I get up extra early every morning to spend sometime with you and I don’t even know who you are. Of course my dogs sometimes give me an extra push to get out of the bed but my desire to communicate my thoughts with you the viewer is the extra impetuous to stretch those paws… I mean arms (it’s early ok).  I hope you appreciate that I do this for you because I truly appreciate this morning time with you whoever you are. Now can someone get me a cup of Coffee.  Oh I guess I’ll get it myself I’m the only one up.

Who’s fault is that the picture of 3 black teenagers is too often shown in Prison uniforms on Google Search page then the true success most are? Well let’s see who portrays African American youth as gangsters in out of prison and “wild individuals”? Could it be the liberal media who are trying to push an agenda with these portrayals or the entertainment industry who can’t get enough of this image, I’d say it’s a combination plan.  African American teenage success stories in middle class neighborhoods and inner city are often overlooked to focus on an old stereotype that truly needs to change. Yet that change must come from within the community as well as new voices should be heard of individuals who have a unique perspective or dare I say even say have a conservative point of view where individuals truly aren’t judged by the color of their skin but their inner beauty and talent.

This is one of the “National Day’s” I hope for the good of the country and nation doesn’t catch on or at least drops one word.   Can you imagine the conflict you have in deciding who your best friend is it should/could be your wife, your dog,  your friend you see at work, and even a combination of the above? What do you give a 1/8 of a card to each of them or do you have to choose and lose the other friends? This day’s celebration can bring misery to millions as conflicts of who is your best friend result in many divorces, angry fights and just plain lousy days for millions who know about it. Therefore let me make the following Proclamation “Hear Yeah, Hear Yeah from this day forward National Best Friends Day has been replaced to National Friends Day” and if one of your “best friends” complains you can say you heard it hear 1st.

No matter how your day started I believe mine was colder. For while you were enjoying the warmth of a hot shower mine was no where to be found as my hot water heater blew, leaving me with a colder feeling then when you turned your back on me (at least for the moment). I worry that the effect of this event might make others cold to me as my shower and cleanliness was a bit quicker then normal.  By tonight I hope to be back to “normal” (in the shower sense) as a new hot water heater is installed and even the water from this morning won’t cool me down as $1900 has just left my pocket.
