Christie Brinkley is known as one of the most beautiful woman for the ages (at least my ages) but today what I heard spoken from her mouth was just as beautiful or at least close to it.  For when she was going through a public, ugly divorce she was able to separate from the pain caused to her and her family by leaving it behind.  When everything was erupting around her she and her children escaped west for a few weeks and turned off all the distraction. They in turn found a deeper meaning to their lives then the media would have allowed if they trapped themselves in.  In basically her own words (I heard it during the Howard Stern show) she said if you don’t hear it then it doesn’t exist.  During our own difficult periods in our life may we follow such wise advise and escape with our loved ones to a better place (at least for the time being) because if we don’t hear the garbage maybe it will be thrown in the trash where it belongs.  Billy Joel you really messed up. 

Amadeo Modigliani “Reclining Nude” fetched  $170 Million at the Christie’s Auction but what did this model and his other models get in return? I’m sure many of these models  felt that they were being painted by the “brilliant artist” and that their image would last a lifetime but if they knew $170 million dollars I’m sure they would have asked for a few more dollars as well.  They might have believed their image would be seen by a few in the art community but not by the millions that have seen it now.  May this be a lesson to us all if you are going to appear naked in public make sure you have a good lawyer and agent behind you.

Spectre has spectacular cinematography, costume design and movie magic with action scenes that compete with any of today’s “action movies. The problem is there are times when this film can drag and the characters development is lacking. The ending also was a bit flatter then we’ve seen in previous bond movies. I gave it an extra 1/2 star because the credits were amazing.

I know some will believe that this is a devious attack to draw attention to my blog and they are exactly right.  Yet those who truly have their minds in the clouds would have know better by the term Qo.  I have no such tickets but have vital information for those Star War fans (below) so maybe I’m not so devious.

The tickets though will be available right after the new trailer which will appear during Monday night football and there will be an insane Star Wars Marathon Event on 12/17/2015 followed by the release of  The First Force Awakens at some “special theaters”. Now you can go back to work and living in your real world.

It appears that Taylor Swift has had to turn her back on another relationship after Calvin Harris was seen at a Thai Massage Parlor.  Does Calvin Harris understand what he’s given up? Let me explain the beautiful, talented, kind and wealthy Taylor Smith for a Thai Massage. Hello earth to Harris’s Brain … if your back hurt you could have just got a regular massage and if Taylor couldn’t  satisfy that other desire then maybe you should be seeing a different type of doctor. To be honest we never know what goes on behind closed doors, for this could just be a publicity stunt to make sure their still in the public spotlight but this appears to be to stupid not to be real. We all understand how difficult it is to keep a single relationship going strong when you’re a big star and many are willing to throw themselves at you whenever or wherever you want but why seek it at a massage parlor which I’m sure gives more then massages. Maybe in the end Harris wanted to have a song about him and he can be sure Taylor will deliver with him as the punch line.

I’ve pretty much missed the “Amy Schumer” Hollywood entrance so I decided to get a taste on SNL and it was sorta bland.  I’m not sure if it was “her fault” or the writers of the show but it left with me an impression that nothing really funny happened here.  Of course there were some tasteless jokes but they were timid because at this point that’s what we expect.  Maybe they tried to hard or the skits were way too long either way sleep or the Met game (they were losing) was a better option. Maybe I’ll check out Amy’s other entrances (Trainwreck, Inside Amy Schumer) because I walked through this door and ran to the next door of sleep instead.

“Black Mass” gives the audience insight into the criminal mind as few movies do.  Johnny Depp demonstrates through his portrayal of Whitey Bulgar that to be a successful criminal  you must be ruthless in covering up any chance of leaks even if it takes away all your humanity.  The criminal also must not openly flaunt his wealth for that can cause more of a problem to his enterprise then the violence that he/she may commit.  “Black Mass” is an excellent movie that allows the viewer to understand this conflict in a coherent bases.  It is well written with cinematographer and set design that is appropriate for the action on the screen.

*** 1/2 – There were some slow scenes that were a bit too long otherwise I’d add a 1/2 star more.

Where did this “Randy Quaid” (above) come from? How many steps did he fall from the ladder before he hit this floor?  Where was his family, friends and peers that could have saved him or was he bent on his own destruction?  When an “ordinary person” falls we might have a greater understanding because they have not been up the hill of a celebrity life yet mental illness doesn’t discriminate from where you are and if not treated brings everyone to that same floor.  It’s time that we took a new look on how we can take care of those that are suffering even if they may not realize that this is occurring whether they be on Rodeo Drive or Main Street mental health shouldn’t be ignored.
