conservative view.

(3) Open doors to different people that share many of your views but don’t fit the mold of what “we’re supposed to look like”.

It’s extremely important to  enable those who have suffered economic ruin an avenue out through bankruptcy but today many of those with means use the bankruptcy laws to defraud the less fortunate. Therefore we must insure that greater responsibility is put on those that seek bankruptcy protection. This could occur by having those who seek this protection having to pay their creditor a small amount but over a longer period of time or by services this debtor can perform to the creditor for free or at a nominal cost. It also can be a combination of the two remedies. This way we will insure that those who seek bankruptcy protection truly need it and give better protection to the creditor as a whole.

We should be grateful to those that have risked their lives trying to help those suffering with Ebola but we also have to protect the general public from the spread of this disease  that’s why their should be an “Ebola Hotel”. This hotel would be on an Island where those who either went to help those suffering or from countries with an Ebola epidemic would stay for the full 21 quarantine period. It might seem a bit more expensive then just quarantining individuals before or after they leave the countries infected but if you consider the cost of constant monitoring and/or hospitalization the cost is truly in the pennies. It will also give those individuals from Ebola infected countries  another reason to be more honest on the forms they fill out and therefore secure the public at large. The luxury hotel would have all the amenities you would expect from such a facility plus a full quarantined medial area for those who might come down with the Ebola illness. Let’s protect the public and reward the Good Samaritan.

If we were able to determine at birth by someone’s DNA or other modern methods their propensity to commit future criminal activities would it be better to treat them then or let them develop naturally? Most of us would probably suggest minor treatment but what if the treatment required medicine, drastic treatment (electric shock) or even surgery (lobotomy) where would we stand on this issue? What if this would stop this individual from becoming a violent criminal or child molester would we then agree to such treatment in advance? Could we not only be stopping that potential criminal mind but also the mind of individuals such Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King who might have sadistic thoughts but only add those to their artistic pieces. I believe that the solution must lie in between where light treatment and monitoring occurring  without hurting the ability of the creative mind to develop and insuring we all have free will to determine our futures.

We all have gone through experiences that could lead to a lawsuit if we chose to take that course but is that always the best remedy? When a product or individual negligence results in a personal injury to you or a loved one you have the right to be compensated (especially if their are long term damages) but wouldn’t it be better if we not only were compensated for that pain but reduced the likelihood that this pain was suffered by others, in the future?  I believe that should be the prime reason to start such actions. We must take personal responsibility for common sense mistakes like slipping on ice during a winter storm, or burning a tongue while drinking coffee but for those injuries that were truly incurred do to negligence and that have a high probability to hurt others in the future we must seek a legal remedy that changes this course.

The truth is Ebola can be stopped in it’s tracks if we had the political will to do so. We could end the suffering and fear if we were truly were ready to make the tough decisions. Here’s how this would occur (below).

(1) Anyone seeking to travel outside the countries effected would have to be quarantined for 21 days before under careful supervision to insure that they aren’t infected.

(2) The world community would build the proper facilities to contain and treat those affected in the countries where this disease is rapidly spreading.

(3) Those treating such patients either in those countries or outside would also have to stay within the confides of the treatment period for the period of incubation of  Ebola.

(4) All items in the viscosity of those infected would be properly disposed of or sanitized to prevent such spread.

(5) The procedures above would be carefully regulated by the proper private sector and public sector employees.
