Are you really ready for some football?

I usually look forward to football season and the escape it brings to my life but I’m not sure this year?  I understand they’ll be some great hits and misses but is that truly how I want to spend 3 hours of my Sundays? Is it so important for me to watch the latest greatest advertisement or could I utilize that time more efficiently? What about the effect the game(s) will have on my relationship with others? … Come to think about a few hours of brain freeze won’t kill anyone (I hope). Bring on the game !

seatle seahawks

Top 1o reasons you should root for the Hawks in the Superbowl

(1) History- I remember watching Jim Zorn put together exciting new plays that revolutionized the game.

(2) Derrick Coleman- A man who was able to conquer so many odds that were against him to make his dreams come true.

(3) Colors- The Seahawks have a better colors then the Bronco’s.

(4) Animals- Hawks kick butt while Bronco’s run away.

(5) Monies- I bet on the Seahawks (legally in Vegas) and if they win I’ll give the first person I see a kiss (unless they’re really ugly)

(6) Underdog- It’s always fun to see a team win when they’re not supposed to.

(7) Tim Teebow- He should still be quarterback of  Denver but he was traded away like a Bronco.

(8) Richard Sherman- Yes I know he was a bit absurd but it was refreshing to hear something different then the usual victory speech.

(9) Russell Wilson- A young man with strong values and great talent.

(10) Coffee- Seatle is home to Starbucks and who doesn’t love a little  Java in the morning like a  Carmel Flan Frappuccino (whatever that is)  I also  heard if the Seahawks win they’ll give us coffee for a dollar  ( Sure When Broncos Fly).

More manly then me.

green bay vs san francisico

I can’t imagine my mother watching me playing in this game not only because I lack any of their talent but because their wearing short sleeve shirts. Hello it’s 5 degrees and that’s without the wind chill! I had to get a hot chocolate just looking at them.  These are men, real men sorry for those that find this sexist but proof me wrong by wearing bikini’s in NY tomorrow.

Sorry my mind has been taken over.

chargers vs bengals

I’m sorry but I’m glued to the T.V. but it’s not my fault it’s the NFL.  I’m a proud NFL playoff addict and am not giving up the habit. In between watching the game I do the wash, write this blog and occasional go to the bathroom eating is prohibited unless you count beer.  Go Chargers ! Go!!

The Home Superbowl

superbowl 2014-1Superbowl 2

I’m not going to the “Superbowl”!  I understand that I don’t have tickets but even I did have tickets (at less then $250) I still wouldn’t go.  It’s more comfortable to watch it in my house with the big screen and surround sound effect (well maybe $300). Who needs to sit out in the cold when you can enjoy the game with some friends (ok $350) in a comfortable house. I’m just not going (for under $400)…. I could take out a 2nd mortgage.

Cowboys vs Eagles-Wow!!!

Cowboys Vs Eagles

I’m glad I only got 4 hours or so of sleep because this one of the most dramatic games of the season. It was a roller coaster of a ride for fans where the action didn’t stop.  It was assumed that the Cowboys would get beaten badly since their star quarterback Tony Romo couldn’t play but Kile Orton came in and played the game of a lifetime. Unfortunately for Dallas fans it was a lifetime that ended a minute or so to short to short with an interception pass to Lesean Mcoy.

One has to wonder if someone in the Dallas organization has a problem with the “Man Upstairs” because the last 4 seasons the Cowboys have ended with one game short of making the playoffs.  To make matters worse it’s been the key last game.  I suggest the team and it’s ownership take a field trip visit to a Church, Shul and Mosque during the off season. Tough loss for Dallas but a terrific game for true fans of the sport.
