As I look into my own mirror I realize there are some topics which I consider myself “Stupid” in.  My lack of knowledge in these subject matters (below) might be because it’s hard for to absorb the facts on the table or truly I just don’t care which in itself is ignorant. Yet with the clock of life continuing to spin these subject matter will continue to be one’s I will have to consult an expert on or at least someone who has more brains then I.  For we can’t learn it all and life’s choices may make us brilliant on some and dumb on others.  It’s just the mirror that we chose to look through.

(1) FASHION- I have no clue how some item becomes Chic and another Walmart and honestly don’t care. If Walmart fits and feels somewhat right I’ll probably wear that one at least in my home.

(2) CAR MECHANICS- It is probably important for me to know how to change a tire and oil but then I’d put many a friend out of business and who wants to blamed for killing the economy. It also appears to take to long.

(3) FISHING- I understand there’s a pole and bait but that’s as far as it goes. Getting up extra early to sit in a boat for hours so that I can pull an animal out of it’s environment it’s just not my thing.  I’d rather run in at McDonalds and grab my fish filet sandwich this one comes with Mayonnaise (I think that’s what they call that sauce).

I’ve never been a big fan of “organized labor” in today’s times since it can be a prime mover in slowing  down productivity/ efficiency; which can hurt everyone involved in assembling a company but today there is a movement that they need to fight for.  When I read that 1/3 of the labor force has to work Thanksgiving and 2/5 have to work Christmas and/or New Years I know that the fight is not over.  For the good of society people should be able to spend some quality time with their families especially during  the holidays and with almost 1/2 the work force not participating I’m sure we can make a way for that to occur without  hurting the bottom line too much .  We don’t have to be in an organized movement to stop this abuse of labor just agree not to shop on the holiday’s mentioned. We’ll just have to have the Turkey with a little less gravy or the Christmas Tree may not have as many lights so that we can work to insure that more workers get to be productive not just on the assembly line but the line of life and happiness.

Today I start my bottle cap collection and although I’m behind by a few million there always needs to be a starting place. I don’t have a clue why I’m starting it maybe it’s to tell a story my first bottle cap was found in my shower where this story goes I don’t know or maybe it’s to build some unique piece of art all I know is it has begun.  Whether my Blue Moon bottle cap remains Blue because it ends at one will depend on how much time I spend looking and if my recycling interest will super cede the bottle cap and YOU! For you can send any used or unused bottle caps to the following address (below) with your own story of where they are found and or what they mean to you and somehow will combine it all to make something beautiful out of something that normally ends up in the trash heap of life.

With my previous success in the political realm I’m predicting that the 49ers will play the Raiders in the Superbowl with the 49er’s winning the Superbowl. To make matters worse Colin Kaepernick will win the MVP.  Of course my political picks have been Mitt Romney winning the President election in 2012, Marco Rubio winning the Republican Primary in 2016 and I now have picked Hillary Clinton winning the Presidential Race. Therefore I hope my political picks and sports picks continue the streak in 2017.

Donald Trump has taken the news headlines over the last few weeks by quick pivots into  being ” Presidential” while Hillary has been left in the dust.  It is not only his recent visit with the Mexican President, his relief effort in Baton Rouge Louisiana and visit to an African American Church that have made the difference but the tone and rhetoric he has used during those moments that have changed the projector y of this race. Now it appears he and his Vice Presidential Candidate will release their tax records next week.  If this occurs he will dominate the news headlines for another week and who knows where his next pivot will be?  Leaving Hillary and her campaign worried about where they can take their next step and in fear of what quick change they will have to catch up to  before November 8th.

I pray that yesterday was just a fluke and doesn’t lead to any other missing pieces but if G-D forbid it does at least I and you will know when it started. For it is common for me to forget a name but to not hear or forget something said a moment ago is a bit bizarre and even more odd is to hear words spoken that were not said.

Yesterday at Shul/Synagogue there is a prayer said when the Torah is brought back to it’s resting place which I didn’t hear yet my neighbor recalls hearing. Is it possible I wasn’t paying attention or maybe my neighbor who is in his 80’s might have thought he heard when he didn’t sure but that’s only 1/2 the story. The other 1/2 is I heard them mentioning during announcements a name that another neighbor doesn’t recall hearing. Names are similar so it’s possible that my mind was drifting and I substituted one for the other or could my neighbor not have been listening as carefully as they thought.  Either way I will investigate this further by speaking to those who would have said such prayers or made those announcements.  G-D willing yesterday won’t be like today or tomorrow when it comes to what could have occurred/forgotten and this will all be a lost memory.
