Opening of the Golden Globes was quite elaborate and  had it’s moments of humor but did the routine “gay act” which if I was gay I would a bit annoying at this point. Overall though still pretty creative for a bunch of suit and ties.

Isn’t a bizarre state on Carrie Fisher’s life and times had their final resting place in a large bottle of anti-depressants where her ashes are kept. This beautiful star who had it all never gained the happiness that those who have 1/100,000 of what she had, enjoy.  In the end the wealth, fame and fortune was not enough to help her feel well from the medical sickness that endured in her but the pills did. Mental health is a sickness that keeps hurting until the right treatment is found and maybe that is why this was the perfect resting spot for Mrs. Fisher.

The Enemy Within lives up to it’s title for as you watch it there is a war within your body to turn it off before the ending. A great concept will not make a great movie unless internally it has the basic parts  acting, script, dialogue, cinematography which I believe the producers of “The Enemy Within” must have forgotten as they put their concept on the very, very small screen.  I made it to the end as my parts begged me to turn if off and the predictable outcome of feeling that I wasted 2 hours of my life with The Enemy Within winning.   At least I turned it off before the credits ran.

• The Enemy Within -for concept and some sound Foley.

Tucker Carlson is a brilliant replacement for Meghan Kelly as she departs to NBC.  Mr. Carlson  has taken on some of the loudest and angriest liberals in a peaceful as well as thoughtful way that leaves them speechless.  He is able to take apart their arguments stick by stick until their house crashes on top of them, before they are able to run away to another topic. He is not as funny as Meghan but has had his moments and maybe the later slot will tickle his funny bone.  Tucker Carlson may not have the looks of Meghan but his intellect and verbal skills makes him worthy of watching.

Mariah Carey screwed up on December 31st by not continuing to try to perform even with the malfunction but can we can give her break? I understand it was a big night but she has had many big nights before and has not only lived up to the challenge but exceeded it. If you allow a baseball player 3 strikes and your out (even in the World Series) surely you can give Mariah this strike without declaring her out of the game. Mariah Carey needs to change this story as soon as possible by offering a big free concert at another event maybe even the inauguration and allow this one to go away.

Meghan Kelly has been one of the brightest spots  on Fox news because of the talent she brings to the network which appears to be center right but can’t tilt a bit left at times. Now with her move to NBC will she move to center left with occasional tilts to the right or can NBC accept someone with her perspective? The challenge will not only be what NBC accepts but what Meghan really is about. Is she more into “principals and values” or is moving ahead pushing that out of the way?  We will soon see who the real Meghan is as she enters the forces of the main street media which might help determine whether it will continue to be lame or change with the times.

Hollywood will be giving Donald Trump at least 6 months break not because they want but because they have to.  The “liberal media elite” planned for Hillary to take 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and now are in disarray with their plans for film destruction of the Donald . They of course want to bash Donald Trump but have no material in the pipe line to proceed in this direction. When the films start to come out they will probably be so outdated that it will be quite obvious and even more annoying then usually with their slant. Of course they could make films that deal with the way Main Street America feels  but then I could also sell you a bridge in Brooklyn.
