When we watch a well made movie or documentary we become sucked into what a film-makers motives are whether we mean to or not. A good film-maker will create the illusion of being unbiased but leave holes in the side that they would be against which they hope you will feel in with their bias. Therefore if we want to see all the colors the viewer must open their eye’s to a totally different view as soon as they feel their mind has been made up for them.
G-D I pray that Hurricane Matthew ends soon as a big dud yet at the same time the “suspense” is killing us in some cases literally. For just like a great movie there are well drawn out characters that lie in it’s path. Of course we don’t want to see or experience it’s damaging blow but in a sick sense we can’t get enough of the story. Where will land? How will the people, animals and place deal with it? Who will be the heroes who risk life and limb to save others? How will the survivors rebuild after such destruction? We have the nemesis and his name is Matthew but sometimes I wonder if it’s our curiosity as well? Matthew has blow away all the competition in getting our attention let’s hope it makes it’s final act soon deep in the sea.
Last night I went to a charity event that had “The Gay Men’s Choir” which left we me with a few questions?
WHY- Have gay men been locked on of Choirs? This is if there was an African American KFC group, a Korean Fruit & Vegetable Association. If you’re looking to promote a stereotype thes might be the organizations to join.
WHO- Is this exclusive to Gay Men and if so how do they decide if someone is Gay? Aren’t gay people supposed to be “just like us” accept prefer different sexual partners? On the other hand if non Gay members join then what’s the point of the name?
WHAT- Is the purpose? If it is a “social organization” then why isolate to one’s sexual orientation? If it is just a name then how does it promote the cause of those in the community.
Maybe I’m missing the whole boat because I have a different sexual orientation but I’m not about to start the “Heterosexual Men’s Choir group” any time soon although that name would be more sensible.
In film-making as in life certain individuals are given certain roles and when everyone fulfills those roles just right you have a wonderful cut but if one is off it can destroy the whole production. For example it is difficult for the sound engineer to worry about lights and still have the time, energy and skill to do both. Even though the actors might receive much of the accolades any smart performer will realize who is truly behind making them look good.
This is similar to my synagogue which has different roles for men and woman. Although some positions may receive much of the praise those that are truly spiritual will realize the value of each individual person as if they were the screw that held it all together. G-D knows the value of each individuals role in the society we exist in now it’s up to us to recognize it as well.
If your December 31st have become a bit tiresome maybe it’s time to go out and PARTY like it’s 1999. We’re not only going to celebrate the end of the secular New Year but the last day of Hanukkah which will keep you spinning all night long. For those that might have a bit too much fun or don’t want to travel to far there’s a hotel within walking distance (make separate reservation). To make matters better the food is delicious and you won’t have to worry about a higher authority being angry because it’s Kosher. I’m looking forward to seeing you all.

As a loyal Met’s fan it’s not all tears after their 3-0 loss to the Giants in the Wild Card game last night. I’d break up my 1/2 smile in the following ways health, wealth, Me, & ets. All Met’s fan’s can take pride in the season the Met’s had coming back from injury after to injury to somehow scratch themselves up to some how make the play offs. Here are some of the personally reason’s (below) that the other 1/2 of my smile will appear later today.
(1) WEALTH- I felt bad that I didn’t make a greater effort to attend last night’s game life but if I had gone I would have felt poorer in my pocketbook and heart today.
(2) HEALTH- Honestly my eyelids took over in the ninth inning and if the Met’s entered the next serious of games I would have lost some beauty sleep. This would not only effect me but those that would be seeing me in the next few days.

Not every moment can go exactly as planned and then suddenly you’re left with free time that wasn’t on the schedule. Therefore I’ve decided to plan for these extra moments in my schedule as well (as soon as I finish this blog piece). It will only take a moment or two to write these thoughts on such a schedule but a moment that could make my free time much more productive and G-D willing more fun as well.
Just a few days ago the swords came out from all sides as I stood alone in a sea of Hillary Clinton supporters. It is true I encountered a few scrapes and maybe a bruise but my ego stood strong. I was fair game since in this pond I was the only Trout I mean Trump Supporter where many fishing hooks were sent out toward me. At times I nibbled at the bait but was as cool and calm as a Pence or close to it. Years of living around liberals has taught me well to understand their broad strokes can be hit through with a cool and calm lob. Yet I’m preparing for it to swarm my way again as that 8 on 1 becomes 12 on 1 in only a few days. This time I will even be better prepared (please listen Donald) as some friends have provided me with additional studying notes so this time I can walk without even a scratch.
