Gordie Howe held the minds of his sport for over 5 decades but it was hockey while Muhammad Ali held the boxing world in their vision for over 16 years. While Gordie Howe was humble with his success Muhammad Ali was anything but that. Of course the world of boxing beats up on the world of hockey yet you have to wonder whether the media has also played a role in the circus that has occurred with the passing of Muhammad Ali. There is no doubt that Muhammad Ali and Gordi Howe were the greatest in their sports at their time and contributed greatly to the world in their own way but making them bigger then life is a just a bit too much.
