L’Shana Tova- Explained

La Shana Tova

L’Shana Tova means “[have a] good year. The Jewish New Year is celebrated during the holiday known as Rosh Hashana which starts on the night of Wednesday September 4th and traditional continues till Friday September 6th (although in Israel and in less traditional sects it is only celebrated for one day). In between the time between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur people of the Jewish faith ask G-D to be forgiven of their sins so that they can be written in the book of life. I believe forgiveness will be granted for those who not only ask G-D, but also ask for forgiveness for those that they have wronged and commit to try to become a better person.

Therefore I would like to apologize to anybody that I have personally hurt either directly or indirect and ask that they accept my apology. Please note in the future that I will take due diligence to try to avoid those mistakes in the future. I also forgive those who asked for forgiveness in word or deed and plead to G-D to accept their repetence. L’Shana Tova to you.

Everyday your 1st day

Imagine if we treated everyday like your first day how different the world would be. Remember your first day at work how excited you were and how much extra effort you put to insure your c0-workers and employer respected you. The first day at school is that day when you can prove to the world that you had what it takes to succeed. The excitement you felt at your  first ball game when you heard them scream ” beer here” (probably to young to consume) and the roar of the crowd. That first special date when you were at your top of your game to get that first special kiss. The first day a politician is elected to office and feels that they have a mission not for themselves but for a cause above them.

Yet life and its cynicism, monotony, and frustrations can lead us to wanting this day to be our last day at the school, date, and or job. I say let’s bring that first day spirit back by adding something new and old to that experience. Old to remember how good it can be and new to have the excitement that new experience bring. Happy 1st day.

A Special Friend

Imagine a friend who only asks for the basics in life and in return gives you all that they have.  A friend who is their when you get up and go to sleep. This friend stays with you through good times and bad, always appearing to listen to not only your words but your thoughts and feelings. A friendship that is truly unconditional and a friendship based on only the need for companship.

Now imagine that friend living way passed expectations then suddenly life takes a turn for the worse.  Imagine now that the decision you will make might end that friendship forever or imagine instead that the friendship you made will not only last in your heart and soul but might even be spread to the heaven’s above.  Where a little boy or girl who has left this world way to soon now has a special friend.

Finding good friends

I often hear friends, family and associates remark that it is so hard to find good caring people yet many of these individuals have been blind to the places right around the corner. It is like these individuals are  searching with a blindfold on.

Imagine a place where people get together to try to learn how to improve themselves, help others, share common good times and bad times. Imagine a place where that friendship crosses many political divides to truly care for each other. This place exists and wants you to play a role in it on a regular place. The place is your local church, Shul,Synagogue or Mosque.  A place where good people try to become better with the help of G-D above.  I can’t guarantee that everyone you meet in these institutions will be perfect but at least they will ask to be forgiven.

Exorcist

Those that take on evil must expect that evil will take them on as well. Yet those that don’t fight will be held responsible by a higher authority.

Traditional Marriage Vs Gay Marriage solution SOLUTION = Na’sui

nuclear family

When I was a young man the actually word gay meant happy but because times change so did the connotation of this word. Now the word marriage is changing and we who feel strongly about the traditional meaning of this word must accept what is occurring and find a solution that works.  We also must understand that the commitment that this word has stood for has declined as the traditional values based on this word have disintegrated faster then ever (ex Brittany Spears, President Clinton etc)

I believe this can only occur if we adopt an old word as our new word for a committed lovingly union between a man and a woman. This word is “Na’sui” it is a Hebrew word for this union so it’s history goes back hundreds if not thousands of years. This word will be protected not only because of it’s historic value but because it will be a legal protected term, as well as a term that requires certain parameters to be accepted (see below)

(1) The man and woman must make a commitment by clergy or those trained in performing this function.

(2) The man and woman must be educated about the commitment this relationship entails.

Society should give special benefits to these relationship because they are the building blocks of society.  Most individuals in society are heterosexual and therefore are most likely the ones that will produce children. A committed relationship between these individuals from different sexes has been demonstrated throughout history to be the most successful way to raise children, lesson poverty and misery.
