Google World Google Search

Today according to the world of “Google” I’m Hispanic tomorrow maybe I’ll become Chinese. For I let play Despacito by Luis Fonsi on youtube.com long after the song ended which led me down the world of other Hispanic music and advertising and into the Latin world I never fully heard or saw before. So if you want to become someone your ethnicity or genetics hasn’t allowed you to be let Google do the search and your return home won’t require any special shoe’s just a click to a different search.

CHINA HERE WE GO

Break the T.V Rules

Genius

I broke the T.V. rules and not only did I get away with it but I enjoyed it as well. For I watched an episode of the show Genius before I watched the previous episode. This allowed me to gain a different perspective of the main character Albert Einstein as a bit more selfish then I presumed and then modify such a perspective by the steps that led to such an attitude.  It is as my mind made up a hypothesis and then had to modify it a bit due to the facts not adding up as I assumed they would.  The T.V. perspective on this man is quite complex and is drawing me to different conclusions every week and sometimes even in the same night.

A Great Airplane Movie

Lights out   Lights out 3

Sometimes it’s not what you see that matters but where you see it and that is obviously true for movies you watch on a plane. For even with the best earphones it’s hard to fully hear all the dialogue and with constant interpretations from the airline crew, fellow passengers and bumps along the way most movies don’t make the cut but “Light’s Out” works.  Horror moves as a whole work well with this atmosphere especially one’s that are full of action not dialogue. “Light’s Out” has a well thought out of script with interesting characters that help move the action along which is suspenseful enough on it’s own. The flashbacks help you with scene’s where the airplane atmosphere can drift you away.  So if you want to see a movie well made for the airline screen “Lights Out” should be your choice.

FOOTNOTE – It might work well with other screens as well.

Kathy Griffin- Real Joke

Kathy Griffin head

From now on when many people see Kathy Griffin they will have this vile picture in their heads, which isn’t the least bit funny in the world we live but their is a way to get a laugh and have some true comedy relief.  Kathy Griffin should hold up a copy of her severed head and act disgusted about the hairstyle on it’s head. She could even copies of other celebrity heads and make some jokes as well. This will still be tasteless head jokes but at least this one hideous image will be deleted from the public eye’s.

Gregg Allman- RIP- Pattern

Gregg Allman

RIP Gregg Allman who appears to be another hard living rocker who’s died before his natural times. There appears to be a pattern emerging of rock singers of the 1970’s and 1980’s who’s death can be attributed to them experimenting with life on the edge which has caused them to jump before their time. While most of us wondered  what happened to …. we now can see that there past still haunts them years later.  Some musicians and artists can escape such a fate but too many fall down those same steps. Gregg Allman RIP let’s hope that today you are an angel in the rockin heavenly clouds.

Roger Moore-RIP

Roger Moore

The passing of Roger Moore appears to be out of place for the images on the screen still stay in our heads of a young vibrant action packed star who could escape death as easily as someone drinking a dry martini stirred of course. Roger Moore was the James Bond who added a touch of levity in the role which 007 appeared to lack with other actors who took on such a position. It may or may not be the type of Bond you were looking for in the moment but it was one that you remember well past any screening.  Life moves on quicker then we can perceive so have a bit more action packed adventures with a laugh or 2 stirred in between before the time fades away. RIP Roger Moore for you will surely be missed but your visions will continued to be enjoyed by millions.

Memories WOW!

This song brings back such great memories and adds new one’s as I hear it again. Classic Rock still hits the heart and keeps it beating.  I’m still young and free at least when this song is playing.

Last Man Standing- Last

Last Man Standing

Last Man Standing has been cut from ABC lineup even though it’s still doing great in ratings which makes one wonder if there might be a political motive to stop this show. Tim Allen is a proud open conservative in a Hollywood world that has tried to keep those belief’s hidden in the closet.  While ABC plans to cancel this show it might be one of the last shows I watch from their network not because of any protest but because the quality of what they bring to the airwaves is a bit bland. I’ve stopped watching many sitcoms but now that I know “Last Man Standing” is to be cut I might be the last person to start watching it as well.

#1 ….. Song

Posted by Bruce - in arts and entertainment, movies - No Comments

“Slide” by Calvin Calvin Harris  Frank Ocean & Migos is currently the #1 Drunk song in the world.  As more drunk people have been shown singing this lyrics in bars around the world … or something like it.  A matter of fact those who aren’t intoxicated can’t seem to remember any of the lyrics.  “I’ve really tried to sing this song but unless I’m completely hammered it just doesn’t come out right “said every individual in the world.  “Slide” sponsored by Smirnoff Vodka.

The Zookeeper’s Wife-small

Posted by Bruce - in arts and entertainment, Blog - No Comments

The Zookeepers Wife 1

As I left viewing “The Zookeeper’s Wife” I felt it was fine but didn’t have the impact other Holocaust movies had on me after such a viewing.  The movie covered all the bases but something kept it small in my mind. For I wanted to believe it was going to be a great movie that I wouldn’t allow my mind to think what is was missing. The truth is a Holocaust movie should not worry about ratings but instead be concerned with the impact the film has on it’s audience and if that means showing more raw footage or brutal actions then that must be done. Characters must be well drawn out if we are to find the tears coming out of our hearts. This is what “The Zookeepers Wife” was missing which left it with a small impact rather then the large impact that it should have had as one family risked everything to  save hundreds from slaughter.
