I’m glad that my immediate family won’t read this post because they love me the most!! Not necessarily  my 2 legged family members that’s too hard to decide but those with 4 legs and a tail.  This was determined by scientific lick and tail method.  My dogs run over to me when I come home even when others are already in the house and that is not necessarily an occurrence my other family members can site. My dogs always have licked me 2.577 more times upon return then any other family members (it could be 2.4 times my mathematical skills aren’t that sharp).  Of course the sleep test can be sited as well as they sleep closer to my side of the bed then others but that’s just annoying. So as of today I’m their favorite until another family member reads this and gets better dog treats.

Recently I’ve taken a closer look into those that have difficulty walking as too many of my loved ones are suffering.  The ease which these people got from one place to another is suddenly stopped in their tracks as if a red light is put on their legs. They might be perfectly healthy from the waist up but losing access to easily move has left the rest of their body in pain.  I release now more then ever that insuring that we do more to keep our legs healthy as we grow older should be a paramount concern and will take more steps (literally) to try to make sure this occurs.

It’s so hard to accept that a loved one is suffering from a mental health disorder. There is the “shame” you might feel as you notice other children/spouses moving up the ladder and yours is just slipping. There are those that will project their illness back on you in a defensive mechanism which only hurts them more and causes you additional confusion. Then there is our defensive nature as a whole which does everything possible before we will believe that our loved one has a sickness that happens to be in their head.  We can hide our head in the sand or be brave enough to take on the challenge so that our loved one can truly get better. Keeping in mind that if our loved one had a sickness in their heart we would treat it therefore its only a difference in location that causes this pain.

It’s hot outside so why not have a song to cool you off?  A refreshing mellow summer song that’s not too complicated but it’s the right spots to put you in the relax mode.

You try to help a person in need and they stab you and your family in the back you might be naive but you are not wrong. For giving someone a hand or a dollar when they appear to be in need is the right thing to do even if you’ve been screwed before.  Of course I don’t recommend you open your arms to everyone but if you did it might be a bit stupid (maybe a whole lot)  but it definitely isn’t wrong.  Those that have betrayed our trust are the one’s who are wrong and we are right for at least trying to make a difference.

What separates the ‘psychopath” from the rest of us is their ability to separate the evil actions they perpetuate from the pain it causes others. From Bernie Madoff to the local drug dealer it’s a simple excuse “they should know better”. The drug dealer believes that they are only giving the people what they want even if it’s their own death and feels no remorse for the bodies that lay at their feet.  While Bernie Madoff to this day believes that those who believed him were suckers and if they weren’t smart enough to realize the returns he promised were in the sky then they only have themselves to blame.   While we might believe “buyer beware” we also believe “buyer be told upfront” and that screwing with people’s minds and bodies is no way to make a living. At the end of the day  the psychopath might have a bit more green in their pocket but that won’t buy them the protection they need from the hell they’ll be going to.
