NY Times page 28   Wednesday June 21st- After a nail biter that came down to the wire (recounts and legal challenges continue)  it appears that Karen Handel has just beaten Jon Ossoff 52-48 in this heavily Georgia Republican District. All Republican’s must be deeply concerned with how close this race was as they enter the next congressional contest. This race was so close even after Mr. Ossoff’s poorly run campaign and you have to wonder whether the Republican Party will stand with President Trumps agenda after such a close election.  More News to follow … maybe.

When human lives become statistics to a brutal regime sometimes the death of one can truly bring humanity back. Anne Frank was such an individual who brought the horror of the Nazi death camps to millions who were shutting their ears/eyes to the holocaust which was occurring within their world and let us hope that Otto Warmbier brings such an awakening to the world community today. Let not his senseless death go in vain as thousand if not millions before have.  This vile regime must be taught a lesson that the world has woken up and will no longer accept their continued brutality without severe and long lasting consequences.

While young men might think they have all the strength there is one area the senior’s kick ass in. For while the young one’s can only flirt so long before their lower half starts to take greater control the senior’s have at least an hour before their willpower is broken. That is correct senior men are stronger then their younger counterparts when it comes with this temptation and therefore have the ability to play this game a whole lot longer without even giving up a sweat.  They can or don’t have to go into the game depending on whether there is a glass of water around and that makes them stronger in areas where few have counted before.

You’ve said your goodbye’s but now your friend/partner has kept you waiting and waiting do you have to say your goodbye’s again? According to my legal consultant it’s not necessary but maybe this isn’t a legal questions but one of etiquette. For how much time has to lapse before your initial goodbye gets swept under the rug. Luckily your Hebrew brothers and sisters can provide you a solution “Shalom” which is Hello, Goodbye and peace. So if you’ve said Shalom when you thought you were leaving it can be hello again or just plain peace and when you leave you can say that Shalom changed to goodbye.  This also works if someone doesn’t speak Hebrew because they’ll have to figure out what the hell you said anyway.

Whenever India & Pakistan name comes up in the same sentence G-D willing picture CCCC will be the result not AAA.  The hostility these nations have had with each other from the very conception has resulted in untold bloodshed instead of cheer. Sports is a safe and fun way to root for one’s country and no matter who wins this game no bodies will remain on the floor. So whoever wins today’s Cricket match let’s all pray that it brings smiles ,cheers and  continue a peaceful rivalry to those watching and their leaders for many, many years to come.

Happy Father’s Day to all those who helped fill the void. In today’s world not everyone has that birth father to wrap their arms around or to laugh with and a special person miraculously is able to fill that spot.  They may never get a card or present during this special day but their gift to such a child will never be forgotten.  So Happy Father’s Day to those without the title but with the love that truly made a difference in a child’s life.

It’s all in the percent, for we all have traded something for $$$. For some it’s a business deal they should have closed before it started for other’s it’s their very soul. Many don’t sleep at night for the relationship their in costs them happiness but saves them and their families. We are willing to tolerate behaviors we would find annoying or even repulsive because their is a paycheck at the end.  We all make such trades in life whether consciously or unconsciously it is only the % that we are willing to live with that makes the difference.  In the end does giving up A = a better life for B as well as C,D and will those monies help us find the key to the gate above or leave us burnt instead?

I would not be me if my father was not in the picture. The truth is I wouldn’t even exist but let’s say immaculate conception occurred in this generation I still wouldn’t be walking with the same feet. For my father has shaped the type of person I am and continues to help mold this hard mix.  Here are just a few ingredients he’s added to my life.

(1) LOYALTY- My father has demonstrated over and over again loyalty to family and friends when others would have walked or even run away.

(2) GENEROSITY- He is not afraid to open his wallet or heart to help those in need.

(3) BUSINESS SKILLS 1000- Although he never had the chance to graduate college the skills he’s shared with me are above those taught at Wharton even if I sometimes skip class.

(4) STRENGTH- “Through it all” are not some words that are said but are shown through the actions and life he has endured.

(5) LOVE- My father may not use the word as handily as others but actions truly speak louder then words.

Is Bill Cosby’s mistrial the right decision? Going into the case it appeared that the defense would have no evidence to prove Bill Cosby’s was innocent but come to think of it all they truly had to do was prove that he’s not guilty. With no witnesses to collaborate the testimony of the accuser it was another” he said she said” case. The prosecutor might have brought evidence to show that Bill Cosby had the means to commit the crime but did they demonstrate a clear motive? In the end Bill Cosby might not be innocent but he also might not be guilty and without any way to tilt the scales maybe a mistrial is the correct verdict after all.

Is the merger of Amazon & Whole Foods starting to spell the M word? If this pattern continues Amazon will be forced to break up into Amaz and On?  They don’t yet control a market but control where many of these markets can sell. To the point that many brick and mortar stores have prime residence in Amazon space. It is become more difficult for mom and pop as well as mom’s great competitor to compete against this spot. We all love Amazon for now but what happens if they have such control of the products we see that many are hidden from our view.  Or that competition loses the means to compete against this giant. It is something worth watching for Amazon has bought “Whole Foods” but do we really want them to control the whole business picture as well?
