Israel- Iran Deal- Prophesy

israel flag 2

I heard a sermon that noted even though he didn’t understand why, G-D must have a plan to allow  “Nuclear Deal” to go through. The truth is G-D does have a plan which is revealed in the Bible/Torah that in the end of days nations will go against his people and he will protect them against those nations,then G-D will reveal the ultimate truth to the world. During the period before the truth is actually revealed there will be a great deal of death and destruction.  Yet for those that support the Jewish State and it’s people they will ultimately reap G-D’s benefits. It also says that acts of goodness and truth can avert this ultimate war (at least for the time being) let us pray these acts are occurring today maybe unforeseen/hidden to us so that we can stop this path to death and destruction.

Kerry Simon Moses Malone

Two legends in very different fields passed away on the same day and at the same age 60.  Moses Malone was a legend in the basketball court and Kerry Simon’s was a legend in many a restaurant court.  It is a sad irony that today these 2 great men passed away so young but their strong legacy will last way for at least another 30 years.

Kerry Simon

It’s hard enough to open one restaurant so when a man such as Kerry Simon’s who’s opened up many restaurants around the globe passes a way it’s a tragedy that brings a bitter taste to us all. He not only entertained many through their taste buds but his show called the “Iron Chef” which showcased many other talents.  Restaurateur’s such as Mr. Simon’s help people celebrate great moments in their life’s with splendor and as such I pray that his arrival in heaven is greeted with the same love he has brought to many.

Selfish People = Self Pain

pain

Sometimes it appears that those who are selfish get what they want but more often then not they are one’s who cause the most pain to themselves.  For as they focus most on their energies on themselves they observe any nook and cranny in their system under a microscope and as such feel it with intensity that others who care for others might ignore.  In many ways their life’s must be dealt with through pills that help them deal with themselves as much as the problems that have arisen.  On the other hand those that give of themselves will fight on when difficulties arise because they see a greater good that they must accomplish for others and this will lesson the blows in their life’s that selfish people will have to endure.

New Judaism- Formal vs Informal Prayers

Posted by Bruce - in basic judaism, Blog, Faith - No Comments

praying prayer forml

Basic Judaism believes that both forms of prayer formal and informal play significant roles in one’s relationship with G-D. It is important to pray as a group with the words of wisdom brought to us by our sages but also G-D wants to hear from us with our own heart felt message and plead.  During formal prayers you can add your own thoughts or imagery to the words on the page, to bring those words to life in your world or even focus on the key words that hold more relevance then others to you. It is important to take the time and energy to gather in a house of worship because it shows that we are making an extra effort to be close to our father and king.  Yet it is important to stand or sit with others as a community who have their own struggles and moments of joy that they want to share with others.  It is also important to keep your eye, mind and soul open to the keys that G-D has brought to you in your daily life with your own personal words back to G-D. We must realize that G-D is all around us all the time therefore we must include our G-D in our life’s wherever we go.

Who I am

ellen degeneres

Recently while listening to an interview on the Howard Stern show with Ellen Degeneres I heard her say that she had to come out of the closet because that’s “who I am” and I thought that was sorta sad. For how you have sex is such a small part of “who any one is”. Think about it does that  5 to 25 minutes every other day (if you’re lucky) make such a difference in the 23 hours of the rest of the day.

So I thought about who I am and if some of those personality traits and loves that are kept in my own personal closet.  I’m not talking about the habits that take up 5 to 25 minutes every other day but something that is truly in the foundation of my daily life and character, which I’ve kept hidden to only a few. Here are a few of those items (below) that I’ve kept in my closet that spell some of the letters of who I am.

(1) BASIC JEW– I listen to those who have spent years studying with respect but believe G-D has given me a unique path to follow that I accept religiously. I’m willing to accept changes in my path but only based on the logic that is shown in front of me.

(2) MODERATE TEA PARTY MEMBER– My philosophy concurs with most of the points in the movement but sometimes I’ve have a more moderate position (ex immigration)

(3) PRO-LIFE– In a world where that word is kept deep in the closet I proudly announce my views to the world.

(4) A LOT BIT COUNTRY & A LOT BIT ROCK & ROLL– My musical taste will annoy others but they’re just right for me.

(5) HORROR MOVIE FAN– Don’t enjoy the blood and guts much but love the tension and suspense.

(6) POLITICAL JUNKIE- I don’t think I can go 24 hours without getting my fix on a political debate/discussion.

(7) JUSTIN BEIBER FAN– Baby, Baby still rings in my head after all these years.
