There is some secret formula that allows large chain businesses to run without having ownership in each location which is the opposite for most small businesses. Most small mom and pop operations are truly run by mom and pop where there absence can result in poor profits or even a business closing.  I intend to find the reason this occurs.  What is the large business formula for success so that many small business owners don’t have to work till the death of the business or G-D forbid themselves?  Is it a formula that can be duplicated or is it just something that those with more resources to expend can afford to take? These are the questions that will need to be explored.   Can you find one of the ingredients that I need to make this mixture work?

Let’s face it some people just can’t stay with the same person for any reasonable amount of time. They either find faults with a partner that builds up like “Chinese Water Torture” of just get bored and start looking for company elsewhere. These individuals can only find short time happiness and long term sadness.

Too often business shuts down creativity that could help produce the profits it says it desires.  This occurs when an individual comes up with a new idea for improvement and instead of receiving gratitude for their efforts is given such negative feedback; that they decide it’s not worth trying in the future.  Here’s some suggestions to prevent this from occurring (below).

(1) Great any suggestion with appreciation no matter how unusual it might appear. For example say, “Thank you for the taking the time to think of this idea it means a great deal to our company when individuals such as yourself come up with positive suggestions”.

(2) Reward the suggestions with someone as slight as a cup of coffee or light snack.

(3) Give the individual a time-frame that is longer then expected for review of their idea. During that process keep the individual updated with the progress.

(4) If the idea doesn’t work out for the company tell specific reasons why it can’t be attempted at this time without discouraging the creative individual.  Try to give them a different task where there creativity can be utilized.

(5) If at all possible give them a chance to run a small pilot program of their idea with definitive results that they can be measured to see if it fails or succeeds.

(6) If the idea does fail let them feel good about the effort and suggest new ways there creativity might be helpful.

(7) If there idea succeeds let their efforts be rewarded.

We all crave some excitement from what appears to be our predictable lives which results on us spending monies on wild vacations, expensive toys (cars, fancy clothes,) crazy investment and or top class restaurants but just like an adrenaline rush you get a quick high then a steep decline into reality. (2) FMA- Is an exclusive Film Making Association where those members will be involved in all the factors in producing and distributing a film.  Those that commit the greatest resources to FMA will become part of the board which will determine the top choices of scripts we will consider producing, pre-production planning, and be involved in the intricacies of the film-making business. All members will have voting rights to determine which film is to be produced, a pre-audition for casting and production for such a film, invitation to red carpet screening, invitation to parties after production, and credit in film.  FMA will work with or own a part of a distribution company to insure all it’s productions will be distributed.
