Aftershock

aftershock-2  aftershock

You can handle the initial verbal abuse but the aftershock is what truly brings you down.  It might initially appear that this person has let out all the steam but that was just the water getting hot.  The aftershock creates a certain fear of engaging the individual far longer then any initial words could and occur years after the initial response has been absorbed and left it’s marks.  Therefore it is best to remember to have the two words ready at all time “I’m Sorry” and be ready to use them whenever a tremor begins again or be ready to run away when the walls are finally coming down.

A Dog’s Deadly Desire

What is good for the guy is not good for his best friend.  Chocolate can be just the desired health treatment for many  homo sapiens (contains anti oxidants, prevents heart disease, contains anti depressant agents etc) but can be deadly for our 4 legged friends as was demonstrated last night in my household. Last night I had to rush my dog to the Pet Emergency room because he in digested this product and it kept coming out the wrong way. The emergency treatment reminded me of something a person would receive if they tried to take a bottle of pills, as the vet gave my poor Sidney a shot to regurgitate the remains. Sidney, today is being monitored for increase heart beat, dehydration and other prickly side effects that could be very serious.   Please remember you and your best friend may desire the same item but sometimes that desire can be good for one and deadly for another.

Dog VS You in Brainpower

If you compared dog I.Q VS human I.Q who really is the smarter breed in your family. For example your IQ is 100 but your dog excels past many of it’s four legged kinds.  Does that mean that he/she reads the books in the family I sure hope not (they’re still a dog) but judging brilliance by what you are vs who your are is an interesting comparison.  Maybe you should be paying for their doggy college while you sit and go for walk.

YOU WIN

roll-the-dice-2 praying-2

Could you really deal with winning? Where every roll of the dice (from the 1st roll) came out 7 or every prayerful thought came true? If everything went according to your plan would you start to believe your bigger then the prayers and thoughts?  Everyone believes that they could deal with this phenomenon but how many great minds have fallen when everything appeared to go their way “too easily”. Maybe the struggle keeps us humble enough to make sure we don’t screw it all up.  I wonder as a wolf on any street whether continued success can make many a different creature then we intended to be.  May G-D grant us all the knowledge that success doesn’t just come from our hands and minds but that we are the instrument of a higher authority and if we go to far or push to fast without thinking of the truth the dice might roll or way but the table will come crashing down on us.

YOU- Make America Great Again

you  you-2

Whether you voted for Donald Trump or against him it’s time that YOU make America great again.  Those who are in a continued state of pessimism and despair over the election need to turn their frown upside down.  Trust me I’m been on the other side and still have till January till my team takes control but during those times I prayed I was wrong and you were right. I worked my butt off and helped in anyway I could to make “America Great” and even though the policies I thought would destroy this country did hurt (according to what I see) I believe the good, optimistic, prayerful action of  my fellow  of America’s citizen’s helped us move forward or not slide as far as my initial thoughts.  The truth is you’re actions and prayers have the power to change the outcome farther then you expect. So I ask that we all work together and make America great today, tomorrow and in the future.

LIMITS $$$

Everyone has the right to blow their $$’ on whatever they want but there are limits on how much $$ I’m willing to consume even in the best of time and last night tested my wallet. For there were some tempting items on the menu that once I looked at the price got me a bit nauseous. Here are just a few I decided to stay away from and my bank account is a bit happier that I did.

(1) $15- WINE- No this wasn’t a bottle but one glass and the glass wasn’t that pretty. Maybe if the wine or server danced as they delivered it to me I would considered a taste.

(2) $12 COOKIE- It was a warm cookie with ice cream to be exact but unless the Chocolate Chips were made of Gold I believe the price was extreme.

(3) $34 LAMB SHANK- Last night I decided my Kosher roots would stay true and I decided that being a vegetarian was the right decision although $17.00 for Pasta was a bit excessive as well.

Don’t worry I was a bit stupid too paying $17.00 for a bowl of soup added to that list. It was really good soup though but I think about how many bowels of Campbell I could have had instead.

My Hero

proctologist  super-hero-2

One of the hero’s that we all should respect are doctors that go in places many of us would do anything to avoid and by so doing relieve suffering as well even safe life’s.  These doctors could have played it safe and been a Pediatrician, Neurologist or just a typical general doctors but instead they  have taken to much time, monies and energies to stick their fingers and eyes in the deep dark surfaces of our bodies. Their sacrifice has saved probably as many life’s as many super hero’s and without any damaged properties.  So let’s give a hand to those who have taken on this challenge but not any fingers.
