Shoe’s too Tight- Walk in others?

shoes tied tight 2

How can I walk in others when I don’t have time to untie my own?  Life just goes so fast that sometimes I don’t even know that I’ve been walking let alone that others are walking as well.  I try to pay attention and take the time but these laces are way too tight. It appears there is no time to try a different pair when I haven’t even felt the one’s I’m wearing everyday.

It’s A Shame

Political Correct University Silenced

There was a time when University and Colleges were places where diverse opinions were openly welcomed and discussion was heard but now I hear silence from too many zones. Recently I was told by my daughter that her Professor won’t even talk to individuals who support/supported President Trump because of his disdain for such individuals. This professor compares such individuals as those that voted for Hitler. Yes he actually used the Hitler phrase.  My daughter is afraid to speak out and risk getting a poor grade and/or be ostracized by others so she pretends she’s someone she’s not. I thought bullying was a bad thing but when it comes to group think on colleges and universities it’s too much of a common trend.  What do you think should be done? How do we bring back civil discussions that allow for free and open debate and isn’t that the purpose for education in the first place.

1st Time – Obama + Trump –

President Obama Happy Donald Trump Sad

Don’t worry I’m not turning leaves but on this issue President Obama was right and as painful as it is to say President Trump is wrong.  President Obama don’t go on gloating about it because it took 8 months for you to agree to open up the White House visitor logs to the public so this President can change his mind even before you. The President works for all the people so all the meetings he has with individuals should be open to the public. Of course if there is a national security concern that information can be withheld for a reasonable amount of time (30- 90 days ) yet if we are to have transparent government  we must insure that the basic information on how it operates is open to all.  Details of such visits and discussions can be withheld but that they occur shouldn’t.  President Trump is time to turn that frown upside down and reverse course on such an action you still have several months to beat President Obama on this as well.

Healthcare Reform- Piece by Piece

American Health Care Act 2  Donald Trump Oops

Before Paul Ryan hands Donald Trump another “oops moment” maybe he should break up the America’s Health Care Act into the various letters/parts it’s made up and let each part be voted up and down by the Congress. These separate votes would occur all on the same day and the parts that passed would go to the Senate to vote on in reconciliation and the parts that failed could be tried again.  By having such votes health care reform will truly move forward and our elected officials will be held accountable for their direct votes by the American people. Here are some of the individual votes that should occur.

(A) Individuals and corporation can buy healthcare plans across state lines.

(B) Groups can make up their own health insurance pacts (farmers, gun right owners,  actors, etc) which would cover their specific needs.

(C) Medical Malpractice lawsuits would be capped on punitive expenses.

(D) No Mandates on the insurance packages one may get but full disclosure of provisions absent and possible cost must be clearly discussed with individual and/or companies.

(E) Repeal Obamacare

Cool = Confident not….

Cool person 1Cool person 3

I have discovered that to be “cool” is not about style (this word is definitely out) or what you have but the confidence that you wear your life with.  Yet it is a balancing act for once someone steps into “cocky” that coolness can melt away.  So you can look way out there but if you feel good about it you will seem as cool as the person trying to fit it.  You can truly follow your own footsteps with pride but not in a way that steps on others and you will be as cool as if you wore the leather jacket hey!

How many died?

daydream 1 daydream 2

How many artist have died before lifting a brush? How many writers have passed with only thoughts in their heads. Who are the great philosophers nobody truly got to hear? Everyone has some special creative force that only a few release to the world. Most bottle it up due to the constraints of an active life with work, children or just plain fear.  It is time to end this death spiral by allowing yourself  moments to be lost in the creative world with those who will know and appreciate your unique toe.

Two Rebels

rebellious 1 Rebellious 2

It’s much easier to walk a different path when someone is walking along side of you. This is  especially  true when they’re keeping pace with the way you are walking. Last night I had 2 separate incidents that proved such a point where normally I walked alone, there was suddenly an active partner by my side. A matter of fact I was happy to let them take a lead so my feet could rest from the walk.   Four feet is better then two when walking a different route.

Guilt Theory

talking to Psychiatrist Talking to Psychiatrist 2

I believe most mental health conditions can be traced back to guilt that someone is holding on to.  A good therapist/psychiatrist should try to get that person to the point where the understand where such guilt comes from and whether it is real or just perceived to be so. If the guilt has some relevance to an incident that is occurring or is happened in the past the patient will need some help in erasing this painful memory or lessening the impact. The therapist weaves a delicate web where the patient must find their own solution to erase those feelings without adding to it. Medicines might dull the pain but I believe only a real exploration of such guilt will cleanse it completely.

Work Doesn’t Define YOU…. Jesus

Carpenter 1 Carpenter 2

Whatever one’s perspective on Jesus it probably won’t be on his livelihood.  Jesus had an incredible impact on this world but you won’t find any of his day to day works on display. A matter of fact I’m not sure even the most well versed Christian Theologians will be able to site one of his carpenter works. That is because as much as we put time in efforts in the work we do it doesn’t define who we truly are today and way past the time we depart to our permanent home.  It is a footprint into the person we are and although it might appear to take most of our steps others will define us by the profitable work we do for others and society as a whole. This is not an excuse not to pick up the hammer but also to make sure we pick up a rose as well as our loved ones.

She is Everything then….

perfect woman 1 perfect woman 2

If she is everything then I am nothing.  For being with the perfect woman would mean being with the person that fulfills your ever need to the point that you don’t have to search any further.  A matter of fact she would be so perfect that she wouldn’t care about you not bringing home the Turkey Bacon or even a plate to put them on.  Your motivation to do anything would melt away like butter because she would be just happy being in your presence.  Therefore maybe it’s best to find someone who is less then perfect and work to make yourself and her happier and better everyday.
