Spoiled

Cow

Unless you were born a cow in a slaughterhouse you’re spoiled and even then you’re doing much better then that veal or housefly on it’s back. For we are all born to privilege in someway and therefore it’s not what we are given that counts but what we do with it that truly matters. For some reason G-D has chosen our starting spot yet knows the finish line he expects us to achieve. How many lives have we touched or hugged?   Donald Trump might have a few more dollars then me (okay more then a few) and was born into a real estate family but he was able to turn it into an empire while others with similar starting points didn’t achieve as much.  We also never know what other obstacles a person might face to achieve one’s goals (mental, physical, cultural, societal etc) so let’s try to judge their end result instead leave that to G-D.  Back to our cow it is better to be a cow born in New Delhi, India then in Springdale, Arkansaw but you don’t taste as good.

Facebook- Nudity

beautiful woman 2

G-D has given me two eyes so I enjoy the sight of beautiful woman and am happy that they share their beauty on my Facebook page. I’m also not one who believes that a woman shouldn’t hide her beautiful body but there should be some common sense limits. For example why would a beautiful or even not so beautiful woman appear nude on Facebook. Unless I’m missing something there is no financial or even publicity gain for revealing this much.  When a person sells themselves short by revealing too much they end losing more then they can imagine including their pride.  Trust me a good look and a beautiful clothed form can seduce a viewer as well if not better then taking it all off.   I also believe pornography which has been hacked on my Facebook page is vile and ask those who have placed it on my page to remove it immediately.  There are plenty of places that seek this filth so please throw it in that garbage instead.

Home Shopping … Joy?

Joy the movie

Seeing the movie “Joy” starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Deniro and Bradley Cooper is definitely on my after Christmas list but does Joy & Home Shopping itself go together?  The movie deals with an individual who is down on her luck and is able to start a business through the T.V sales on the “Home Shopping Network”.  Many marketing entrepreneurs making a killing milking those who aren’t the least pregnant.   My point is the consumer who buys these products may experience joy at the moment of the sale but then feels the pain of the bills that come in later that month.  Many of these consumers are pushed to buy products they don’t truly need and can’t really afford because of a slick marketing campaign? I agree in the saying “buyer beware” and of course in the free market but these items aren’t free and cost many of these consumers (who are the least informed) their shirts and pants.  Therefore maybe the movie should have been called “Joy and Pain” but then who would buy the tickets.

It’s Cruel

Cold Shower

You have just clawed yourself out of bed and pulled off your clothes ready for the most invigorating part of your morning ritual when it’s COLD!!!   Yes, of course it gets you up but so does a smack in the face and who wants to start a day that way. I understand a cold shower is good for your skin but my skeleton really hates it. . I also understand that I might be lowering my carbon footprint by taking a cold shower but I’d rather take a shower in the dark then turn off this heat.  The cost is no burden to bear for I will work hours longer in the dog shift just to feel a few more moments in a nice hot shower. A cold shower is cruel and unusual punishment to start the day and I believe it should be banned from my life forever.

ghost town

I predict that in December 0f 2021 that the world will stand still for two days! I make this bold prediction not based on any prophetic vision that I have had but on science. For on these days  3/4 of the world population (or so) will not be working for at least most of the period.    Now it’s your challenge to find out why?

ONE HINT: This will not occur because of any strive but because of faith.

Christmas Day- Open Stores

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

Closed for Christmas

As a practicing person of the Jewish faith I believe most stores in the United States should be closed for “Christmas Day” and will do my best not to deal with them this holiday season.  It is important to me that those of the Christian faith have this special time to be with their loved ones in love and pray.  I will instead go to Jewish Traditional Restaurants that don’t participate in this holiday and their outlets. I believe it’s important that in a pluralistic society that we help each other lead the paths their destine to take.

Sometimes Vanilla

Vanilla Ice Cream

“Never Vanilla” …. at least that was the call of my youth but now that I got older and maybe a bit wiser I can say “Sometimes Vanilla”.  It is true that Vanilla is the most plain and least creative ice cream which goes against the basic character of me but when it’s made just right well that’s a different story.  Vanilla especially works well when you are trying to enjoy the simple pleasures of life and enhance the one flavor. So I can confident-ally say today “sometimes Vanilla”  even if it’s only one scoop and once a year.

Hi Pitched Bud

Michael Jackson

There are times in my life when I speak in the tone of the belated Michael Jackson, now if I could sing like him but that’s a different story. Usually it’s reserved for my dogs but sometimes it can be when I feel a bit silly.  I don’t understand why this occurs but it’s much more fun to speak in such a way at these times.  It’s great to have these special silly moments and then regain my “normal tone”. Yet in the end I wished I had more time being “Hi Pitched Bud” and singing like him wouldn’t hurt as well.
