Here’s a movie that I planned to hate because it didn’t portray the greatest political period in my light, the 80’s, with the image I was living under but it was still great. American Made was so action packed with a tight script that you had to love this film even if you were watching a different movie most of your life.  Furthermore Tom Cruise’s performance made you enjoy his character and root for him even if you’re not sure he’s on the right side.  I still love Ronald Reagan and the 80’s but also loved American Made … boy do I feel confused.

FOOTNOTE-   I might not believe this was a fully accurate portrayal of the actual events but it was a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

One thing I believe society has realized is that it isn’t good for a person to feel lonely for too long a period of time. We also know there isn’t enough professional people around to help those who have such feelings but we know there are plenty of 4 legged friends who would be there to listen to anyone’s pain. Dogs can help others feel as is there is a way off their emotional island where the water is calm and peaceful. They can help supplement the work of a professional when they can’t be there.  Maybe it’s time we put a wagging tail and a few licks into the lives of those that feel alone.

If my wife’s sugar monitor didn’t go off at 5:20AM I would not have got up to look for my phone.  Which led me to the kitchen where my holy candle was at it’s last flicker. I then lit another candle just at the moment the other appeared to be going out. Who knows if the light was able to add another puzzle piece to someone’s life here or in a different place right after it started flickering.

The Israel Police believe they have enough evidence to arrest the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but I wonder if under the current conditions they would also be arresting the state as whole?  For even if Benjamin Netanyahu is guilty of these petty crimes the incredible work that he has done for the country should basically exonerate him as a patriot who has fought continuously to keep the country safe and prosperous. Yet even if  an arrest was called for now is that time with an immanent threat from Iranian proxies in Syria and elsewhere the country’s leader needs to focus on the country’s security not his now.  The Israel’s should worry more about imprisoning their own people with this threat then their leadership.

I want to stand and applaud all those who what appeared to be small gestures made a big dent in my life. In many ways they stopped the rushing water from falling over crashing  rocks and let it instead to a calm peaceful stream.  Here are some of those gestures (below) that I stand and applaud today.

(1)  WAIT STAFF- Those individuals in the service industry that are not just professional but human as they show a sense of caring every step of the way.

(2) BIG HELLO- The greeter who appreciates everyone’s entrance in the room.

(3) SIT DOWN COMEDIAN- These individuals never received the accolades for their talent in making me laugh.

(4) DREAMERS-  Individuals who open up a whole new world to me when mine might appear not rebellious enough. 

(5) SMILERS-   Sometimes all you need is an expression and your day turns right side up.

(6) TOUCH- Yes, even in today’s time we all need that friendly touch of empathy and love without any other emotions attached.

(7) DEER-  Thank you for appearing and taking an extra look my way. Your independence and strength to survive all conditions with beauty inspires me in ways you’ll never know.

FOOTNOTE–   I forget to mention all the other creatures of the night and day that suddenly take my breath away and bring it to a happier place.  Of course formatted on the top of that list are my four legged friends who stay with me with day and night.

Lucas Warren and Gerber have opened up a new world to the advertising market and I think that is just wonderful.  Lucas Warren is a friendly warm one child who happens to have Down Syndrome. Thank you Gerber for being brave and smart enough to open a whole new world of opportunity and openness for parents and their children of special needs.  May G-D bless all our children no matter where their starting place is.
