Met’s Fan Scary Halloween

Met's Halloween  biting nails

This Halloween it has become very scary for us Met’s Fans as we may face elimination or touch the edge of the knife this Halloween.  With our team 0-2 against the Kansas City Royals in this World Series many a Met fan will be biting their nails as they enter Friday’s nights game. If game one is any indicator the 3rd game might enter the midnight hour where our pitching will have to come alive from the dead.  The Zombie effect on our batting will also need some new blood as it seeks it from deep in the NYC woods. Where some lost Cubs will learn (G-D willing)  what real fear is as they enter our territory. Be afraid ! Be very afraid!

Don’t Move Alarm

looking for keys

Are you sick and tired of searching for an item a loved one has borrowed but not return then get a DON’T MOVE ALARM.  It’s fine to share but sharing the computer, phone charger, etc doesn’t mean it has to move to a different location where you have to search for later.  The “DON’T MOVE ALARM” will have different ways to make sure that you’re loved ones can use the items but not move them. Whether it be an annoying buzzing sound or a little vibration that gentle warns them not to pick it up they’ll get the point and you’ll stop searching under and over the bed for your items.  The ” DON’T MOVE ALARM” for the family member that want to keep the family and their possessions together and in the right place.

Met’s Loss- But still win

The Met’s loss to Kansas City 5-4 in extra innings was tough for a die hard Met Fan (me) that bleeds blue and Orange but there were some positive notes in my personal life that made it easier to bear.  It is best to find some positive in negative news that hits us in our daily lives.

(1) I can shave this beard that is itching me.

(2) Those T-Shirts I promised my associates will be delayed an extra day saving me $$’s.

(3) We learn more from our failures then successes. Hopefully the Met’s are learning.

(4) I fell asleep before I actually saw the loss. 14 innings, work and health don’t mix well.

(5) I didn’t get to see Mr. Met’s tears.

Love then hate!

Love hate 1 Love Hate 2

It’s amazing how you can love something one moment and hate it the next. Just a few days ago I was dealt with these thoughts.  I love to have my dogs sitting on my lap but this one day (when they were nervous) it became just too much and I hated it. I understand this change of feelings with those  other humans close then far from me when attitudes and actions appear to change like a switch but could it happen with objects. Would there be a time I would hate dark chocolate?  Could there be a time when football hits me with this emotion as well. Would I eventually hate writing this blog and stop before I ….

Maybe for a moment but just like my dogs that emotion will fade and G-D willing I’ll be back to love before I know it.  Sidney sit on my lap.

Early Morning Pain what gain

dentist smile

If her appointment was the same time as mine she wouldn’t be smiling. While you’ll be visiting the Sandman dreaming about  (G-D willing) the Met’s Win I’ll be visiting my dentist. Trust me at 6 AM you’ll be sleeping or at least resting.  They say that you can’t gain without pain but I’m wondering if this was the pain in the neck they were talking about. I guess in the end I’ll with nice bright teeth that hopefully will keep me up for the rest of the day.

Met’s World Series- Great but ….

Met's Vs Kansas City  Met's Vs Kansas City.jpg 2

I’m totally psyched up for the Met’s Vs Kansas City Royals World Series games but it can’t top 1986.  It will never live up to that team of the past which surprised the world as they pulled upset over upset.  The rivalry between the awesome NY Met’s and dreaded Boston Red Sox can’t easily be replaced as well.  Game 6 of that series was an experience that I can imagine being duplicated in my heart and soul because I was there at the game.  I will be chanting loud and proud “Let’s Go Met’s” tonight and all through the series not only because I’m proud of what they’ve achieved this year but because it brings back memories of 1986 as well.

Becoming an expert

lecture  wine expert

If you want to become an expert to the masses just continue to do the activity and use a few big phrases along the way.  You truly don’t have to be successful just be active in that “skill” and appear to know what you are talking about. Sometimes only once can make you expert for example  run for  President and come in last place, now you’re an expert in Presidential elections.  It is ironic for some may practice a skill all their life but forget those “sophisticated words” and lose their expertise while others will project those words with color after a short period of time and their expertise is noted.  As with an picture an expert is seen differently to those that look deeper then the print which usually isn’t the masses.

Use the OCB Excuse

feeling guilty

The next time others start to blame you and guilt resides in your heart use the OCB excuse and you’ll just fine.  The key is to kind find which President those that are blaming you support. If it’s Bill Clinton you can of course say well at least I didn’t sleep with an 18 year old intern in the White House and lie to a court about it.  I’m even bi-partisan, for I’m sure my friends from the left can tell me all the mistakes George W Bush made including sending us to a war based on dismantling nuclear weapons and counting those weapons as O.  Hillary Clinton has Benghazi mistakes written all over her and President Obama wow can make a sinner a saint.  The OCB excuse works all the time and should get you out of almost any guilty jamb for if the President’s did worse how bad could you be.  Now if only G-D would allow that excuse as you try to walk up.

Adacia Chambers- A story that needs to end!

Adacia Chambers

How many times do these tragedies need to occur before we get a grip on truly taking care of the mental ill!  Adacia Chambers is just the latest individual who committed an act of horror because she wasn’t getting proper mental health treatment and this is just wrong!  We need to insure that loved ones can commit their friends/family members when they are having difficulties even by force if need be. This can be done in a way that insures the privacy and protection of those that are being given such treatment including any vindictive acts,  (see previous blog post on this issue) but it must be done. Adacia Chamber not only killed the innocent but destroyed her and her families life because she didn’t receive the treatment she needed. G-D willing let this tragedy make us move to stop further violence and destruction in the future for those that are mentally ill, their families and the innocent victims.
