I often stand alone pondering my thoughts wondering if anyone out there can hear them or is even willing to listen. I’m shore many thoughts get tossed into a sea web never to be heard from again but maybe just maybe a few get stuck in the circuit board. It could be in a distant realm while those closest to the shore are the farthest away A lonely mind continues to ponder even if it is done alone.
This song taught me sometimes the cream doesn’t rise to the top. For many of the greatest songs are hidden from the public ears or maybe they are just distracted by other noise. 1/2 A Mile Away showed me the greatest music can be found not to be far from where we are looking if ever we drove a bit further.

I didn’t even pay attention to him but that appeared to want him to be closer to me. We might have been in the same room but we never breathed the same air. It’s not that I didn’t try to bring him into the conversation of my thoughts but he was always so distant although only a few feet away. It often was eerie because at times I forget he was not even there until I heard an extra exhale not coming from within. Maybe it was more frightening for him to be alone doing nothing then being with me doing the same.

Some songs need to be heard even if they are painful to listen to. They open up emotions that are bottled up and need to be let out in a way that open up your heart and soul. This is just one of the songs that helps me cope with life and the many struggles along the way.

We always had our special moments where you were naked to me and nobody else. It was just in those moments in which we were so close that I didn’t believe anything could separate us. Maybe it was the way you held me or the way our threads were so close Then I was tossed away as if the moment meant nothing to you. Only to be picked up and used again day after day as I was just some rag. Excuse Me I’m your towel and I deserve a bit more respect don’t you think?
Sometimes a song takes you back to a time you wish you had. This song takes me to that spot and brings me special memories in which I just sat back and enjoyed the moment even if I was wearing sneakers.
This song still is a hit with me even though others might not have heard it in the 1st place. It’s a classic hair metal song with it’s unique style that makes it stay there in my heart strings even after all these years.
I warn you this is the most eclectic list you will hear anywhere. From all genre’s of music to the various time periods as well my list will open anyone’s ears up and close a few. This song combined incredible vocals with instruments we hardly hear anymore and continues to bring the house down when closing any Frankie Valli and The Four Season Set.
