Last Card

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

You might want me to continue to play but all that is left in my deck is Joker’s and that’s not the game G-D has me in. It’s time for me to go home even as you pull me to stay for my deck has been dealt and there isn’t another one on this table .  Just hold onto those Aces we had together for as long as they stay within you I will always be here even if my soul longs for a different home. You may want me to continue to play but Joker’s are all I have left in this hand and G-D’s deck is a full house where I must go to play.

Confessions of a NASCAR Jew

Confessions of a NASCAR Jew

I have a confession to make — I love NASCAR! I thought I drove this track alone, and as a rebel, that’s fine and dandy with me. NASCAR is ingrained in my bones as the speed, sound, and thunder brings my mind into focus while these incredibly talented drivers take their vehicles and bodies to top speeds. These cars are built from the ground up and are pure racing beasts.

Attending a NASCAR race is a sensory experience you’ve got to try. You’ll see bright colors, hear the growling sounds of the engines and the awesome fans, smell the hot tang of brake dust and rubber, and feel the sun burning your skin on a smoking hot day. There is nothing in the world like attending a NASCAR race in person.

My love started with the Indianapolis 500; I wouldn’t miss this race even as I watched it alone figuratively and in reality. Then, somehow, I was introduced to NASCAR, and my track has never been the same. It’s a sport that most in my (Jewish) tribe have not accepted in their lifestyles, so I sought fervent fans from other groups to fill the void.

Yet last night an individual spotted the #18 (Kyle Busch for those of you not in the know) hat on my head, and I was inspired! Could there be more Jewish NASCAR fans out there than I thought?

We bonded as if we were two track mates that spent a lifetime together, even though it was only minutes. We were brought together by the love of a sport that was not part of the “Jewtopia” world but was solidly a part of our world.

I know there are others out there from my tribe who hide this passion behind a closed door and T.V., and I aim to bring them out of their closet to be a proud Jewish NASCAR fan. Don’t worry; it doesn’t matter if you’re a good, bad, or indifferent Jew – you can still love NASCAR!

So, dare to show your rebel Jewish colors. Don’t let “the mob” tell you what sport to watch, join our “mob” instead. You’ll find others in our tribe, and we’ll build our new community together!

Losing A Twin

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

Don’t tell me you understand!  How can you identical twins are not meant to be apart. It’s not fair it’s not right!  Our connections go back to the real beginning then how can we have different endings? Why am I’m left here alone while she is the better place. We shared everything together from our first hair-cut to the boyfriends that never knew and now she is gone and deep down inside I am as well. Who truly knows me now like my identical twin did?   I’m existing here but barely unable to eat and wanting to sleep all the time I just want to go home with her.

Yet the light of loved one’s from her side as well as mine have started igniting a different fire. I know that she only wanted the best for others even when she wrong and doesn’t that mean her identical side?  It’s time I scrape off the layers of pain and live here for that is what she truly wants from where she is flying high.  G-D knows I will try but please note this journey is hard and I need more love and understanding then I truly know just to move again.

Bill De’Blasio VS Sean Hannity- BATTLE OF 2020

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

The battle lines were drawn but in the end you as the viewer came out liking the one you opposed just for entering the ring.  They didn’t throw any punches but came out swinging on all the major issues from Abortion to the Wall few major topics were left off screen. Avoidance might have been the key to Mayor De’Blasio’s defense but the truth is it allowed him to avoid a knock out by Sean. Two opponents from very different camps came together in being like-able in ways I never saw coming and the viewer was entered from the beginning to the last almost punch/hug.

Banned Celery

Celery has been banned because it has been found to be the common string.  The one component that all Mass Shooters have in common in the dietary fibers.  After banning guns President Warren has decided this must be the next step. Any person who buys a piece of celery must be registered and proof that it is necessary for their diet.  People also will be checked at the TSA to see if celery is in their diet.  “It’s time we put an end to these shootings and I’ll find something I can pin it on”, said President Warren.

FOOTNOTE- G-D forbid this becomes our new reality.

I’m offering YOU a free  work out.  A matter of fact if you do a really great job I’ll even pay you a dollar or two. Yet before you get all excited and join my gym let me tell you what I saw today at my gym which is not free.  A gentleman carried a 5 gal jar up and downstairs. The truth is I have plenty of jugs this man or you could carry for free and get this wonderful workout as well.  You might want to bench press but how about you move some of my clothes and furniture around instead. It’s a wonderful opportunity to stay in shape, save $ and help clean up my house.  Who knew working out could work out for me and my house as well.

Natural Talent

Training helps but let’s face it some just are born with it.  There are individuals who at the youngest of age can sing, dance, act, or play sports better then those who went to the best schools to acquire these talents and there is nothing anyone can do about it.  Natural talent is a G-D given gift that should make us all a bit more faithful even as we have to take lessons from those who are barely able to talk.   They “just have it” and it’s great to try and get it yet still appreciate their natural skill.
