Let’s face it without the great T.V angles whether with camera or heart strings watching the NYC marathon would be as exciting as watching a painting job. It’s exciting when you first open the can and great to see the final product but in between it looks all the same. Don’t get me wrong those running have incredible stamina and strength that is beyond any running shoe’s I’ve warned it’s just not the most stimulating sporting event in any town.  Congratulations to all the runners who experience this great feat of endurance and those in the media that some how keep many interested in people running for a long, long time.

I woke up on the wrong side of the oven this morning as my taste buds were the one’s to suffer. The eggs that I usually make come out as as if Bobby Flay is cooking tasted today more as if Chef Boyardee made an appearance instead and he was drunk the night before. My innovative coffee tasted as if I added mud to the recipe.  Luckily my restaurant hasn’t opened and only I and my beloved (I’m not sure after this meal) had to suffer. G-D willing this won’t be my last meal or it would point signs to a much hotter future.

It’s amazing over-time how those who had an unpleasant appearance can appear beautiful over time and I’m not speaking about the make-over’s (above).  Just getting to know the beauty of the person within seeps through over time.  Let’s face it their complexion hasn’t changed but you have the ability to look behind that and see what others are blind too.  Humor, honesty and kindness can be more attractive to our hearts and change their appearance better then any make over could.

The beauty of capitalism when it is strong and competitive is talent as well as hard work truly rise to the top. For businesses who will base their decision on other motives will be eaten up by their competitors. While government’s motivating force might appear to be the same as the private sector the way that it gets there is quite different. Business must sell or service a community that wants them government must create avenues for those with power to want to keep them.   Government’s growth is not necessarily based on it’s successful performance because profits don’t count but keeping those in power and their underlings happy.  The more their underlings profit in the public sector growth the more the government will continue to get bigger and bigger with efficiency and productivity least among their concerns. Therefore talent in the public sector might not right to the top but be forged on us based on deals and debt.  In this election cycle think about these two charts as you cast your ballot.

Most of the time I dread sitting in traffic but sometimes it’s AWESOME! It allows me to hear the last part of an interview,  listen to the final song of a countdown, experience the beauty of a sunrise/sunset ,or even just think.   Moments run by so quickly that sometimes traffic forces them to slow it all down so I can truly think, see, hear and even feel the actual moment before it’s gone forever.  Most of the traffic makes me want to explode with road rage but when it’s the right time and place traffic is truly what I just might need and maybe you as well.

Maybe it’s my type A personality but I enjoy putting my mind in different places at the same time. I dabble in one experience for just so long and then want to switch to a different experience before it’s too late.  It is true that I have become more of an expert in certain areas but that’s probably more out of necessity then desire. For life is too short not to taste at least a bit of all the flavors and colors that are out there.  Of course some colors are too dark or light for me to truly enjoy but there are so many colors in between and I’ve only started looking at “Green”.  I’ll still have Green on my mind tomorrow as Yellow starts to pop in as well do you dare to join me or are your hands full.
