Harriet Tubman is a heroic figure that fought for basic freedom in America but she isn’t the most attractive woman at least with the pictures noted (and these were the best on Google) .  Don’t get me wrong she deserves her recognition for what she’s accomplished on behalf of basic dignity in this country but the pictures they are floating out there could be improved. I’m sure there is a younger version of Mrs. Tubman that would make a better impression on those carrying this currency.  After years past her death the good pictures might have been discarded so a little photo shop wouldn’t be immoral and today even the top models get the nick and tuck electronically.  I’m sure I’m not alone in supporting Harriet Tubman’s incredible work but still hope that the Federal Reserve finds the best side to portray her.

As I pumped some iron last night (not my actual picture above) I felt a certain downtown/snappy feeling I haven’t felt in years.  I was working out with all the young cool … I um mean downtown folks and they treated me as if I was part of this club even though I was probably double their age and 1/2 their size.  I never was in the “cool crowd” growing (yes cool shows how old I am) so this felt as if I took a trip in a time machine with the body, self confidence and overall look today.  If only I could have felt that way in my previous time, life would have turned out very differently maybe not better but different and I would have been downtown/snappy and even  cooler today. Somebody get me a jacket.

Sometimes life appears to be so routine but it is a routine others can only dream of.  You peel yourself out of bed to take the dog for an early morning walk while others have difficult getting out of bed in the first place and only see a dog on T.V.   As you grab your same breakfast out of the refrigerator others start the day hungry searching for food to eat.  While you deal with traffic to get to work others search in vain for a job to support themselves and their families.  Just something to think about to make your routine day a bit better then you might have thought the day before.

It is one of the questions that help to decide what kind of person you truly are.  Will you accept the discount as you buy your goods or do you wait just before your ready to pay the bill?  For those who want it right away may not have the patience to wait or might want to pretend they understand what is occurring while those who want to wait till the end may want to feel as if they won monies gambling.  Of course the answer is the later for what is more fun then seeing your monies spent decline before your eyes and of course that is the policy I follow and I’m brilliant.  Well at least I feel that way when I see the numbers fall down even thought it would take a Carson to actually figure it out when your at the grocery store.  Choose the later and you’ll feel I whole lot richer when your done even if you spent the same monies.
